Trying The FRUITARIAN Raw Vegan Diet For A Week 🍎🍌🍍

  • Published on Jan 10, 2018
  • I completely changed my diet to being fully raw, vegan, FRUITARIAN (75% entirely fruit, no animal products, meat, dairy, or anything cooked above 118 degrees Fahrenheit) for a full week, and it was an insanely wild ride! Be sure to follow Robby and check out Mel’s e-book if you’re interested in learning more about becoming fruitarian or involving more cool fruits in your life!

Buying foreign fruits is very bad for the planet, these fruits travel by plane, trucks or boats and pollute a lot !
These people should try to eat local fruits and veggies from their local market.
    Vegan. Local. 0 waste.

I feel like this video was really just about praising the fruitarian diet and raw veganism and not a lot about how to actually do it and answering obvious questions about things like the nutritional value, and how to do it if you don't have somewhere like that fruit market to go to

    • Adrienne Reimer

Aisha S yeah I just think if she was going to be talking about how amazing it was she should have actually informed people more on it, because at the end of the day people might take this and think that since she did it and said it’s so amazing that they can do it too and not actually look into how nutritionally restrictive it is

    • Aisha S
      Aisha S 3 days ago

Because she was just *trying* it out. She's not becoming a fruitarian and demonstrating a guide. It's just her personal experience for one week

Fruitarian and vegan are not the same. There are vegans who are fruitarians but not the other way around.
Also, diets affect people differently so he shouldn’t be making that claim.

So you're going to promote this as safe and not point out it's dangerous pseudoscience? There is NO evidence that eating all fruit helps insulin resistance. This is DANGEROUS.

There is no way you can get this variety of fruits living in the north. These are all tropical fruits, they are not sold in most places

  • Kristina Harlow
    Kristina Harlow Month ago

Stating that this diet “reverses insulin resistance” is kind of a leap. Since type 2 is curable, a healthy diet and exercise can cure it. Maybe this works for some type 2s or prediabetics, but you should ask your endocrinologist and a clinical dietician about this before trying it. Fruit has natural carbohydrates that spike blood glucose, so I’m not sure how this would work for someone on a carb-restricted diet

This might be a dumb question...but are all the meals cold? I would just miss eating hot meals so much! I guess this diet is fine in LA where it's warm all the time, but in a colder climate do people at least make hot veggie/fruit soups sometimes??

Michelle is great and I love her content but i wish she wouldn't have showed raw veganism any mind. It's truly not a healthy way of eating. It's extremely deficient in vital nutrients and not to mention completely unnecessary.
Just because fruits and vegetables are healthy, doesn't mean it should be your only source of nutrients. Raw veganism just makes veganism as a whole look even more unattainable in my opinion.

I'm sorry but ya boy honestly looks like he has Jaundice. I'm a health nut & definitely think it's possible to be healthy & not eat anything animal based BUT our bodies need grains, legumes, prrotein, omega 3 fatty acids from nuts. Diet can't strictly be fruits & veggies.
