Yes...I saw lots of iPaqs, Palm and Sony Clies being used when I was in pharmacy school as well back in the day...this really brings back memories of me and my Palm Zire 71 circa 2003.

I mean, it didn't have a full-fledged operating system or anything, but for media the Creative Zen Vision W (released same year) was absolutely leagues ahead of this thing with a decent looking 16:9 screen of about 5" and a 30GB hard drive. It also cost a hell of a lot less than this thing. It had CF slot, speaker, headphone jack, and even composite AV out too so you could hook it up to any TV. Why you wouldn't get that instead of this pocket PC for media is beyond me. Until good smart phones because a thing, I used the crap out of that Zen. I think you could watch video for a good 12 hours on it, great for travelling, commuting.

Windows Mobile was the shit!!! I had Nextel Motorola i930. Huge flip phone running WM with the walkie talkie function. Then I moved to a UTStarcomm PPC-6700 and finally ended with a HTC PPC-6800 Mogul on Sprint. Some of the best devices I ever owned! Smartphones before they were even called that!

1 I really want to see someone turn one of these old pre 2008 pocket pcs into a emulator or try to upgrade it to work today.
2 the best thing about these old pocket devices is if you ever got in a fight with a freind you could throw it at them miss put a dent in their wall then pick it up like you didn't do nothing and it would most likely be fine. ( I mean a normal grab and toss if you throw it like a baseball something will break but it will most likely be part of your freind

Worked in IT all my life and developed numerous apps for many companies over the years in PocketPC and Windows Mobile.. Some still run today and verify process/parts within factories around the world. Just because it's OLD doesn't mean it's not worthy, lol. Brings back memories!

Wow, 2006 seems like forever ago. The leaps we've made technologicaly speaking are incredible. 13 years in tech time is like eons. I mean late 2005 we got the Xbox 360. Next year we'll be getting the 4th (and most likely last) Xbox console (I'm counting all XBones as one gen (OG/S/X) that just blows me away and makes me feel old.

Psah, amateurs. I have a Palm III T|X that still works to this day. It was my main scheduling agent, and eBook reader. I used it several hours a day, every day, and it was flawless. I miss PalmOS.
