    FOX has ordered THE F WORD, a bold new food variety show from award-winning chef and series host Gordon Ramsay. Based on his hit U.K. series of the same name, each distinctive and fast-paced hour will combine good food and good cooking with Ramsay’s passion, energy and humor into a one-of-a-kind LIVE series. THE F WORD is scheduled to premiere in 2017 on FOX.

    On THE F WORD, foodie families from across the U.S. will battle it out in an intense, high-stakes cook-off. In addition to impressing Ramsay, each team must win over the hearts and taste buds of the diners, celebrities and VIP guests whom they’re serving.
    Throughout each hour-long episode, cooking competition meets variety show as Ramsay chats with surprise guests and VIPs in the dining room, hosts live remotes with people from across the country, and appears weekly in unique field segments with fans, foodies and culinary experts.

    I totally agree with the method of using Yukon gold potatoes for the chips first cooked at a lower temperature and then cranking up the heat. When I was a kid making fries I tried to share this technique with my Dad but he wouldn't listen but I am the Queen a great fries. The fish Gordon did was excellent. I just wouldn't mash u those peas. I also find butter too rich so I would just use a touch of olive oil. I definitely would put lemon on my fish but hold the tartar sauce.

    A load of codswallop.
    Get a tail end cod piece and dry it out for an hour.
    Make a batter like Mam did, add a little Guiness in batter.
    Very simple.
    A good batter should just trickle of a wooden spoon mixer.
    Peel yer spuds, red king for chips best.
    Cut chips and blanch in medium salted water for 15 mins and set aside, Let them cool down.
    Get yer fryer ready, a deep pan preferably one with a lid.
    The big seceret is to use blocks of dripping, not oil.
    Get the oil to around 130c and drop in chips, low heat.
    Add a little salt in oil and some malt vinagear whilst cooking.
    Shake chips every 3 mins, bring temps to 170c and shake around until golden brown.
    Great chips.
    Put aside,fish should be last.
    Have a little flower to coat cod lightly both sides, give the batter a test for consistency, heat pan to 140c coat first fish in batter using fingers from tail and drop in gently to pan.
    After 3mins increase temp to 180c and gently turn fish over.
    Cook for a further 4 mins and remove, reduce heat and start with next fish..
    Never break the batter.
    Job done.
    Enjoy, no faff as chefs try show, is bloody easy, remember, dripping makes the best.
    Worry next day about diet

    Watched it.
    Tried it at home.
    Peas were nice. Chips tasted odd and the fish was like any other fish in batter to be totally honest.
    Filled a gap but expected more flavour from the batter.
