The fear discussion applies to every creative thing to show your work ( drawings, videos, photos, books) til someone told me just do it. There also the little voice that says your work is not as good as someone else’s work. Stop comparing your work to others Helped me tremendously. Everyone has a unique style and talent. Wow, thanks for sharing this, I relate to it so many levels! 😄 Done that in 2014 with a very niche subject and there is a real danger when you're in Islamic Studies even if it's about history (continued into 2018 when I was changing my career completely which made it increasingly hard to think of interesting subject and the GDPR put us on a hold and the break led to me not returning to it). The thing about being original or an expert is SO academia, the hatred of self-promotion as well (also upbringing, thanks for the book tip, I'm stil, struggling with that) and I sometimes think academics invented imposter syndrome too. 😂 I'd be blogging again now if I hadn't associated non-fiction writing so much with work during my time in academia that I simply can't persuade myself to do it again as it feels like /effort/ right now. 😅 Hence started a TheXvid channel - yes, I know, editing video is /more/ effort than writing a blog article but it doesn't feel like it right now. Just about to level up and share more about myself on the channel or possibly create a personal one aside from this business channel once I have a few videos for that. Also, very true that the subjects kind of "grow" and expand when you're writing because you start to give constant attention to it. Have had that happen with several totally unrelated subjects throughout the years. My experience: As long as you're interested in something and put regular attention on it, you'll never run out of articles.

I have been writing since I was 10. I definitely can relate to this. To writing online and filming videos online. Truly inspirational. I am so glad to have come across this video! ✨

I've watched a ton of productivity videos recently, but I've found yours to be the most helpful. For the longest time I've felt like I have nothing to say, and now I understand that it's because I'm not paying attention to my thoughts and my process. I need to document these things, even if I don't end up using them on a blog post. So the takeaway for me is that I need to give myself the time to experience whatever I'm reading, and document the thoughts and reactions that come up.

Thank you! I started a blog last summer because I wanted to share my experiences with others.
But in the last 3 months I stopped because I’ve ran out of ideas to write about. I feel like there’s nothing else I actually know enough about to write a whole post about it. I started my first website and it failed, I never gave up I started the second one and fortunately it took off. Watching this in 2022 with a new project with a constant schedule of pushing content on a daily basis. I just feel so motivated and so happy that I made this decision after finishing my high school 🎊🎉🏫💯💜

I started a blog a few months ago and I can already feel so many benefits from it!
It has 1) made me more confident in my writing skills and made my childhood dream of becoming a published fiction author more plausible, 2) made the idea of starting a YT channel less scary, 3) improved my typing speed, 4) clarified my thought process and 5) made me aware of how many things I have to share with the world - and by extension it has showed me how wonderful of a life I'm actually living that I get to do these things.
And all of this is just on top of the skills I've learned about webdesign, coding, etc. Which I'm sure will come in handy regardless of what I might end up doing in the long-term future.

Started my first blog today at 29. Always my dream to write. Going for it now . Great video

I keep thinking I’m a failure and lazy and that my life will turn out badly because of the doubts I have. Of course, doubt leads to inaction which can lead to a bad life, but I thought just having those doubts was instant death for my dreams of having a good life.
