Wonder if Jerry talks with his "commercial" voice at all times... "These apples will come in handy when we're making apple pie later"
Lol
@Don H wait his name isnt Jerry? π€£
I just read that entire comment in jerries voice in my head
ππππ
@STURG Just like you..
We sometimes turn our Nissan Leaf into a mobile drive-in theatre. It's fun to just drive somewhere with friends, find a white object (van, lorry, wall,...), fire up the projector and watch a movie together. We use a normal projector, pure sine wave converter, raspberry pi and a fm transmitter to make it work with multiple cars. It's great fun!
Do you not have a living room? Or do you have such a pergola of friends that they won't all fit in your living room?
If you own a electric car with an outlet, you could just use a normal Projector for a movie night in the nature.
A video would be awesome! This sounds really cool.
@AClockHead103 Seconded π
@M Fab That's my source of media. A laptop works too but it just takes up more space.
This gives me an idea: Put a wall outlett in the humvee that uses its main batteries. So like the Anker but a lot bigger and mobile.
@Swedishchef11 yeah, they just copied ford and tesla, elon got all these billions into big ev money now.. i love it ha.
So like the new f150 does... lol
Or like a Kia EV6 or Hyundai Ioniq 5.
Called V2L (Vehicle to load)
@Golden_JayPC cool! Canβt wait to see this thing run! motor & batteries seem crazy powerful
@Steve K. it wouldnβt be too difficult its just of matter of getting one that can handle the volts which isnβt hard. After that its just bolting in lugs from positive to negative.
Here I imagine a midnight traffic Jam, with Zack booting up the Projector while saying. "Let's get started!" Giving everyone who's stuck in traffic something to do.
Edit: Wow, a lot of you seem to enjoy a joke I thought was rather lame, but, yeah, Thanks :3.
I just thought when he was putting projector on his humvee.
ππππππ
Lmao yes
π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£
Imagine the price of this projector if everybody can get 700$ off from itπ
A lot of comments here arguing. Imagine comparing watching in front of your tv and inside a movie theater and so far as comparing it to vr lenses. Wtf. . How stupid can you get? Totally different experience, purpose, and user base.
Also.. the same prices can be said about the price of cheeba.. same prices now, 3500 is now 500 for medical herbs heh.
@MarcoTw2 The home projector market is not 3500 to 5000... ive followed it for 15 years, its now at 500.
@herman stokbrood not sure if you're just trolling. But a lot of people with projector screens sit more like 9 feet from a 120" screen. Which is more like being 4 ft. from 60". I think what a projector gives you is the ability to lean back while at that closeness.
Have a good day!
@herman stokbrood You've clearly never experienced anything other than a TV lmao. If how our eyes work or how VR headsets work is making no sense to you you should really be doing research.
Love your content Zac! Youβve saved millions from purchasing faulty technology! Thanks for all you do!!
Zack: My Hummer is lonely at night perhaps I should play a movie for it to watch.
Still Zack: *Sets up projector screen behind the Hummer* π€£
Now you need some sweet surround sound speakers inside the HMMWV, and your go anywhere movie theater minus the popcorn would be complete.
I got an email about this projector last week and notice you had given them feed back on it. Did wonder if you would do a video about it. Sadly its way to far out my price range, would be a nice bit of kit to have.
A few years back would think this guy is crazy to open and destroy some expensive tech , this days I understand why he does it and how important it is he exposes the flaws in the inside of tech , thank you Zack , I'm glad to wear the same hairstyle then u do π
imagine having a headlight that can flip around and reveal a projector
@Bhatti Gaming What is most crazy is he could totally make a servo and battery to make that... just get the projectolaser unit to rotate and replace the LED on a few bluetooth servos for model jets... lol... (but to invent that would take many weeks of effort... i hope someone does it ha)
Smart idea, i bet its invented (maybe even spawned from your comment) in about 8-10 years.... no jokes
Might be the best thing to the hummer
Excellent review that power station is nice for a cabin maybe two of those and and a few solar panels and should be good to go with this laser projector. Can't wait for the coolest project on youtube to be completed once you start driving the EV hummer it will break youtube that is the coolest project by far...
Hexagon, not octagon, is the bestagon. Step up your game, Nebula.

great content as always
Man-cave in the garage. Looking forward to seeing the finished hummer! awesome job getting it working. I used to test electric motors and inverters so a lot of this is familiar to me.
I love you Jerry rips everything. Hahaha. But seriously this unit looks absolutely beautiful. I bet you it's a pretty penny as well. Good projectors are not cheap

I expected a FULL teardown from you, I really can't understand how that is a REAL "Laser" projector. I do not believe it, I am not sold.
Use them as a hummer front lights , would be awesome the lights are able to project movies on road ππ
You know you're well known when they send linus AND jerryrig one of these bad bois!
Would love to see it mounted!
4k matrix laser headlights ;) im sure you can mash together a control system. not sure about the brightness though.. maybe its a bit low. pc etc + cam + software. maybe something up the alley of "Stuff Made Here"
I'm not interested in watching a lot of movies, or what a projector can do, I'm only interested in the internals of a projector. Guess this is the right review.
Hiya Zack & Camry, just a quick message π from the south of England (UK) You two are awesome, funny and very inspirational. Just a big thankyou for all your hard work and passion on TheXvid. Watched Cambrys talk at the big church (a few years ago) on TheXvid; her faith and perseverance shines like a golden light. Best wishes and many Blessings, Justie
Hey Zack, thatβs very kind and thoughtful of you. I have sent a message through your website enquiry form. Sending up prayers and rich Blessings, for you both via JC, Justie

4K laser means fixed 60Hz refresh rate. Iβd trust Jerry for the tear down, Unbox Therapy for the box smells, but display?
Way cool! Perfect for tent camping!
Canβt wait for the Lockpicking Lawyerβs reviewβ¦. Iβm kidding, Iβm kidding.
Very cool product, thanks for showing it to us, Zack. I canβt afford it, but I hope it does well.
Can be used to project a arrow on the ground for gps navigation.
Shining lasers on the road seems like an absolutely terrible and probably very illegal idea, but still would be an awesome concept. Also keep in mind that roads are usually black, I'd be interested to see how well you could see it projected onto a road even at night.
Kinda distracting when your driving though, also only works in the night. But it's a cool idea nonetheless.
I'm totally going to order this bad boy. I've been waiting for a projector that actually works as a projector! AND LASERS!

Zack. A question, do you have an 'on camera voice' and an everyday voice, or just an everyday voice?
Whatever the answer your voice is so relaxing. ππ
This is a cool projector βΊοΈ
If you watched 3 movies at an average of 2 hours per movie
That means 6h per day
That means you need more than 11 years to replace the bulb
Hear me out, Anker makes their own charging accessories or stations for electric cars.
I hope I can see your hummer move soon this is amazing. Have a good day.
When ever a see a product go out to multiple youtubers like this I automatically deduct a ton of respect. Linus did two back to back videos that just felt out of place. The projector and hp's "revolutionary" case lol Linus felt so unenthused about the projector to me, especially compared to the title he posted.
@Phuntsog Wangchuk He didn't pull it apart though. Zack in a Jerry rig everything video would have stripped it down and showed us all of the little Legos. Taking off a single vanity plate isn't taking it apart.
@18matts Linus was pretty critical about the hp case, did you even watch the video
@gavatar1998 the hp was sent over to austen and he made just as fake of a video. Honestly I don't mind "pay the bill videos" just clarify that these products wouldn't really interest you normally, but it's pay the bill time. These hp computer and projector videos remind me of that vacuum every tech tuber reviewed at once. Kinda annoying to have 5 videos about a dumb vacuum hit my feed all at once
Tbf linus and other TheXvidrs already have cooler home theater setup so a portability feature might not cut it unless, you know, you need it to be portable..
For outdoor tech TheXvidr, this might fit their use case
I think the HP case wasn't bad at all and cool to see. But only the case. As Linus said, if there's the possibility to buy the stand-alone case, it might be interesting.
I was hoping for another hummer build video but this is also awesome. Thank you for all your videos.
Man, Anker is really pimping this out to the influencers!
Me I watched Linus review this projector
also me but Zack took it to n whole new level & showed us what the inside looks like
I thought it's a hummer video lolπ€£π€£π€£I will watch anything you put up any waysπ€£
Thatβs a pretty sweet projector!
Built by someone like you there's no way that vehicle isn't going to be just full of personality and life.
I have a portable LED projector which kindof has same design as this one.
Just having it in my kids bedroom though, so he can project like 100" on a grey wall. WOrks quite well, then I have a chromecast connected and powered behind it.
While it has smart features, I am kindof hesitant to login to my google accounts on a chinese product I grey imported :P
I noticed a Brother P touch D600 Label printer. ππ...and it's PC connectable too... We use this lable printer in our company, and yea, I'll be pretty excited to see that apart. π€«π€
having a slanted roof on the humvee is sick you should make it where you can attach a slanted roof and detach it when you want to carry something heavy.

Hello man love your videos πΉ learn a lot from so far π
It bugged me so much that he placed the projector on top of that sharpie @ 1:45 but then I was so relieved when I saw he had fixed it.
I had to go back several times to figure out why you said that
Turns out it was a sharpie but still something I hate to do is putting a large thing on a small object then constantly wondering why it is not level to the ground
i would like to know about the heater on the ceiling, it appears to be electric. i can see it over your right shoulder . its round with a metal box under it
Comparing this to a gen 1 vava and I'm unsure how this can cost more than $999.
Damn!!! they really want to promote their Cosmos! I think it's the fourth video of this projector I see this week. It's the first were it is taken apart tho...

I really wanted to buy this piece of equipment. I hope I'm Able to afford itπ
Thanks. Good to know something like this actually exist.

Ahh man i cant wait to see how the car will be at the end.
"right out of the box this thing is much smaller than i expected..." At that point i told her to turn off the lights and it will appear bigger π²π
Pair this with the Rivian R1T bluetooth speaker, camp kitchen, and tent and you can have movies camping in the woods
You mention with the 545Wh power station it can be powered for 3-3.5 hours.
So the typical power consumption is around 155-182 Watts? (I can't find it listed anywhere, and want at least a ballpark of power usage)
2 brand integration in one video
ππ this is business
Saw the new ford lightning e-truck. Looks very practical. Might watch and see if any of the features interest you zach. A few 120 outlets will prove to be very handy!!!
120vac outlets have been common for several years now in vehicles. My 2011 had one and my current 2019 has several.
"this is not a hummer video"
*but this is not also a "scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7" video* :(
i miss those, new galaxy out soon tho.
I think that has to do with an NDA. It is kickstarter and those normally are pattent pending. If he were to show the components it would probably be easily reverse engineered as most kickstarters are off the shelf parts.
Seems great, and expensive device! I gather about 160 watts consumption an hour? 545 x 80% /3 hours + audio sound? Good enough to watch a movie at the beach! Originally my quick click, thought it said portable laser heater! Lol... 10Β° f throughout the night, bitter cold sleeping in a van! So cold my lifepos wasn't suppose to start my van, but set temps different in bms! Then I mistakingly chose the outside lifepo to charge by alternator :-( my lithiums probably bomb threats rn? Lol. These fridges temps! Smh! Running motor running heater blower, costs 1/2 gallon gas hourly! Average charge to lithium by alternator 500 watts per hour! Propane is far cheaper!

Zac must have fun at birthday parties. Ever gift gets opened up!
We're glad Jerry Rig "EVERYTHING" has started rigging something other than cellphones. Following this projector using Lasers, the next obvious item should be a keyboard that also uses LASERS. Who agrees on Jerry Truly Rigging Everything?
With obsession to your Electric Hummer uploads I completely forgot you also teardown electronics
Hey, Zack?.....Assuming I DON'T take mine apart right out of the box and video myself doing so AND posting it on social media; π What length of manufacturer's WARRANY can I expect ? π€£ Just kidding! Love your channel!
good on you for negotiating with nebula to let you take it apart. i bet that's not something that they wanted you to do.
Just bought the projector. Hope you get a good cut off it :)
I do a big Halloween display, how do you think one of these would work with holographic imaging? Atmos FX

That would be so awesome if my whole freaking life was sponsored just cuz I pointed a camera at a phone while i broke it one time
You go do that and see how easy it is XD, people get lucky, sure, but the work that goes on behind the scenes no one thinks about
5:03 Poor Zach never did pay attention when learning shapes
The only TheXvid channel that I am waiting for new Video all the time.
You videos are the best Zack.
"and now we're going to go for the bend test."
"Snaps like a little Lego!"
Is that projector DLP or LCD based? Thanks!
5:05 They aren't hexagons. Hexagons have 6 sides, they have 8 sides, so they are octagons
0:14 the editing is on point πππ

Im going to be sad when the HUMVEE is done and we wont have new content with it
Not gonna lie u had me in the first half. I was excited anyways m buying any video featuring hummer even by a bit.
I like how nebula is sending $2200 projectors to TheXvidrs to push their kickstarter
I watch ALL of your videos, but I refuse to watch anything not electric Hummer related in the meantime. I'm sure this one is great though π
Aw, it wasnt a full durability review, was waiting to see if the lens would survive the scratch test. Or if the speakers would break at max volume playing certain music
No "deeper grooves" test to the glass covering the lens?π
Your garage can handle anything dude!!! ππππ
With a front-mounted camera and an AI image processor tuned to recognize windshields, you could use the front-mounted projector as an always-on high beam headlight that intelligently masks itself to avoid blinding other drivers.
Ok so your premise is, that 2 really big boxes are more portable than one?
"fast and furious 27"
I'm deadππ
Zack: is given a nice projector to have a look at
Also Zack: is taking it apart to the last screw
@Shocker99 no! do you want me to?
But he didn't. Did you watch the video?
It doesn't ship to my country so I'll have to stick to my LED one that I never use :D
Cool thing though if it's really quiet
