    Fantastic film
    I remember being 15 years old. I lived in England at tje time and were told everything was ok.
    Then 19 years ago I moved to Scotland.... where Ioved to was what. They called "the Chernonyl hot spot" . Cancer was triple their than any other part of the UK.
    I love where I live the casualties seem to be slowing.
    People need reminding how far the cancerous finger actually came. Bless all those people who stood up and tried to tell truths amongst the lies... and lost lived ones, and the dead, may they rest with the ancestors.

    I've seen this whole series and seriously it's the most beautiful series I've ever seen.I was really impressed with all these people's efforts to save their country.I was also impressed by the sacrifices made by people who were not from that country but they also sacrificed their lives to save this country.

    I wish this nuclear disaster happens in America today. It will be fun to watch millions of americans burning to death, after seeing how their capitalism has created a never ending battle of rich and poor in the entire world.

    I was 10 yrs old when this disaster happened. About 7 years ago I wanted to learn about this so I studied and found this consumed my life. The horrors people witnessed, the physical pain, the cover-up. The lies and misinformation people were told to keep panic under control. Evacuations were delayed to play the seriousness down. This disaster is now etched in my mind forever. A lake once thriving and now cannot be swam in for a min 10,000 years! Every first responder, plant worker, tv crew, and volunteer died. My heart bleeds for all of them. The ashes spread to other countries too. Birth defects on children not even born in the Ukraine. All horrible. I pray we never have to experience this again.

      @Hannah Dyson it's a double edged sword
      It can be used for the benefit of humanity, bring electricity to everyone for a fraction of the pollution oil produces
      We can use it as a toy, treat it with disrespect and apathy, use it to wipe out whole cities, whole worlds!

    The true horror of this series is knowing all of this could have been avoided. The RBMK design flaw was redacted from the archives by the KGB which could have been used to fix the flaw, but the USSR didn't want the "embarrassment" of making a mistake so they covered it up with lies. Dyatlov is the face of pure evil, he saw the graphite but chose denial. So many lives could have been saved, but he was greedy and wanted the test to succeed for the chance at a promotion. I just find it all astounding how so many lives and families were effected just by the lies of 3 key individuals. Honestly even though they didn't kill nearly as many people, it puts them right there with the evil of Hitler and Stalin.

  • Svarog EUROPE Identity

    Nobody talks about the fact that Japan lets radioactive cooling water flow into the sea, but series are still being made about Chernobyl??
