Religion of Peace strikes again

Classy negro. www.midwestsportsfans.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/kareem-abdul-jabbar-middle-fingers.jpg
One hitter quitter! And Benson was never the same after getting his jaw jacked.
Never the same? It was his first game. He went on and played for many years.
Kareem might not have been able to take Bruce Lee, but he could handle Kent Benson.
I could knock Kareem out with a sucker punch.
down goes Benson, down goes Benson!
racist white ref right there. Why didn't he call up when kent made that one cheap against kareem first? well deserved punch lol
Not sure if the quote is accurate, but Kareem sounds like he overreacted big time. Life or death? Wanted to kill Benson? Blind - sided him in the eye? Then runs away? For an elbow?
Joey Diaz brought me here haha cocksuckas
Why fight or start a fight with someone who was trained by Bruce Lee?....He must not have seen " The Game of Death"
My brother broke his hand. his name is also Karim, aka. on youtube, M/\LITHICUS
I'm a 53 year old former Division I and international player of 7 seasons of the mid 80's and early 90's. I surely remember this incident, but have forgotten some of the particulars around what was "supposed" to have had happen between Kareem and Benson leading up to the elbow and the punch altercation. I will emphatically state that any athlete that respects himself and his craft is not going to let some rookie at that throw a cheap shot elbow like this to the stomach without serious retaliation. I would have done equal as Kareem to establish serious boundaries. It's clear this was a premeditated elbow, it wasn't even in the heat of battle for down low positioning. If he had any basketball street knowledge he would have known you don't cheap shot someone this bad and turn your head from the play. He was a total fool and got what was coming.
should have done a big kick to the chest like in the game of death
Breaks hand he also ruined the mans life should have hit him in the gut
Moron, if Benson throws a sucker shot first then Kareem's is no longer a sucker punch but a retaliatory strike.
Interesting how this still creates controversy years later. As a Kareem fan, a Laker fan and a UCLA fan, I still feel Kareem should never have sucker punched Benson. Benson was a great college center, but did not have the size to dominate the NBA, but his career was altered from that moment on. He did what hundreds of players have done, elbowed the opposing player when the refs were not watching. Benson was wrong, but that does not warrant a sucker punch. Kareem cost his team dearly by punching Benson, and the Bucks. Both were wrong but Kareem as a veteran could have schooled Benson in the game and that alone would have been payback. He did the same thing against Tommy Burleson, who unlike Benson, was playing exceptionally well at the time of their altercation-and at 7-4, dropped 35 on Kareem. Objectively speaking, Kareem in the mid-70's was quite militant, unlike the thoughtful Kareem of today, He will always be one of my favorite Bruins and one of the most thoughtful and intelligent players ever to compete in the NBA, but in the Benson case, he made a costly mistake.
Either way Benson got knocked the fuck out!
White people are racist
It took like 15 seconds for jabbar to get his wind back, big deal. They had both been banging each other. Jabbar threw a blind side punch that could have caused permanent damage. The act showed a Felon-like mentality from a spoiled multi millionaire used to getting a free wealthy man's pass. There's a guy on you tube who got a life sentence for blind siding a guy in a fast food restaraunt. The very least he could have done was to square off with him before throwing a punch. He wouldn't have looked so poosy that way.Of course Benson was watching Kabong out of the corner of his eye,Gangsta Talk,he was defending the basket and trying to watch out for the noted hit and run boy at the same time.
You still mad your boy got KTFO by a black muslim LOLOL?
+Imad Basayev That's all you got?You Must be a hit and run sandmonkey.
+Sam M You're failing worse than a cracker in his first nba game ;-)
+Imad Basayev You peed your panties there on that last LOL, Frilly Boy.
+Sam M Come on sweetheart, you can do better than that LOL.
Kareem had to get his baring before he tee off on Benson
He had to catch his breath because he got winded by Benson's sucker shot.
And Benson knew he was about to get snuffed. Look how he keeps watchin his back while KAJ is recovering.
I think he was making sure Kareem wasn't trying to cut to the rim or set up an area to post up.
He was playing defense, dumbass. No expecting a cowardly sucker punch.
Right in his solar plexus, you know he was pissed even before he dropped his ass.
The ballerina referee at the end really makes it.
Benson had it coming and got what he deserved. Folks talking about Kareem elbowing Benson all game long are lying. Lying to try to put Benson in the right and Kareem in the wrong. I saw this game live. It was only 2mins or so into the game when Benson threw the elbow. The only thing Kareem threw in that entire game was that vicious right hand that Benson deservedly ate!
Smileyfacedkiller you watch Tariq Nasheed

He got knocked the fuck out straight up lol and he deserved it
+200mphz06 it's easy to call someone a pussy or talk tough on the internet. but in reality if I elbowed someone in the gut I deserve to get punched. it's a logical natural reaction to getting hit. that guy got what he deserved and obviously kareem can fight
Kareem just had 'Game of Death' flashbacks
+Bootney Farnsworth are you talking about the Las Vegas shooter?
FuckYoFlag Devils He got elbowed in the stomach...
Kenny Tee it was the 70's, and niggras was waiting for any reason to punch a mutant cracker....oh the good old days!....shout out to Stephen Paddock, a true Amerikkkan hero!😂😂😂😂😂😂
I hate sucker punches, but that was not a sucker punch. When you look around, make sure nobody is looking, then load up with a vicious elbow to the gut, you just started a fight. If you are cowardly or dumb enough to turn your back after doing that, it's your fault you didn't see the punch coming. Definitely not a sucker punch when the guy getting punched is the one who started the fight.
+Johnny 34 Elbows happen often in basketball. Kareem started the elbowing in this game elbowing Benson prior to this.If you think en elbow to the gut is equivalent to a sucker punch to the face breaking facial bones and his own hand, allow me to take an elbow to the gut after which I punch you in the face and see if that's fair.If Kareem would have walked up to Benson afterwards and challenged him to a fight, that would have been fair, or if he would have elbowed Benson back to the gut. Obviously elbows had been traded and Benson didn't expect it to escalate to a cheap shot to the face. But then kareem was known for being a sucker punching coward. Perhaps Benson wasn't informed.
Okay, so if you punched somebody in the stomach, knocking the wind out of them, and then turned your back, you think that means you aren't in a fight? You have a punch coming and you know you have a punch coming. It was cowardly for the guy to hit and then turn away.
+Johnny 34 That was an unannounced sucker punch. They were trading elbows prior to this. If you think an elbow to the gut is equivalent to a sucker punch to the face, you're crazy. The coward did the same to Burleson. I watched that game. Nagy watched this game. Kareem later in an interview said, " I shouldn't have done it. I could have killed him". Do you not agree with him?
+Johnny 34 Yes, if that is what had happened, Benson would have been totally wrong. However, that is not what happened. The two were going at it from the beginning of the game, and it was Jabbar who started it. Even if it had not been, walking up and punching someone who had merely thrown an elbow is indeed a sucker punch. The Free Dictionary: sucker punch Also found in: Idioms, Wikipedia.sucker punchn. "I decked Kent Benson because I wasn't going to be abused. Benson was another white hope fresh out of college and looking to make a name for himself. The Lakers were playing in Milwaukee. It was 2 minutes into the 1st game of the season; Milwaukee had scored, and I was jogging downcourt about to establish position to the left of the lane. There is a standardized amount of jockeying that goes on as the offensive player tries to claim and hold a space on the floor that he can use to his best advantage and the defensive man, using whatever means he can, attempts to deny him that privilege. Benson had no experience in the professional world, did not know the parameters, all he knew was that the book on me was, you muscle Kareem. He was going to show me that he didn't back down a step, that he was a man. I had gotten behind him and was ready for the ball when he glanced around, saw no one was looking, and threw a vicious elbow that caught me flesh in the solar plexus. He knocked the wind right out of me. Immediately, I was back in the streets: With no breath I expected him to keep attacking me, because in New York that's exactly what would have happened. I was doubled over, on the playground, dealing with another beating. I hated it; I hated him. I kept saying to myself, If I can just get my breath back we will have a final confrontation.I started to breath again, in gasps like I was crying, and as soon as I could finally move, I ran out there and fired on him. I wanted to kill him. If I'd hit him a good shot in the temple, I believe I would've killed him. Fortunately, for all my training in the martial arts when it came down to delivering a blow in anger I went with the roundhouse right and hit him in the orbit of the eye. His skull absorbed some of the impact. He went down as if he'd been shot, but I was yelling at him, wanted some more. This was life and death for me, and I was fully prepared to carry it out to it's conclusion. Benson was a big man, six eleven, two hundred forty five pounds; he could have damaged me. I had organs inside that didn't need to be getting hit by him. It was early in the season, and I wasn't going to let this be established as a precedent. I wasn't going to stand for it."-From Kareem Abdul Jabbar's autobiography, 'Giant Steps', pages 284-285
shut up dumbass +200mphz06
shut the fuck up troll, that's not racist at all, you dont know the meaning of racism. racism involves systematic discrimination and oppression. +tolivr
In today's society, this is called assault.
1955? The year young Till was brutally slaughtered. Good pick!
This video is the perfect metaphor for Kent Benson's NBA career. Think of it this way, Benson played for 11-12 seasons and this is his ONLY highlight on TheXvid. Paul Mokeski has more highlights.
Mokeski got his nose broken by Charles Oakley
I WATCHED Kareem at UCLA, and his entire NBA career, and saw Benson play in college and the NBA. No question Kareem was much better but he was better than pretty much any center in history. Benson WAS NOT A BUM! He was a journey man-but anyone who plays 10 years in the NBA has talent. His career high in points was 28 and in one game and in rebounds was 22. There are players today who would be considered rebounding machines with 22 in one game. Benson was a great college player who was an average NBA player. That makes him better than 99pct of everyone else. He has a much better career than Richard Washington, who was Marques Johnson's team mate. He also has been very successful post NBA. The punch was-and always will be-a cheap shot. I am a Kareem fan, but facts are facts.
+Marquis De Suave: You are right; Benson was an NBA journeyman. That, however, almost certainly makes him infinitely more successful in his career than you are in yours. Additionally, the for most people with some sense, which excludes you, is what was wrong about this incident,, not who had the better career.
+Marquis De Suave Deny away all you like. Why don't you provide a video of the game to prove your point?
+200mphz06 why don't you show me the video that proves your point?oh wait, you cant, because the video proof doesn't exist. Benson was a bust and his only value on the team was as a thug. But do keep lying, it's amusing to see crackers such as yourself show your true colors.
This video doesn't show the elbows Kareem gave to Benson. Sucker punching to the face is the act of a coward. Kareem also sucker punched Tom Burleson. "The shot that I took from Kareem, from the blind side, could have ended my career. I could go out and ruin his career. Hit him when he's not looking, but I don't believe in hitting anyone from the blind side or when they're not looking." -- Tom Burleson. Here's a podcast with an interview of Kent Benson talking about what led up to what happened in this video. Go to the 14:25 minute mark. soundcloud.com/the-pressbox-podcast/kent-benson-interview
I watched the Burleson game as it was televised in LA when the Lakers played the Sonics. It was, just like the Benson game, a cheap shot by Kareem. Burleson dominated him by throwing down 35 against him, and had Burleson not gotten injured, just like Bill Walton, he could have been an NBA all-star for years. The punch Kareem threw was totally unwarranted. The problem Kareem had was back in those days, he was very militant, and he himself has stated his views on race relations, especially then, were extremely militant. That was understandable when you look at his past and see the many injustices he dealt with, but nonetheless the fight against Burleson was not justified.
well that punched totally worked...
+yusuf zulfi: What a great talent! Sign him up to a pro boxing contract, because it takes enormous skill, speed, and power, not to mention integrity, to KO someone with a sucker punch.
Don't fuck with Kareem lmao
+200mphz06 Say it again without crying, little girl.
+Imad Basayev Cracker, peckerwood, honkey.....you got it wigger boy.
+Imad Basayev Long time no talk. What up, wigger boy?
Don't smeer your lipstick.
+Sam M Nah i got it from yo mama, Tell her to clean her ass.
Even Larry Bird hated Cunt Benson: www.nytimes.com/1989/12/10/books/in-short-nonfiction-955389.html
I don't believe his jaw was broken. Only kareem's hand.
+Marquis De Suave: Let's see… Larry bird felt that Benson had "snubbed" him. That is really justification for anyone punching Benson. Did Benson snub Jabbar, too?
+Marquis De Suave Kareem cost Benson a broken jaw.
+200mphz06 Benson probably cost IU at least one more National Championship by being a douche to Bird.
+Marquis De Suave The article only said that Benson snubbed Bird while he was a freshman at Indiana. Big deal, ya silly clown.
Long story short: Elbow strike 1st. Since (NOBODY SEEN IT LOL) then here come the punch... N btw fucc da referee...
dictatorofneptune: Your writing is so bad that I am not totally sure what you are trying to say. Nevertheless, you do seem to claim that waiting eleven seconds before retaliating is an immediate reaction, which is nonsense. Moreover, it was actuality Jabbar who started to bully the rookie. He could not take his own medicine, therefore he resorted to a cheap shot; walking up to Benson and blindsiding him with a punch. You have to be either demented or a liar to claim that was justified.
+Imad Bayev: This is not about whom I hate. It is about how the event happened. You and other apologists for Jabbar are legally factspeaking over this incident. You are abjectly dishonest in two ways:1. insisting that without video, anything any of us says is fiction. At least two other people have testified that they saw this incident on television news the day it happened. It showed a series of aggressive acts started by Jabbar. He tried to bully Benson physically, but was unable to do it. each time Benson proved to be the stronger man. Jabbar escalated each time, and Benson gave it right back. Right where the video takes over, they were running next to each other in transition. Jabbar sent several deliberate jabs to Benson's ribs. Benson returned the favor, except harder. Jabbar was obviously in pain. When they set up at the opposite end Jabbar elbowed Benson harder than ever before. It was clearly an aggressive act that justified self defense, not just another elbow. It was then that Benson doubled Jabbar over. Now that he had lost the face to face confrontation, Jabbar then waited for a chance for a sucker punch.2. pretending that you have a case for self defense for Jabbar. You and your friends -I cannot even tell you apart- write taunting swill that has no legal basis. You write what you wish were the case; Jabbar was the victim, and he corrected the wrong in a totally acceptable manner. That is acceptable to you, not to a court of law. Self defense does not occur after one has been hit, waits, is not under attack, and ambushes his victim. That is premeditated assault. If you really do not understand this, you are extremely dim, as your writing style already proves.Lastly, you bore me with your sophomoric attempts to ascribe negative motives to what I write. I am not a Kent Benson fan. I either hate him, nor adulate him. You also bring out the race card, as idiots of your level always do. What I have said is due purely to the analysis of the event. If racism were my motive, when a white person did the same thing to a black, my double standard would force me to switch, defending the aggressor. That was not the case when white Marty McSorely ambushed black Donald Bashear. I call that an assault on McSorely. Whatever happened between them before, he was not justified in walking up on Bashear and knocking his lights out. A court of law agreed with me. Reviewing the facts of the Jabbar/Benson case leaves no doubt they would agree on that, too, but that one was not prosecuted. Now just crawl back under your rock, amoeba brain.
+Imad Basayev What good does it do to hate? What benefit do you get from hate? You're an idiot but I don't hate you.You entertain me. I appreciate you, Imad.Kareem is a sucker punching coward AND in my opinion the best basketball player that ever lived. What do you think of that?
+Imad Basayev Where did I suggest I hate anyone or anything? I don't even hate you.
+200mphz06Why do you hate black people so much?
+Imad Basayev You make things up as you go along. Respect your own cred, man.Quit with the lies and trying to make a sucker punching negroid look like some hero."LOL, she was not 6, that's a myth..."So how old was she when she had sex with Muhammed? You're concerned that someone that stated he was 6 was wrong. Was she 9 yrs of age and do you think it's ok for an adult male to have sex with a 9 yr old girl?
jeet kune do...lol
+Imad Basayev What's "racist"? Pointing out violent behavior? Hahaha...
+200mphz06Is being a racist the reason why you have no friends.
+Imad Basayev Do you think being a loose cannon is the reason he can't find a job as a coach?
imadbasayev: You asked how it could have been a cheap shot, if he was elbowed first. Well, first of all, it was Jabbar who started the entire sequence. I saw it on television the day it happened. Secondly, even if he had not, a premeditated attack after the fact is not justified, either morally or legally. If Jabbar had punched immediately after being elbowed, it might tentatively have qualified as self defense, but by most reasonable judgment it would have been an unjustified overreaction. By waiting till at a later point when Benson was not ready, to punch him, Jabbar committed an outright assault. Marty McSorely was suspended and convicted of assault for a similar event against Donald Brashir. You are without doubt a Jabbar advocate, therefore I am sure that if the roles had been reversed, you would still take Jabbar's side. That and the above suggests that you your judgment is supported by no principles at all, only your own arbitrary personal preferences.
Are u stupid? Wym he assaulted bull he got elbowed and you think it wasn’t gonna hurt he was recovering df
+200mphz06The butthurt is strong your posts LOL. What do you care anyway if benson got shit-kicked by a BLACK guy?
+Imad Basayev You often use the term "homeboys", ghetto trailer boy.
+Marquis De Suave There is no sucker punch mentioned in Dave Cowens' testimony that you cited.
l'autre lui avait mit un cou de coude, juste avant...
Benson wasn't the reason Bird left IU. Kareem sucker punched Benson....douche.
+200mphz06 It hurt the case to generalize about blacks, just a it does the same when the opposite side makes racist comments. How about just analyzing what is relevant to the Benson-Jabbar incident? I am married to a black woman, and due to circumstances, most of my friends are black. They do not fit the profile you are ascribing to the entire race. The differential crime statistics have two causes:1. Residual discrimination dooms more blacks than whites to poverty, and poverty breeds crime.2. There is incontrovertible evidence that in the criminal justice system blacks are not treated equally. They are arrested at higher rates for similar complaints, charged with more serious offenses, convicted at higher rates, and given stiffer sentences.
+Peter NagyFunny the video only shows one elbow and it was the sucker shot by your boy benson. You don't turn your back on someone after hitting them, that's a basic rule of combat. White boy got whooped like a red-headed stepchild after trying to act tough and you can't handle it LOLOLOL.
+Imad Basayev Abject lie; both were elbowing each other. Even if we abandon the idea of trying to determine who started or escalated it. You are a lair.
Imad Basayev is a moron who thinks that being KOed is having one's "ass whooped." Further to demonstrate his homo habilis brain, he adds that anyone who does not see it that way is a "cry baby" who should "grow some balls." No, sissy, that is not what it is about. The general connotation of getting one's ass "whooped" is in a fight. Walking up on a person and blasting him in the face is not a fight; it is an ambush. You are too stupid to understand that. By your abysmal standards, Donald Brashear must have been a cry baby for complaining about what Marty McSorely did to him.Speaking of Marty McSorely, I note that not one of you peanut brains have responded to my repeatedly mentioning him. It must really bother you that a white hockey player viciously KOed a black one. Additionally, if you dealt with that case, it would blow to smithereens your asinine contention that anyone who condemns Jabbar's assault must be a racist. Not to worry; you already made clear your mindless racism with all your race baiting comments. Every time you write anything you indict both your integrity and your intelligence. You have none of either.
You are an idiot and an ass, +Imad Basayev. You cannot argue anything without fitting it into your unintelligent prefab narratives. To do this, you have to ignore facts. I have condemned a white athlete who did the same thing Jabbar did; Marty McSorely. If your tiny little brain could deal with that, the issue would only be whether or not anyone is justified in waiting till an altercation, athletic or otherwise, calms down, even temporarily, and lashing out with an unexpected punch, in fact, an unseen punch. I might as well be trying to tai to an amoeba.
This all happened in the first minute of the first game of the season, and Kent Benson was trying to show the league what kind of player he was going to be in the NBA. Well, he did, because there was no other player in the league who played dirtier or got his ass handed to him more than Kent Benson over the rest of his lackluster career.Benson was also the guy who was such a douche that he got Larry Bird to quit IU.
+Marquis De Suave claims Benson alone made Bird transfer. That is nonsense. Bird was not ready for big time. Knight, the coach ignoring him might have been a more important factor in Bird leaving I.U.
+Marquis De Suave You are right that treating Bird with hostility was a nasty, stupid thing to do. That, however is not the topic being debated here.
+Marquis De Suave Your comment about Benson being the dirtiest NBA player is typical of your lies. Cite a single instance of Benson punching someone.
+Marquis De Suave I wasn't threatening you. I'm was simply asking you if that would be a fair trade. If you're suggesting that's a threat then you're suggesting Kareem was the violent one here. I was going to allow you to elbow me in the gut after which I'd square up on your face. You don't find that fair? That's what happened in the vid you call fair.
+200mphz06 why do that when I can just beat your lame argument to the point that you threaten me.
One cheap shot deserves another
He was suspended and fined. He did the same thing twice to Tom Burleson. He hit Burleson in the temple from behind knocking him to the ground.
+SLIP NORRIS A sucker punch? And kareem started the elbowing.
That was Bruce Lee's one inch punch
Kareem had very right to hit him . That guy was a dirty ass player a bully . If he didn't throw that dirty elbow he wouldn't have gotten cracked .
A sucker punching pussy. He should have walked up to Benson like a man and challenged him. I've played plenty of ball and elbows are part of the game.
Kareem had a reputation as a sucker puncher. He was/is coward.
JiMemes Maybe, but Benson never elbowed anyone in their stomach ever again
Thats what you call a coward punch
This is why Kareem isn't respected. He's never included as one of the greatest ever.
I think his point was he isn't treated like the other greatest players because of his reputation with his temper and multiple incidents he's had of clocking NBA players.
samslick90 He was 88-2 in 3 years at UCLA...won rookie of the year...6 time league MVP....6 time NBA champion...2 time finals MVP...
+200mphz06The coward is Benson who threw the sucker shot. Should've faced Kareem and fought like a man if he had balls.
+samslick90 ...and a sucker punching coward.
+Imad Basayev Whatever you say, troll boy.Btw, pointing out negro violence is racist. :-)
i remember that kareem hit him first running down court thats y kb hit him i wish they would post the whole thing
+Imad Basayev One other person testified here that he saw the same thing I did. In a court of law, that is not enough to convict anyone, but a tape of the entire game would be. I do not have access to that. Your only reason for rejecting our testimony is that you want to stick to your conclusion, that Benson started it, and Jabbar was justified.Since you insist on being so recalcitrant, I will give you another reference you cannot deny; Marty McSorely's knockout of Donald Brashear in a hockey game. Brashear was a violent "goon" who always led the league in penalties. He had started a fight with McSorely earlier in the same game and also inflicted a serious injury on one of his team mates. Like Jabbar. McSorely sought to equalize things with a blind side knockout. He was charged and convicted of assault. A court of law often falls far short of a decent moral code, but still found McSorely's actions unjustified. Your justification of Jabbar's behavior shows that your morals are that of a street thug.
+Peter Nagy Proof or didn't happen.
Dont worry about that guy pete I got your back on this one guys like that on yourube just want to argue hopefully one day they 'll post the whole thing
That ref though. Busted out the ballet moves after Kareem hit the guy.
Lol... he sure did!!
Wish they would allow retaliations like this in sports.
Damn, somebody just got "knocked the fuck out"!!!!! LOL
Like the ref didnt see the elbow come on man!!!!
+Rick Mc He missed the elbows by Kareem prior to this.
Not hand stomach
Mama, there goes that man!
On the real. Ya'll realize Bruce Lee taught Kareem Abdul Jabbar some Jeet Kune Do. I wouldn't fuck with him.
+TheNewBCW Bruce Lee never fought a professional fight his entire life. He was a movie prop. Would get his ass handed to him in any true martial arts contest.
+200mphz06LOL, he had his chance and wound up in the hospital.
Still waiting for your evidence....................
+Imad Basayev Jabbar started the confrontation. They were roughly jockeying for position. He tried to move Benson out of the lane, but couldn't. The refs called nothing. Jabbar took it into his own hands, pulling next to Benson as they ran to the other end of the court. He elbowed Benson three times in the side. Benson elbowed him back harder. Nothing happened on the other end, but when they returned to the side of the court where Jabbar threw the punch, Jabbar elbowed Benson again. That is when Bensonn doubled Jabbar over. Jabbar then sucker punched Benson. I conveniently ignored nothing. You thought the part of the action showed on the video is all there is to it. You now have three choices:1. Admit that you did not know the whole story.2. Call me a liar and insist that I made up all I said.3. Admit that what I said might be true, but with street thug values you still justify what Jabbar did.
Jabbar was the originator of the "Knockout Game."
+Rick Mc Kareem threw the first elbow at Benson, you feral primate. I bet you still wear those shorts in the slammer.
+Rick Mc You write as if you believe the entire incident began and ended with what is shown in this clip. That shows you are a pliant tool, easily manipulated by the media. I saw the entire sequence on television when it happened, but since I do not have the video, you and other Jabbar worshippers call me a liar. You are like most moronic Americans who think that the problems with Iran began with the Ayatollah Khomeini's anti-West dictatorship, because that is all the media told you. Since major political events are more important than violence during a basketball game, that one can be looked up. In fact, the US began interfering toxically with Iranian politics beginning in 1953 with the CIA overthrow of democratically elected Prime Minister Mohammed Mozadegh. It installed and supported for decades thereafter the hated Shah Mohammed Rezah Pahlavi. I can just hear you telling someone, "Show Mozadegh's assassination on video or it did not happen."
+Rick Mc that was Benson's first nba game obviously you don't know what you're talking about
+Rick Mc what the hell are you talking about?
+Rick Mc ended his career? Benson only played 11 more years after that.
Pow!! Right in the kisser!
"Ahh, I'm cool, I'm cool..... I'm NOT cool!" POW
He (Jabbar) could've gotten even by doing the same thing back to Benson,Not sucker-punching him like he did.
+Nickcat5 Kareem began the elbowing in this game. This vid obviously doesn't show it.
Sounds like you need a brown sugar injection.
This should be retitled "Kent Benson breaks hand"
Oh fuck off...so Kareem was just suppose to let Benson gut check him and not retaliate? He deserved every bit of that punch and more for being a shit starter!
You gay ass defenseless white boys shouldn't be such closet homos and cheap shot artists then black guys wouldn't have to beat your asses all the time LOL.
Welcome to the NBA, Mr. Benson.
He left Dennis Awtry alone, that's for sure
Jerk, jerk, jerk...never respected Kareem after that. Ruined Benson's career.
Absolutely it was. Maurice Lucas, Lonnie Shelton...it brought the NBA down so far that the Finals were even being shown on late night tape delay. Then Magic & Bird came along....
Doesn't say much for Jabbar if he wouldn't do it to a 'fellow brother'. In his book he accused Dennis Awtry of sucker punching him yet when he did it he said,'I kicked the shit out of Kent Benson'. If I had hit everyone who thru an elbow at me all the years I played ball my hand would've been broke permanently Yea,I got into a few scraps playing ball but at least I walked up to the guy like a man & faced him.( no matter what color he was.)
Believe it or not, that's what the NBA was like back then.
The fact that you advocate, even jokingly, that he should punch another player in the face and 18 other idiot Laker fans thumb you up, just proves how many depraved assholes call themselves Laker fans.
I would never do that even though he punched me! He is a big player he shouldn't do that!
Why would u elbow a guy in the stomach then turn ur nack to him
I feel zero sympathy for Benson. It's well known that his cruel treatment of Larry Bird after his arrival at IU as a freshman was a major factor in Bird's decision to leave after 24 days. Bird said he would always try that little bit harder any time he played against a team Benson was in. And it was a cheap shot anyway. he got what he deserved. First rule - don't start something you can't finish.
White boy, don't fuck with Kareem. Black Muslims can scrap!
I wish someone had the tape of Kareem getting punched by Chicago's Dennis Awtrey in 1974.
Benson might have suffered a broken nose along with the mild concussion he got. The NBA never fined or suspended him for his part in this incident.
Bruce Lee taught him how to whoop ass!!
yes-Boston won in '81 '84, and '86 Lakers '80 '82 '85 '87 '88
he must have 84 finals
Lakers did win '85 title.
How the fuck would Benson stand a chance when even Bruce Lee had a hard time, in the beginning, dealing with Kareem?
Idk y didnt they?
Hahaha good one, DECKS that fool.
Man, for those of us to young to have seen Kareem play, you forget how damn BIG he is. Must be like getting punched by Godzilla.
shit man , u so old
Harry Houdini is the most famous to die from a punch to the stomach.
HAHAHAHHAHAHA that's the point, you can't.
my sentiments exactly. Just because you got your ass kicked doesnt make you the "victim"
If you want to know, put in the effort to get the number. It will likely be slightly higher than your IQ.
If there's so many then please list some.
Nice pose ref at the end
For all you idiots that say an elbow to the gut can't kill, try talking to the ppl who have already died from a good punch placement. Lol, second the bully got his due, I bet he won't elbow another player like that
You're joking. Google it. Many.
