Big Dunc is exactly what the players need right now. A towering, hard-as-nails Scotsman who won't accept anything less than 100%. Hope the players give a response at the weekend.

I agree. The change will be immediate and hugely positive. I just hope Moshiri takes note and realises we need a grass-roots Everton man who loves the club in charge, not a high profile Hollywood manager in it for the paypacket.

Anyone who thinks Dunc is an archaic manager just watch that session. All tight passing and movement in close spaces. The players love him, you can hear them singing and happy, Yerry is carrying Gordon. Plus it looked like the hardest session they’ve had in years. What is wrong with passion? What’s wrong with pride, with standards, with fight? Dunc brings it all and more, the board need to get behind this diamond right in front of their eyes before he leaves us

Watching that training session alone should make Dunc be considered for the job, the intensity was full on and the players looked like they enjoyed it, they looked happy. They will probably be dead on there feet after a week of that, but that’s exactly what they need they have been allowed to be slackers for to long. They get through it and get use to it, we will be all the better for it. Dunc standing there looked a proud man.

Duncan has his coaching badges, has worked with, watched and must have learnt so much from previous Everton Managers. He has been involved in the training methods, will have heard the tactics and team talks before and during half time on match days. If he has taken all this aboard and can motivate the players, then I cant see how much if any better other candidates for the Managers job can be.

What I liked was the way the session was structured, a bit of hard work, bit of fun in a game or something then the same again. It was split up perfectly, lots of laughs but also saw hard work and commitment, even by players who've been criticised putting the effort in. Also nice to see everyone get rewarded for good work and a try harder but good effort for those that don't quite get it right.
