Bought one in manual with the 2.0T. No fucking way I'm going back to an auto-v6. It's a big car and it's a lot of fun. Love Toyota, but the Accord wins this one.

Have you driven the 2.0T? If you have you will know that the 2.0t is better in every way. Put your foot down and this thing moves, probably as good as any FWD car will get.

Toyotas 3,5ltr V6 are now decades in service in so much cars also in Lexus cars. I have this engine in my Hybrid at i like this so much....the moise, the reliability, the smoothness....no oil consumption after 10 years !!

Honda likes to use crappy straight-GDI engines & turbos. Problems & maintenance waiting to happen. Accord styling isn't bad though - but previous gen looked nicer. If buying now, I would choose the 2020 Honda Insight Sedan Hybrid over both of them, since I am not a fan of the Camry styling. Also, at least the gasoline engine portion in that is a normal port-injected one & won't become a carbon-sludge nightmare - unlike the current Accord or Civic. At least Toyota is smart enough to mate both port & direct injection together on their GDI engine design.

Ok, so what about the seats? Accord seat bottom is very short. And Toyota headrest thought was protruding and not comfortable. And Stereo sound quality? Too me, the Honda was awful. Really bad. Camry sounded much better. No testing for this?

I’m kind of split between these just from watching reviews, the only way I guess to see which one I like more is to drive then both. The Camry I think looks slightly better, and I prefer the v6 over the 4 cylinder, however the interior of the Honda is much nicer in my opinion also with more options.

I believe many people who have years of car ownership would have already known this, but just wanted to point this out.
Toyota never wins in the TheXvid world, most car enthusisasts would know that. Their priority lies in meeting a price point, with stringent emphasis on drive performance and reliability. They don't bother with all the fancy details that are not really the essence of a vehicle, and we can all see that by how many old toyotas that are still on roads globally today.
As a huge Japanese car fan, I can honestly say that any sensible person would buy the Accord if they are both of the same price. It ticks more boxes, and just has more to offer. However, if I was young man with no family and could afford cars in this range, I would easily choose the Camry. Let's be honest guys; infotainment, cabin design, display screen gauge cluster? When you're a petrolhead and you drive more or less familiar routes every day, the quality of the drive and a good sound system is all that matters.
Besides, we all know that the Toyota will probably outlive the Honda by twice its age.

16:58 to answer your question, no, there is not much difference in terms of performance with the hybrid version. The hybrid is actually faster than the I4 (smooth, effortless passing power). It keeps the smoothness and comfort of the non-hybrid versions. It is also much much quieter, especially when cruising and only the electric motor is on.

Great review. I would personally go for the Camry, specifically because of my commuter lifestyle. Ride quality and refinement are two of the things I value most in a car (in addition to practicality, looks and reliability/brand reputation) and I've always loved the feel of the Camry. I personally think it looks better than the Accord (I dislike that thick chrome strip in the grille of the Accord). I would however choose a different colour for the Camry.

Im iffy about honda switching to 2.0 turbo. I bought a 2009 brand new v6 EXL in 2009 and the transmission shit at 62k. I even had the extended warrenty from honda and they still tried to mess with me for awhile. I brought it in at least 4 times and they kept saying we fixed your problem it was just a mechanical/computer issue. Honda is known for not keeping their word on their warrenty. Think i might need to switch to the camry xse

Imo, I think i prefer honda, I havent drive the new accord yet. However, I drove the 2019 camry 4cylinder and it felt sluggish on picking up speed from 0.. And it roar when you hold down that accelerator, not a very attractive sound imo, and teering is a bit light but work. Compare that to my 2010 4cylinder civic and i notice it pick up smoother and quicker than the new camry, and the sound is just nicer overall, steering is nice and weighted. that just my first impression of the 2019 camry.

Nutts Mahonie True. A cousin has a 2014 BMW X3 and the turbo recently gave up. Almost went 5 years without a problem. I also have experience with a 2014 Ford Taurus turbo. Turbo failure and now drives like a lawn mower engine powers it. Turbos are fun but unreliable. Oh yeah, also my then new 2007 CX7 2.3 turbo. Turbo seals caused random smoking.

I agree. The Camry is a very good car. It's well built, but the styling is AWFUL. They made it ugly. The Accord is much better looking. However, looks are subjective I guess.
