"It's like they invented bullet time but for dodging criticism."

I find it hilarious that the entire movie is Lana Wachowski saying "I didn't want to make this, WB made me do it, now we all have to suffer"

This movie was so self aware that I couldn't tell whether it was insulting the audience or the movie studio. Case in point, the action scene with Bugs sliding down a building sign with the words "EAT SH*T" on it and a

"The adult children you had time to raise since the last one." That resonated with me.

Love how in the past decade or so studios realise that people are tired of clichés and nostalgia-baiting, so they make the characters complain about clichés and nostalgia-baiting while also playing into clichés and nostalgia-baiting

It looks like Hugo Weaving and Lawrence Fishburne are the only ones still able to dodge bullets

The funny thing about this movie was it had the self-awareness to know it could offer something genuinely smart-if still obviously derivative. The first half was all about acknowledging that connection, and I think the way it did so was unconventional and even a little subversive. That made it kind of exciting. The problem is you can’t just break the fourth wall about making a soulless cash-grab sequel and then actually go and do it. Robbing a bank and telling everyone about how you’re robbing the bank and how it’s “so bad” but you just “have to do it” does

The way they shot the action scenes was unforgivable. When will this terror of jump cut and shaky Cam end?

Some of the machines defecting to humanity’s side was cool. Kinda reminded me of the Autobots from Transformers a little bit. Wished that was explored a little more.

I watched the movie, literal nostalgia bating till the plot actually commenced at the beginning of the movie; even then the plot was so non-existent I could've been watching a gameplay for a dude who never does any main quests but just attacks all the enemies he can find.
