I think you do know more as you get older, but you have different knowledge than other people, even if it's people you're always around, like you children/parents.

Depression and anxiety aren’t up because of a lack of innocence. Teens have more and more responsibility and stress with every generation that passes, with less and less reward for all the hard work they’re forced to put in, and higher costs of living, college debt, credit card debt, and other issues that previous generations haven’t had to deal with to anywhere near the same extent.

I think people don't give themselves enough credit. I'm seeing in the comments that these aren't regular people but untalented doesn't equal regular. Everyday people are amazing but I think the habit of people on the internet is to self-depricate. You have talents even if you don't think so.

i wouldn't regard that guy's opinions too highly - he seems cognitively dissonant, and his remarks are often completely rhetorical. he, therefore, doesn't elaborate on any of his viewpoints because he knows they are fundamentally meaningless. a beta-male if i've ever seen one.

As a 20 year old I think that The older you are the more knowledge you have, but that doesn't mean that someone who is older automatically knows more than you. There are many adults that know less things about the modern world than I did when I was 10. I can same the same thing about 10 year olds now, I'm sure some of them are more knowledgeable than me.
(this is actually one of the things that pissed me off the most when I was younger, family members and teachers dismiss what you say just because you are younger, still pisses me to this day)

not able to have two instagrams because im too lazy to use the one i already own.

I think children and teens now a days are equally bad to those in the older days, it really depends on the environment-groups near them and the problems dont really change with each generation, its just that people find another way to gain access to those problems and harm themselves.

Teens now and people in general have access to the internet, its like when we took a picture of a black hole in space. its a beautiful, and amazing discovery and opportunity but its terrifying aswell. because we can learn so much, but not all is good for us, i think it ultimately depends on our environment, opportunities given to us and the people who raise us teaching us how to deal with bad and good situations. Not sure if im spewing nonsense, or if this is understandable text, but its what i believe. We need to fix poverty, the 'ghetto' to get rid of lots of bad situations that are open to kids, and help people at the same time.
