I actually get that sometimes people who want to be politically correct are a bit too careful and I get that sometimes one can go overboard with. But those are fex examples that don't make the concept of pc itself irrelevant.
It's basically about trying to be decent and not hurt anybody. It's a very noble thought.
You can still say what you want, but in a respectful way. No forbidden thoughts whatsoever...

Political correctness is necessary in politics period. When people in the limelight disregard politeness then it sets a bad example for the whole nation. How can the next generation be sensible when they see politicians not acting like adults.

*I asked that of a Trump fan recently in front of several people. He said that we can't use certain words because people will just get offended.*
_So I asked what words he would like to use. Blank look, no answer, lol._

If these people "can't" speak as they like because of "political correctness," why can Donald? Sounds like a weakness on their part, rather than a fault of the culture.

He's gonna build a wall (that U.S. taxpayers will pay for)
He's gonna fix the economy (by giving tax breaks to companies so they don't leave)
Get rid of the corruption (by hiring 6 goldman-sachs bankers for his administration)

Lol I love how much the right has demonized education and intelligence. Cuz god forbid you "liberal elites" have a decent vocabulary or present a better argument than them. Just a little tip for ya repugs - you don't have to be wealthy or elite to be smart.
And yes, liberal elites do exist, but so do conservative elites. And honestly, though smugness is never a good quality, I do think that someone who actually knows what they're talking about has more of a right to be smug than someone who chooses to remain ignorant.

Not a Trump fan but... humiliating those we disagree with because they don't know how to pronounce a word or don't have a complete understanding of history is snobbish. Which is kinda like bigotry but against the rural citizens who grow our food and raise our meat.

People who complain about political correctness tend be the same people who cry about how they're not allowed to be hate-mongering pricks. If you think being PC has the potential to get out of hand, it stands to reason the opposite also holds true. The latter is something the anti-PC crowd usually doesn't acknowledge because to them it should be the norm.

When a Trump supporter says that he likes Trump because he speaks his mind, what he's really saying is that he speaks what's on THEIR mind. This campaign has taught us alot about people and what they felt forced to hide due to PC.So now all the hatred is coming to the surface.I am sadder than i can say to have witnessed this.

The interviewers' snobbish irony towards Trump's supporters and absolute cluelessness about their own flaws makes this video hilarious on so many levels that it looks like a classic French self-humiliating postmodernistic novel. You know, a good one.
