I would watch a review on every single one of these movies. Dunkey, I know it’s a passion that you might not want to turn into a job, but if you wanted to make a serious film review channel in the format of the reviews you do on movies in here, I and so many others would love that.
@MadMikesChannel there's like one reviewer other than dunkey who has the same passion and knows about movies, Chris. He's had bad reviews but at least for me most of the time he puts to words what i feel about a movie , without spoiling anything.
It's a testament to how visually cohesive and iconic each of these films by the fact that I was able to recognise most of them from just a single shot. This is a fantastic list!
Not just that, it also shows how much Dunkey actually knows about cinema. I think it would be easy to pick a non-iconic shot from most of these and make the whole thing way less recognizable. You need to really have internalized these films to pick out the best 0.3 seconds you can each time.

Can we just appreciate how well some of these edits fit next to each other? Like the wind from 0:03 to 0:04, the desert from 0:10 to 0:12, the burning wrecks from 0:14 to 0:15, the stars from 0:15 to 0:16, the flying from 0:16 to 0:19, etc. Bunch others I'm not mentioning but almost every shot is followed by one with a similar setting.
Yeah and even though he obviously planned it like this it still doesn’t feel forced because they’re all actually really good movies. Wonder how many hours it took to make this 1 minute video just because of these meticulous details. Dunkey always puts in that extra effort, even when it’s completely unnecessary, even to this day when he’s so far into his TheXvid career. No one quite like him.
Damn, imagine how long it took for him to find all these scenes and put them together so they fit as well as they do. You really can't ever predict what Dunkey's going to do next.
Dunks, my boy. You clearly have a fondness for films and cinema. I think I speak for all of us when I say that some solid movie content is a bit of an untapped goldmine for your channel. Personally I've always thought what the movie scene on TheXvid was missing were some genuine strand type commentaires and dunkviews from TheXvid's premiere musical show host/rapper.
At first I thought my audio was bugged out, but then I remembered that Dunkey is a master of silent films. Effortlessly conveying a message with the painstakingly minute effort put into every 1.33 second clip
@Scott Mccoppin honestly looking back on it i have no idea how i fucked up my math that bad but i think it has to do with how many 3’s i had floating around my brain in a not-so sober state
SO glad to see Nightcrawler (2014) on this list at 0:49. My favorite film of all time that gets better with every rewatch and one of the best performances of Jake Gyllenhaal's entire career, hands down.
loved the sound design on this one dunkey, the music clashed with your voice, creating a storm of audio cues that left me fascinated. I felt as if my mind was drowning in stimuli, as the sound effects of the movie played in the background. Layers upon layers of audio, however none of them meshed together. All distinct, all clear in your mind, right when you expected silence. There it was. Like divine intervention. The sound of dunkey’s voice. thank you for this masterpiece of mixing dunkey. Thank you so much. i have deleted all my music streaming software, from now on I will only listen to this video. I guess they were lying when they said nothing is perfect edit: I listened to this video for the tenth time now, im lost. I know there is deeper meaning behind this. This video, I can feel it, the audio screams inside of me, there has to be more. The beautiful sounds are a facade. A sort of red herring, to hide the true meaning. A lie. It is not a video at all. And these sounds aren’t sounds, just because it has adopted a video to relay itself does not mean that it is a video. I cannot explain this in full but; this video is just an instance, a moment in the works of god, of dunkey. before you continue reading, please consider watching this video again. the title, top 100 movie recommendations in 1 minute. To really dig deep into this, I need to think of one thing, you need to think of one thing. The main thing found in the title that is. what is time. A minute, what identifies a minute. to say that 60 seconds is a minute, would be a lie. Time is relative, time can change with gravity, perhaps we all perceive time differently. What may feel like a minute to you, may be an hour to dunkey. This man dunkey, how long was this for him, a minute. How long was it for you a minute. But there will always be a gap between minds. I think this explains the pure nature and excellence of this video. As to why the layers of audio flow so well. Could you imagine, the symphonies of Mozart, an hour of them. Shrunk to a minute? A bird’s song; the song of a bird trying to find the love of his life. Shrunk to a minute. Impossible as it may seem, I feel this is what dunkey has done. This video also delves into the depths of dunkey’s mind. One. Hundred. Movies. The tears, the laughs, and the joy dunkey has felt from these movies, is bestowed upon us. The undeserving listeners. We have only this video as a peek into his mind. This video is not only a commentary on time and space, but the inner workings of man. The mind is something greater however, greater than I gave it credit for at first glance. Dunkey is sending us a message, the mind is something greater, guys don’t you see. Have you ever thought about it, dunkey has thought about it. To create this he has had to think about something. And that in itself. The concept of an idea, an idea is immortal. Will dunkey live forever, because his thoughts live forever? By showing this video to us, by letting us listen to these ample recordings he has immortalized himself and this video. And immortality lasts beyond space and time, an idea, will last longer than the universe. Humanity will continue on, and push to heights one cannot imagine at this very moment, we’ll explore and Inhabit space. And as people come and go, be born and die, their thoughts will last forever. And in dunkey’s video and his beautiful video, his idea will still be here. Even if earth gets destroyed as long as a speck of humanity is left they will carry with them a record. But ideas are only idea, life may not be what we think. Life is only what you live, but the real life is only what there is in your imagination. And as dunkey fills my imagination with this wonderful audio I can only think, I know that my children’s children’s children, will see this video. They will listen to these noises. They will see this video. And just like me, experience for the first time in their lives. True perfection. 3/10 video I didn’t see the garfield movie in there, cmon dunkey, you know the garfield movie is one of the best.
Magnificent. You were able to pick some of the most memorable moments from the greatest and most iconic films of all time that allowed you to identify said movies within milliseconds. Showcasing of lifetime of memories and unforgettable moments. The amount of nostalgia I felt was overwhelming.
The fact that dunkey is able to put out another masterpiece less than a month after the magnum opus that was "Donkey Kong December" proves that he truly is the best youtube
I really did enjoy this video and thought it did a great job showcasing all the best movies, but I can’t get over the failure of appearance by Adam Sandler’s Click (2006). As the rest of the video was great, I can dismiss this as an exporting error for the time being, but I hope this does get resolved in due time.
Dear Dunkey, I have been watching you for 20 years, and this is by far the most confused I have ever been with a video of yours. Please explain this. Thank you
It's just a compilation of scenes from 100 movies. He's recommending all of these movies to us. This video is great because it effectively transitions from each scene to the next with finesse because of how the color/aesthetic of each one moves to the next. Hope this clears up any confusion.
Damn do I have a lot of movies to watch, been trying to make my way through the classics and the highly praised stuff for the last couple of years whenever I’m in the mood for a good movie. A lot of the movies in this video are on my watchlist, thanks dunkey, very cool
@jknifgijdfui you do realize that if you want to prevent from having to hear the joke then being on the opposite of TheXvid’s side of the people that want dislikes back causing the comment section to not be able to say anything about the dislike count lmao
Dunkey’s best of 2021 video had a few surprises! Conker: Live and Reloaded was an easy pick for the list but Jumpin Bean Jamboree I was not expecting. Glad Sonic R finally beat out Super Mario Bros. 2 for the top spot!
I really appreciate how you not only focus on the games and titles of today, but have a true love of the history of media and how we got here. This list is of films (especially the classic titles) are really quintessential to understanding how stories are told today. They are all incredible picks.
I love this, but I’m really starting to worry that we just aren’t getting a best of 2021 vid and that’s a bummer. Those are usually my favorite dunk vids
@Bryn EG Ur not wrong. I wanted to find an x-rated movie once and saw midnight cowboy on the list. I looked at trailers, synopsis and what not so that scene really popped out at me. He shows Goodfellas and I was expecting Goodfellas. The scene he chose though was just Paul cutting up onions but it was immediately recognisable to me.
@Adoo One of the first times he joked about hating anime he said "Unless we're talking about this guy*, you can get that shit out of my face" And the guy* was Miyazaki, so we can assume from that that he does like his movies
Dunkey, PLEASE make a letterboxd account. A lot of us would love to see your catalogue of films, and it would be an easy-access way of knowing what movies you liked, didn’t like, etc.
Dunkey's uploads used to be fairly predictable, now he just uploads whatever the heck he feels like making that day and everyone just has to deal with it. Not that I'm complaining, it's amazing.
@Skate Plays Yeah, no lie. His channel is definitely riding the coat tails of his earlier success. People can joke around about it all they like, but this video's been up for an hour and doesn't even have 150k views. That's garbage by dunkey standards.
How can someone produce such serious quality content and at the same time some of the funniest content on this platform it’s sometimes hard to believe it’s one guy with his own editing
Think I've seen most of these. Would love to see a list of the movies here though. I want to see them all because Dunkey has proven to have a great taste. Like for the time when he quit playing League
Just how happy it makes me to know Dunkey watches movies and isn't chained to the streaming chair is all I need to get from these "proof of life" videos.
I wish someone took the time to list all of the films shown. I recognised at least a dozen of them, but I'd love to have a comprehensive list to add them to my watchlist.
Here is what I believe to be all the movies shown (I have gone with the consensus where I'm not 100% sure myself). There's still a question hanging over 41 and 100 which dunkey probably just put in to mess with everyone anyway. Comment below if I've messed anything up or you're sure about those 41 or 100, thanks. 1. Throne of Blood 2. The Artist 3. Sunset Boulevard 4. Ikiru 5. Seven Samurai 6. Modern Times 7. @Hamza Mir If you’re referring to the scene with the monkeys, the Charlie and the chocolate factory monkey scene is a reference to 2001: A space odyssey, which is number 99. Number 100 would be the “The End” card at the end.
I really wish he would show his serious side and show affection for cinema. I appreciate every facet of him but i want to see more of this interest of his
100 Movie Recommendations AND a minute of silence to honor our fallen Comrades ALL in just one video! That is that Dunkey efficiency that we all know and love
Very often, I watch videos at 2x. Dunkey legit made me watch at .25x. Truly a master of the art of TheXvid, only Dunkey would make me slow down and appreciate life like this. Thank you, Dunkey.

I'm currently in a film analysis course and have seen multiple films listed in this video now that I hadn't when it was first published. What I'm saying is Dunkey clearly influenced my class.
i have just finished watching all 100 movies, i can confirm, they are undoubtedly the best 100 movies to ever exist, thank you dunkey for your great recommendation
@Truce Music it's my special ability, i acquired it after watching 10 hours of donkey kong's hit single ''I'm Nobody's Hero'' every day during donkey kong december
A sincere hope that Dunkey starts to ghostwrites cinema/film content and posts it on a separate channel A similarly sincere hope that Dunkey himself starts making more cinema/film content in a format that is allowed to differ from his usual A slightly different but skung hope that Dunkey becomes cinema
Worked at the theatre when The Artist came out and it had almost 0 ticket sales. I went in and saw it on my day off and was really moved, and still think on it to this day from time to time. Highly recommend!
There's an underrated movie trilogy I really love called the Koker trilogy. It's a strange, fun trilogy set in Iran and I think it's on Criterion channel if anyone wanted to watch it.
This video was actually recorded before Donkey Kong December, so it was already sent off to the higher ups before Super Donkey Kong Shake’s theatrical release.
At first I was like "Aw it's just a 1 minute video", but I at first I was also a dumb guy because I did not see the hours of quality entertainment you have provided here. Happy to see plenty of titles which are new to me, plenty of material for movie nights. Since you like th classics you may want to check out - Cool Hand Luke 1967
Last night, I put in a new set of earplugs to help me sleep, then browsed my phone a bit while lying in bed. I opened up TheXvid and noticed a new Dunkey upload. I selected the video and turned the volume all the way up, putting the phone right next to my ear, and still I couldn't hear anything. I noted how effective the new earplugs were and how I was really impressed with them. Too lazy to take the earplugs out, I decided I would watch the video in the morning and went to sleep. I just watched the video. True story.
I went into this video expecting a joke but this is legitimately a phenomenal list of films. All of these films are made by some of the greatest directors of all time and each are a top contender in their respective genres of film. Dunkey is a true connoisseur of cinema.
@Lazar Perić Social network is one to keep, but once upon can go (like it, but you can do better). But replacing with mononoke or kaguya would Just add more miyazaki. He's very good but it's not that varied. Akira or a kon movie would work better. Joker isn't really one i was thinking of but taxi driver could've been a great one. Although it's his list at the end of the day
@I'm Todd Howard and I made Skyrim fridge edition I'd remove "Once Upon a Time... In Holywood" (one of the worst movies I've ever watched, and I like Tarantino movies) and "The Social Network" so I could add "Princess Mononoke" and "Tale of the Princess Kaguya". I'm kinda surprised that a movie like "Joker" is not on his list but tbh even though it sounds crazy it's really hard to decide which 100 movies you would recommend.
@Firewall personally it's a 6/10 by todays standards but I like to take into account the time the movie came out so I bump it up to 8/10. The elfman score is iconic, Willem kills it as usual and is a highlight of the cast, the dialogue is cheesy but in a fun way.
@Jorell Echeverri oh yea no, i agree that its definitely a very iconic movie lol, i can respect that. and if people love it for that, good for them, i dont want to take that away from anyone. im just personally not inclined to give it any score higher than a 6/10 lol.
So many great movies that I’ve heard amazing things about but I sadly have no time to watch. Maybe someday I’ll get the chance to sit down and watch a few of them but for right now i’ve only seen a few and they are my all time favorite movies ever (besides Shawshank)
Every movie a classic in it's own right. The flowing scenes and the raw unedited silence tell a somber tale of someone who wishes that they could gush about each of these movies for hours and hours on end, yet cannot because they only have 1 minute to recommend all 100 Movies. It may not be the greatest video ever released in the history of youtube, but I'll be damned if anyone tries to say that this video isn't an instant classic.
So many great movies. Honestly, no joke comment today, this is a beautiful list of movies. I've already watched a few of them but I need to try them all out sometime.
I paid 1,5 K luckly in Poland film School is cheaper. And Poland has some good schools and great directiors. Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański, Agnieszka Holland, Paweł Pawlikowski( who is one of the part time teachers👍 in my School).
This video is a literal work of art it's literally a statement from Donkey himself it literally shows the evolution of Art in movies and the deeper meaning within life Jesus loves you guys and God bless
So I saw the thumbnail and immidiately saved to watch later thinking it'd be a funny video for later. Now that I've seen it, it will now be an ongoing mission of mine to watch the Dunkey 100. Thanks Dunk. For constantly suprising me with your content.
Dunkey is not only one of TheXvid best critics/reviewers (not joking): he also has an impeccable taste when it comes to movies. Please, watch those titles he recommends: each one of them is an example of great cinema.
While I would like someone to whip us up a list on the comments, I can already tell you I’ve seen most of these. That being said, Rear Window is a fantastic movie.
It killed me how the clip for Goodfellas is a close-up shot of garlic being sliced with a razor blade....like nobody who hasn't seen the film is going to know where it comes from. On the other hand, I instantly recognized the shot and I haven't seen that film in well over a decade so who am I to say it isn't iconic?
Dear dunk, I'm very curious to know your opinion about the difference between game and movies as medium of expression and art, which one do you prefer for when? I generally prefer movies, but not theme park movies.

Also, thank you everyone that helped get the list to completion! I very much appreciate that :)
None of these movies miss holy shit
I would watch a review on every single one of these movies. Dunkey, I know it’s a passion that you might not want to turn into a job, but if you wanted to make a serious film review channel in the format of the reviews you do on movies in here, I and so many others would love that.
You should watch his Spiderman 3 review
Dunkey on RedLetterMedia when?
@MadMikesChannel there's like one reviewer other than dunkey who has the same passion and knows about movies, Chris. He's had bad reviews but at least for me most of the time he puts to words what i feel about a movie , without spoiling anything.
I dont think he needs another channel, he can just make them here
He's far better at it than other TheXvidrs I've seen do reviews. I'd love to see more reviews as well.

I like it when Dunkey posts about cinema. It's clearly something he adores, even if his channel isn't structured around it
" i like when donkey do something, i like donkey"
Like in Donkey Kong December with Super Donkey Kong Shake
@Ryan bruh wha
@HPRshredder whar
@Scott Mccoppin honestly looking back on it i have no idea how i fucked up my math that bad but i think it has to do with how many 3’s i had floating around my brain in a not-so sober state
@Scott Mccoppin eh, i did it in my head for the joke. i was stoned and somehow thought
1/3 of 60 = 30 and that 60 + 30 = 100. don’t do drugs, kids
Might want to check your math
SO glad to see Nightcrawler (2014) on this list at 0:49. My favorite film of all time that gets better with every rewatch and one of the best performances of Jake Gyllenhaal's entire career, hands down.
Smart way to not get copyright striked 100 times. no need for sound.
@Chickenwomp Find this hard to believe, since most people (if not all) would try playing another video in the same tab.
Well anyways, I just play Winter by Antonio Vivaldi while watching. Fits really well, scarily well to be honest.
oh what the fuck, i just messed with my computer settings for like 20 minutes trying to get sound
@Import Junkie what kind of imports? Euros? JDM? Dare I say.... Korean?
I was tripping so hard trying to figure out why my audio wasn't working
Have ~90% of these in my collection already. Glad to see that Dunk continues to be a man of STYLE and GRACE.
This touched me on an emotional level, brought back a lot of good memories from movies I haven't seen in a long time. Thank you Dunk.
how iconic those movies really are!
Don’t you mean *Classic*
Lovely sites

@ELTRUT when your brain goes numb
Im honestly shocked at how many of these ive already seen and how quickly my brain processes the emotions i felt watching them
loved the sound design on this one dunkey, the music clashed with your voice, creating a storm of audio cues that left me fascinated. I guess they were lying when they said nothing is perfect
edit: I listened to this video for the tenth time now, im lost.
3/10 video I didn’t see the garfield movie in there, cmon dunkey, you know the garfield movie is one of the best.
this man really sat down and typed all that lol
Imagine being deaf lol... Wait no... Don't do that.
This is probably one of the best comments I've seen on probably one of the best videos I've seen on youtube. This will go down in my memory.
Okay so I ordered a new phone... Can't wait to hear the audio
@Fresh out The oven this is all I needed to hear
I love that you included animated films and older grayscale ones. Does anyone have a time stamp list?
see top comment
It's always exciting when Dunkey makes videos with as much as as this one. Truly his mic was perfect.
Magnificent. You were able to pick some of the most memorable moments from the greatest and most iconic films of all time that allowed you to identify said movies within milliseconds. Showcasing of lifetime of memories and unforgettable moments. The amount of nostalgia I felt was overwhelming.
You know a movie is good when it takes just half a second from a random scene to steer up memories.
The fact that dunkey is able to put out another masterpiece less than a month after the magnum opus that was "Donkey Kong December" proves that he truly is the best youtube
And not a single dislike
truly the greatest youtube that can ever be
“The best TheXvid” indeed quote that
Ill never forget Donkey Kong December.
Dom’t forget ablout his auteur film "donkey kong milkshake".
Cinema, gaming, music, this man speaks culture on every video he makes.
Seen 94 of these films feels so good to know that Dunkey has such a passion for films, he should really make more videos on them.
Not that impressive given that this looks more like a list of the 100 most acclaimed and popular films ever.
I can’t wait for Dunkey to make a second channel where he exclusively talks about movies because he seems to have such love for cinema.
I really did enjoy this video and thought it did a great job showcasing all the best movies, but I can’t get over the failure of appearance by Adam Sandler’s Click (2006). As the rest of the video was great, I can dismiss this as an exporting error for the time being, but I hope this does get resolved in due time.
Dear Dunkey,
I have been watching you for 20 years, and this is by far the most confused I have ever been with a video of yours. Please explain this. Thank you
It's just a compilation of scenes from 100 movies. He's recommending all of these movies to us. This video is great because it effectively transitions from each scene to the next with finesse because of how the color/aesthetic of each one moves to the next. Hope this clears up any confusion.
By having no music your are forced to really focus and pay attention
He likes movies so he made an edit recommending them
movee
Putting it on 0.25 speed didn’t help me understand half the movies
I've seen like over 70 of these movies and i gotta say, Dunkey truly owns my heart when it comes to movie picks.
Damn do I have a lot of movies to watch, been trying to make my way through the classics and the highly praised stuff for the last couple of years whenever I’m in the mood for a good movie. A lot of the movies in this video are on my watchlist, thanks dunkey, very cool
Whoa, thanks for sharing some of your favorite movies with us Dunkey! A lot of em here I would never have expected
You are a genius dunkey. This was very touching. Great lineup.
With no sound or anything he can still prove it’s that easy to get no dislikes!
@YeaMan learn to spell page right first
You cant hear this?
Such a funny joke you commented.
I love the fact that most of my personal favorites were in here! Especially Yojimbo, such a slept on film.
Jokes aside, I think this video really shows how incredible these films are that they’re all recognisable in under half a second of silent footage.
@Prison Mike "The worst thing about prison was the... was the dementors."
@Antonio Molina Torres
lol its been a long time since i saw that video i do remember him saying unless its this guy lol. my b
I recognized like 3 or 4
@Adoo One of the first times he joked about hating anime he said
"Unless we're talking about this guy*, you can get that shit out of my face"
And the guy* was Miyazaki, so we can assume from that that he does like his movies
if you put this on loop it flows seamlessly within itself, and pairs really good with just about any song.
Dunkey, PLEASE make a letterboxd account. A lot of us would love to see your catalogue of films, and it would be an easy-access way of knowing what movies you liked, didn’t like, etc.
Have ~90% of these in my collection already. Glad to see that Dunk continues to be a man of STYLE and GRACE.
You stole this comment.
This was honestly one of dunkey’s best videos but it got so few views. Makes me sad :(
Dunkey's uploads used to be fairly predictable, now he just uploads whatever the heck he feels like making that day and everyone just has to deal with it. Not that I'm complaining, it's amazing.
@Skate Plays nah
@Skate Plays Yeah, no lie. His channel is definitely riding the coat tails of his earlier success. People can joke around about it all they like, but this video's been up for an hour and doesn't even have 150k views. That's garbage by dunkey standards.
@Beecher Greenman extension shows dislikes. they're at like 0.5%
@Skate Plays not really. go back to 2010-2014 it's not good. For one thing 80% of it was league of legends content.
Insane video once again. dunkey is always innovating!!!
How can someone produce such serious quality content and at the same time some of the funniest content on this platform it’s sometimes hard to believe it’s one guy with his own editing
would love to see more movie reviews from u, u very clearly have a great taste in films!
Think I've seen most of these. Would love to see a list of the movies here though. I want to see them all because Dunkey has proven to have a great taste. Like for the time when he quit playing League
This is why I love Dunkey man, such a moving piece. The no audio really makes the viewer feel like batman.
If this guy is a TheXvidr, i’m Batman. Awful editing.
Like Daredevil you mean
It’s got a little something for everyone
how do the comments make the same joke every video and its still funny
@Squidly This doesnt make any sense what you are saying
Just how happy it makes me to know Dunkey watches movies and isn't chained to the streaming chair is all I need to get from these "proof of life" videos.
I wish someone took the time to list all of the films shown. I recognised at least a dozen of them, but I'd love to have a comprehensive list to add them to my watchlist.
There is a comment here by Erudite Lemur that is hearted by Dunkey. They, along with other people in the thread, made the list of all 100 films
It plays just like a dream, one where you never know what’s happening and the more you try to think about it after you woke up, the more you forget
Something about the Shining shot just stands out as so unlike the rest. I know Dunkey is a big Kubrick fan. This is a great video

Thank you for you service, sir
100 is Charlie and the chocolate factory. The original I think. its the scene where willy wonks transports a bar of chocolate into a TV
Where' Ratatouille?

my man never saw ratatouille
dunkey's appreciation for ghibli makes me hope for his review on one of them. it will literally be be the best
You can tell it's a good movie if you can tell what it is from half a second of footage
I really wish he would show his serious side and show affection for cinema. I appreciate every facet of him but i want to see more of this interest of his
100 Movie Recommendations AND a minute of silence to honor our fallen Comrades ALL in just one video! That is that Dunkey efficiency that we all know and love
Who is being honored?
@TippyHippy you ought not to
That why its silent lol
@TippyHippy you gotta get that checked out by a surgeon man, that sounds painful
F
Very often, I watch videos at 2x.
Dunkey legit made me watch at .25x. Truly a master of the art of TheXvid, only Dunkey would make me slow down and appreciate life like this. Thank you, Dunkey.
thank you for the inspirational words, Kenton.
this Is some of the reason he's so creative. has a vast knowledge of knack

This is wrong. Fight club is definitely not in this video
0:06 is Eraserhead
I'm pretty sure that in somehow between 0:47 and 0:48 is The Florida Project dir. Sean Baker (it's a beautiful film I'd say you go check out)
Wake yourself up within my channels description for all your woke necessities
Ur missing I’m thinking of ending things it’s the shot of the car in the snow
I'm currently in a film analysis course and have seen multiple films listed in this video now that I hadn't when it was first published.
What I'm saying is Dunkey clearly influenced my class.
Dunkey recommending paddington 2 is all I need to see I love that movie to death and the fact dunkey likes it is a good thing
I come back to this video sometimes, and on every rewatch, I am moved to tears.
Dunkey being a fan of Studio Ghibli warms my heart more than it should.
Also the fact he recommends Ponyo first is somehow the most Dunkey thing ever
i have just finished watching all 100 movies, i can confirm, they are undoubtedly the best 100 movies to ever exist, thank you dunkey for your great recommendation
@Truce Music it's my special ability, i acquired it after watching 10 hours of donkey kong's hit single ''I'm Nobody's Hero'' every day during donkey kong december
In a years time, people will take this comment at face value
@YeaMan u got mad dookie on you page
Lol you commented this less than THREE MINUTES after he posted it
LMAO like dude watched all 100 movies one minute after the video came out
A sincere hope that Dunkey starts to ghostwrites cinema/film content and posts it on a separate channel
A similarly sincere hope that Dunkey himself starts making more cinema/film content in a format that is allowed to differ from his usual
A slightly different but skung hope that Dunkey becomes cinema
Worked at the theatre when The Artist came out and it had almost 0 ticket sales. I went in and saw it on my day off and was really moved, and still think on it to this day from time to time. Highly recommend!
This video was fun to try and recognize each movie in such a short blip. Surprised myself on a lot of those.
Dunkey, you're my hero for knowing Beat Takeshi's stuff. Kikujiro still gets me every time.
You know what makes all of these movies great? They all have Chris Pratt in. He's so cool.
the temptation to make a joke about chris pratt in it follows is stronger than the will to not spoil it for anyone
Wow I can't believe my favorite commenter is so verbose and erudite! :D
And the Super Mario movie will be the second one released in North America! Definitely movie of the year material.
They also have the rock walking through a jungle in shorts aswell, very epic.
Have ~90% of these in my collection already. Glad to see that Dunk continues to be a man of STYLE and GRACE.
You know dunkey has taste when he even bring Zodiac, Social Network, Inception, Spirited Away, It Follows and Django Unchained as his recommendations.
There's an underrated movie trilogy I really love called the Koker trilogy. It's a strange, fun trilogy set in Iran and I think it's on Criterion channel if anyone wanted to watch it.
For those who decide to watch some of the older movies, as long as you're visiting the days of black and white anyway you oughta watch 12 Angry Men.
Dunkey not including the Super Donkey Kong Shake (which is arguably the greatest film of all time) just shows how humble he is.
Bunky lost all credibility
Dunkeys hillarious fans make him greater.
Wow I can't believe my favorite youtuber is so verbose and erudite! :D
This video was actually recorded before Donkey Kong December, so it was already sent off to the higher ups before Super Donkey Kong Shake’s theatrical release.
Super Mario Bros was better
Castaway, Forest Gump, and Shaw Shank are my all time favorites and Im surprised theyre not on dunkos list.
At first I was like "Aw it's just a 1 minute video", but I at first I was also a dumb guy because I did not see the hours of quality entertainment you have provided here. Happy to see plenty of titles which are new to me, plenty of material for movie nights.
Since you like th classics you may want to check out - Cool Hand Luke
1967
Last night, I put in a new set of earplugs to help me sleep, then browsed my phone a bit while lying in bed. I opened up TheXvid and noticed a new Dunkey upload. I selected the video and turned the volume all the way up, putting the phone right next to my ear, and still I couldn't hear anything. I noted how effective the new earplugs were and how I was really impressed with them. Too lazy to take the earplugs out, I decided I would watch the video in the morning and went to sleep.
I just watched the video.
True story.
This is brilliant. I need more videos like this.
I went into this video expecting a joke but this is legitimately a phenomenal list of films. All of these films are made by some of the greatest directors of all time and each are a top contender in their respective genres of film. Dunkey is a true connoisseur of cinema.
@Rakanishu2 who asked ya?
I love how at least 4 Kubrick films always make it onto must see lists, truly a great visionary in the most literal sense of the word
I paid 40k a year for film school and this was better than all of that
I paid 0 money for six years in a federal university and I've seen all of these, viva a ufes
@o0U0o almost every college or university in the usa, yeah... student loans are a big problem over here
@pyrotechnick well I like the clips he choose and the lack of music or Sound is very effective. While watching it in night.
I paid 1,5 K luckly in Poland film School is cheaper. And Poland has some good schools and great directiors. Andrzej Wajda, Roman Polański, Agnieszka Holland, Paweł Pawlikowski( who is one of the part time teachers👍 in my School).
@Pedro Pinheiro Most of these movies are box office hits haha
This video is a literal work of art it's literally a statement from Donkey himself it literally shows the evolution of Art in movies and the deeper meaning within life Jesus loves you guys and God bless
So I saw the thumbnail and immidiately saved to watch later thinking it'd be a funny video for later. Now that I've seen it, it will now be an ongoing mission of mine to watch the Dunkey 100. Thanks Dunk. For constantly suprising me with your content.
This whole video was made just to show Dunkey's subtle humor by putting The Matrix Reloaded instead of the original.
I’m honestly pretty proud of myself for getting Casino Royale with the shot he gave.
and there I thought donkey kong december could not be topped :0
Such a legendary set of videos donkey Kong December and the mid of January had to show
Ready for 100 of my favorite films? Here goes:
The MCU is pretty good.
Dunkey being a Matrix Reloaded enjoyer brings me great happiness
I rewatched Whiplash the other day, that movie has probably one of the best movie endings of all time
It killed me how the clip for Goodfellas is a close-up shot of garlic being sliced with a razor blade....like nobody who hasn't seen the film is going to know where it comes from. On the other hand, I instantly recognized the shot and I haven't seen that film in well over a decade so who am I to say it isn't iconic?
My goodness. I would love to hear his review of pocco rosso. I wanna hear what he has to say about the writing.
Dear dunk, I'm very curious to know your opinion about the difference between game and movies as medium of expression and art, which one do you prefer for when? I generally prefer movies, but not theme park movies.
No dislikes to be seen. Truly the greatest movie recommendations video of all time
Hilarious!! 😐
@Rosemary'sBaby not accurate
Maybe this remark will be funny again in about 10 years when no one even remember there was a dislike-button
this video has 139 dislikes as of now
