Oscar Isaac'is the perfect chioce. Marvel is almost always great at casting, this one hits it out of the park again. Cant wait to see this show. Really hope Blade makes a cameo.
Hi
sarah halley finn's casting skills >>>
Books from “Mummy”...
There has to be a big commitment to series’s...
doubtful
You can tell which personality has taken over based on his hair. It’s subtle, but Steven is a bit messier and flat while Marc is more groomed upward. Oscar Isaac is such a good choice for this role as he does a great job changing the character from scene to scene with his personality and body language. Can’t wait!
Oscar said in an interview that he uses different accents for each personality, too.
While I'm not familiar with Moon Knight, I gotta say that his character background and overall looks are really freaking cool.
However, the most exciting thing about this series for me is that it might be the stepping-stone to Marvel producing more "mature" content outside of their original formula. If it truly is as fans would imagine the series to be, it will be an extremely exciting future for Marvel.
Did not realize the long history of this character... this would have made the actor who passed unbelievably famous! So many tie ins to everyone!
assuming they want to introduce characters such as punisher and ghost rider this is certainly a good start
This is a preference, but i love when a story has that “can’t tell dream from reality” aspect. The creative freedom for that principal is always awesome cuz dreams can literally be anything
Unreliable narration
@liav hanegbi sorry, I don't watch indi
@octavio lagos don’t know if you heard of it, but there is this very unknown, underground film called “inception”
like in Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker where it was hard to tell at some points what was real and what was delusion
Do you happen to know any other piece of media that does this?
The fact that Oscar now has played a Marvel character in each universe is amazing
Moon Knight - MCU
Spiderman 2099 - Sonyverse
Apocalypse - X-Men Fox Verse
@J R he will also be Solid Snake soon
he is getting good roles these days, even in DUNE he felt natural and organic
Omg so true!!!
@amitava mozumder in the spider-verse movie end credits. He also coming back for the second movie.
spiderman 2099? when did that came out?
Looks to be an extremely unique experience for us marvel fans, and Oscar is looking perfect for this role!
@Darkness do you mean Steven Grant? I think they're still doing the billionare playboy thing but they're still doing origin stories, but thats just what I think.
Couldn’t agree more. He’s like RDJ or J.K. Simmons where they are that character
@Teddy K no cap
Well said
I really hope they do DID well and not just as a gimmick. I hope they did strong research considering how intricate a disorder this is. The Split movie made me very wary of DID in psychological horror settings. Does anyone else have thoughts about this?
@Eternal Flame which lines up with how DID usually forms, through severe repeated trauma before the age of seven. I imagine that in superhero universes, the strange circumstances of that universe bypass the original criteria of having to be a child when the disorder first develops.
@Seamless And it was also said in the later run in the comics that his DID didn't develop because of creating and acting out his persona's, it was actually due to Khonshu inhabiting his mind and it took a toll, and created DID as a coping mechanism or something.
agreeing with what saranell said, it has always been handled well, although in his original run it wasnt DID, he just acted as if he were multiple people consciously to gather info on baddies
So what....
According to my dad who loves the comics says the writers are very carful with how they present his DID I brought up the point to my dad, but from what I can tell its just who he is and not a gimmick. they also present it as a disorder not a superpower, so thats good its not the DID that gives him powers but something else entirely.
I have a feeling that there is a werewolf going around, and because he blanks out and can't remember things, I predict that he will at first think HE is the werewolf.
I mean there’s a werewolf by night movie confirmed so maybe that’s him
That would be great
I think it'd be really cool if every episode focused on a different personality, leading up to the monster one, and the episodes would be named after the phase of the moon
That is an awesome idea. You should try to share that with Marvel.
I highly doubt we will get three trailers but I would love it if they did one for Marc and Jake. The Darkhold is most likely going to have ties to three MCU projects this year: Moon Knight, Multiverse of Madness, and Werewolf by Night.
I'm liking the supernatural horror element this show is bringing it'll be easy for them to introduce characters like Blade and Ghost Rider in the near future
I want Kevin Costner for Carter Slade.
@ipraytovodka i said definitely multiple times but the from it seems like from your context youre talking about Punisher, ITS DEFINITELY NOT BECAUSE HE IS MAJORITY IN NY AND DEALS WITH MOBSTERS/GANGSTERS CRIMINALS.
@bLoWc16 oh and as someone mentioned Daredevil was in Spiderman which even further increases the chances of Punisher....
@bLoWc16 definitely? they got the same actor that played Wilson Fisk in the Hawkeye series so you probably shouldnt be so sure any more...what was once buried behind copyright issues is becoming more and more likely....
@AchievementBird, Daredevil appeared in No Way Home, which means that the Netflix Marvel shows are canon.
The lack of khonshu in the first couple minutes of theorizing is shocking. The fourth personality has always been khonshu. Even in the comics its mentioned that khonshu himself would take over marc from time to time. Maybe him being chained up is when marc catches on and is trying to figure it out
@Charles Duncan true, in the comics Khonshu seems to be manipulating Marc because of his weak mental state.
This is it chief, Marc and khonshu don't have a very good relationship.
I wonder if they'll go that route, would be cool tho. They may just restrict it to three and have Khonshu only manifest to talk to Mark and maybe Arthur
Everything about this trailer is so intriguing and I’m very interested to learn more about this character. I don’t know much except what I’ve learned from NR videos and with Oscar as the lead I know this will kick butt.
Another thing I noticed in the trailer that admittedly may end up just being a coincidence is that it kind of looks like at least two of the personalities wear a certain colour when on screen. One white, one black. I'm inclined to say the third personality is maybe grey/dark blue. Kind of fits a little with phases of the moon.
Really like how the next Phase seems to be going down the Horror fantasy route, Oscar is a truly top tier actor and it looks like he's got the perfect role to work with, very hyped for this!
Minor detail but I loved the use of Kid Cudi's Day 'N Night, really fit the offbeat mood
Plus the symbolism that song has related to mental health just really hits differently!
MAJOR detail……and I agree
@TheZooropaBaby woww thank you for this fun fact
Also the cover of first Cudi album, where Day N Night was from, was drawn by Bill Sienkiewicz who drew Moon Knight for a while in 70s
@Garcia209 ok buddy
I've been anticipating this series. Also using Day N Nite by Kid Cudi is absolute genius. I hope they use more Cudi in this series
I wonder if they’re going to have it like when Marc takes on the mantle of moon knight, he takes on the other personalities of those who took the mantle before him. That would be pretty dope.
16:45 He isnt being chased. He is getting joy from whatever he just did and the moon is the representation of where he is getting the joy from.
I really hope that characters like Daredevil, Moon Knight, Blade, etc have this grittier, more mature theme to it rather than the kid-friendly MCU. Just so they are actually good to watch and Marvel caters to older audiences as well.
Yea keep dreaming hahaha
Prediction: Stephen created the Stephen identity to buried the identity of Mark in an attempt to escape the Moon Knight identity. Now he struggles to keep Mark at bay to stop Moon Knight emerging and attaching to Stephen's identity.
Mark is who he is.
Mark is Moon Knight.
Stephen is who he wants to be.
Stephen becomes Mark once again and this allows Moon Knight to emerge.
This is gonna be EPIC. I believe it’s gonna be a 6 episode series which means season finale will be on May 4th, which is the release date for Multiverse of Madness here in Mexico. Coincidence? I THINK NOT.
Did anyone miss when everyone was kneeling for the cult leader there was one person still standing? He’s wearing the same jacket/hoodie Moonknight does, and with the hoodie up it resembles the grey/white Moonknight usually wears! A good visual representation that they didn’t point out.
I reckon the (possibly) werewolf he’s beating up is a transformed guard or ethan hawks character, where the cult get turned to werewolves as a sacrifice for their painlessness…
This would easily fit into the nazi, shenanigans as well because Germanic folklore is very connected to werewolves
More likely a reference to Moon Knight's first comic appearance - in Werewolf By Night.
So hyped for this show! Oscar Isaac's gonna kill it on this role!
Poor choice of words
@Austin Lightner lol what happened
I don't know what to say
@Austin Lightner LMAOOO
I am too Oscar isaac is going to kill it in this role
I love how Marvel is pulling out all the stops on lesser known heroes while DC can't even get Batman right.
All they need to do is remake Batman the Animated Series in live action and they'd have it perfectly.
bruh dont even get me started...
I don’t know if you missed this or didn’t want to bring it up but at the time stamp 1:20 of the official trailer, when Steven is looking back towards the mirror that he immediately stomps on, you’ll notice that a reflection of one of his inner identities is looking down on him.... 👀
I think Ethan Hawke’s Arthur Harrow will be somehow mixed with the Moonknight villain Sun King. They’ve been combining characters very frequently lately. Would explain why he’s telling him to “embrace the chaos,” as Sun King is the vessel for Ra much like Moonknight is for Konshu. Could also explain why he has such a cult following, as people would flock to someone with power like that when promised what they want. Could he be a crazed mutant 👀 ?
@Ryan it may be a bit too much of a fight club copy in that scenario, but would be a really cool story
@Gf100 I’d be mindfucked lol that’d be crazzzyyyy
I think he’ll be another identity of Marc’s. And he will be a villain similar to Tyler Durden in fight club
I'm so excited for all of these upcoming shows/movies!
Marvel literally almost every time, perfectly casts their roles, its honestly really impressive. I guess when you can have literally anyone you want at this point it makes it easier but still.
@Lucipherous de Illuminati yes true
@SAILOR DUCK people on the internet like to get mad gotta be chill
LOL
@sek the Valkyries in the comics are not just one person but an organization, the MCU simply made their own Valkyrie who was a member of that organization
@Lucipherous de Illuminati What do you mean by that? Not trying to be rude just curious
Honestly I love marvel and get excited for every project but I’m gassed up for this like 10000 x more than any other previous marvel films or series it actually looks sooooo good
With Eros in the picture, any chance we could be heading towards meeting the author of all the books of dead, Death herself? Resurrection of Thanos?
I highly doubt we will get three trailers but I would love it if they did one for Marc and Jake. The Darkhold is most likely going to have ties to three MCU projects this year: Moon Knight, Multiverse of Madness, and Werewolf by Night.
This is a preference, but i love when a story has that “can’t tell dream from reality” aspect. The creative freedom for that principal is always awesome cuz dreams can literally be anything

So true, was just a tweet. Everyone’s junked out from boredom like Rockstar. Go out, get laid, it’s not that serious as you can live your life.
@ochayethenoo no
@Ian Nugrahane 🤣 definitely not confirmed, was just a Tweet being shared 🤣 you people don’t understand what confirmed means bs just rumors and reports.. y’all do use to disinformation being reality.
@Hxzzxrd _ you have no clue what the first season is about 🤦♂️
No 🤦♂️ this will have nothing to do with the Dark Hold.
In the trailer, Steven says he can't tell the difference between life and dreams. So if he places many objects in the room, if any have changed he's dreaming but if they're all the same he's awake
I’ve honestly been waiting years for marvel to do this and now that it’s coming I seriously hope they don’t disappoint!
I wasn't the biggest moon knight fan but DAMN I'm excited. This mental exhaust is really what I wanted to see from Bruce Banner/Hulk and I'm glad we've got more of that character struggle coming to screen
I’ve been waiting since the late 80’s for something with Moon Knight. He’s definitely not the Marvel version of Batman, and I’m fully hyped for this series!
Amazingly thorough coverage! Well done! CAN'T WAIT for Moon Knight March 30th, my favorite hero!
Wow Eric Voss. Amazing work on that breakdown. I can't believe how much detail you got from that. And using closed captioning to get people's names. Well done. Bravo
I really hope that they dont drag DID into the shit like the movie Split did. But I feel like this representation of DID is hightly different from real DID because Khonshu is a completely sepereate Beeing while in real DID all of the alters are together "one soul" just with seperated parts... so hopfully the express the differences or at least dont openly treat it as real DID so that it doesnt connect to much to real DID.
Still very hyped.
In the comics Marc Spector has actual diagnosed DID caused by severe childhood trauma from violent anti-semitism, all outside of Khonshu choosing him. I hope they acknowledge that.
Hi! This was really cool! You can take this with a grain of salt as I do not have DID, but for those who have DID, you should refer to them as a "system" with multiple "alters" rather than personalities. I know you didn't mean any offence by this, but calling alters "personalities" can be offensive and is misleading about the reality of DID. The alters are not different personalities or emotions but rather entirely different people, and should be referred to as such!!
I'm wondering if they are going to go Momento style on this to have us experience what the stellar cast is putting down. Imagine a bunch of story lines through OI, with a nice bow tie at the end of the series.
I love that shot where it shows 2 different versions of himself representing his multiple identities
It seems like we have several threats approaching. Marvel has earthbound threats galactic threats and multiverse threats. I like how we have more magic and monsters approaching
10:44 he isn't wounded, he's just holding the strap of his bag (which you can also see in the reflection)
6:35 Random correction- Though the darkhold is not a book of the dead, though it is referred to as a book of the damned, this is because it is "The Book Of Sin" not to be confused with a book of the dead; also chthon is an Elder God as well as a demon.
Oscar Isaac'is the perfect chioce. Marvel is almost always great at casting, this one hits it out of the park again. Cant wait to see this show. Really hope Blade makes a cameo.
"There is chaos in you." Isn't Chaos Magic the type of magic that the Scarlet Witch uses? Is Ethan Hawke aware of and sensitive to Chaos Magic inside Oscar Isaac's character(s)?
Interestingly, the Kid Cudi song Day 'n' Nite comes from an album called Man on the Moon: The End of Day. I also noticed that the trailer came out on the same day as a Wolf Moon. The first full moon of the year. I could be reaching here though...
The tape on the door isn’t meant to stop him from getting out, it’s meant to help him know IF he got out. It’s more of a visual sign than an actual method of restraint.
Beat me to it.
Like a Coke bottle on the doorknob?
Tape on one side of a door is usually meant to tell if someone opened it from the OTHER side, who wont notice it until the seal is broken. Just like locking a door from the inside doesnt keep someone from getting out lol.
Most of these “Easter eggs” are nothing, the first one was literally relating random colors on a Rubik’s cube to his suit.
Yeah and he isn’t holding his arm at 10:45, he’s grabbing on to the strap of the bag he’s carrying. You can clearly see it in the reflection.
Love this channel but sometimes he takes huge leaps when it’s actually quite simple.
Even though i dont really like horror films/tv shows I really like that marvel seems to be going in a horror direction with moon knight
A moonknight, blade and daredevil team up would be the peak of the mcu
The creature from the teaser is more likely an Anubis warrior type monster similar to the one he’s beating up at the end of the trailer and not Kanshu
As a huge Cudi fan I really love how you rightfully interpreted the meaning of the song
Only thing I am nervous about is a lack of a villain, seems like the Disney + shows tend to struggle with this.
If you freeze-frame on the Moon Night transformation scene it is clear by the reflection of shadows in his left eye that the villain will be Moff Gideon.
Whatchu talking about? What about Agatha Harkness?
Moon knight is known for killing off his villains.
Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) is the villain, but his name is probably an alias. A lot of signs pointing toward this villain being Sun King, a pyrokinetic cult leader who serves the sun God Amon Ra. Ra and Khonshu are mortal enemies --- Sun and Moon, Day N Night.
Ethan Hawke is the villian he’s playing a cult leader that can get in peoples heads
Im gonna put a prediction out there: Stevie tries to revive someone he loved, he then finds out the egyptian books have a ritual he can do to revive someone, but got tricked by the moon god, or something similar, he wants something they have in ancient egypt, and he meets khonshu i believe is the moon elder god
I love ancient Egypt and mysteries so this hopefully will be fun! I love that Superhero movies is not just one genre there are like sub genres within it.
I just wanna go on record and say I’ve been preaching the good word of moon knight for years I just know that everyone is gonna say they’ve always been a moon knight fan once this series drops
7:56 but the eyes of the shadow are glowing (or reflecting light), whereas Khonshu has hollowed sockets. Perhaps in the museum we see Werewolf by Night?
The scene of him and his reflections with him holding his arm, he's definitely holding onto his bag. But I see why it looks like he could be hurt
I absolutely love the memento angle their able to use in this series
The scene you're talking about around the 11:00 mark, I don't think he's injured. He appears to be holding the strap for his bag.
This is a preference, but i love when a story has that “can’t tell dream from reality” aspect. The creative freedom for that principal is always awesome cuz dreams can literally be anything
Yes, it was a bi-pedal, half-human/half-jackal supernatural entity and Moon Knight was obviously killing it for an undisclosed reason.
I remember Agent Sitwell in the movie Captain America Winter Soldier referenced this by stating how Zolas algorithm worked. He mentioned a few names such as Stephen Strange, he also mentioned “The tv anchor in Cairo”. Just a small fun fact.
He's not a TV anchor though. I know they keep making content from old lines in old films but that doesn't mean every line refers to something.
@Senzo Benedict Marvel rarely throws in a line without it having some sort of foreshadowing/meaning. Especially since almost all of the lines in that conversation referred to future Characters like Strange and Amadeus Cho. Not that of a reach.
@Murk really now? And that means he's the tv anchor in Cairo?
@Senzo Benedict Moon Knight is the anti-hero mercenary with powers from Cairo......he has powers from Egyptian gods.
What does that have to do with this?
Is it just me, or is Ethan Hawke slowly morphing into Kevin Bacon as he gets older?
It's scary how alike they are.
I thought they were the same person
10:21 that's actually horus and seth crowning ramses III, the real version of that statue is 2 meters tall and located in the egyptian museum in cairo
Love the constant calling of the version of him working in a gift shop “loser”. Kept up the great work Voss, keep being classy like that. Keep calling that identity a loser. Love it. Just well written material here. Loser. Good stuff.
I love the dark side Marvel so much! I can't wait for this series!!
In the mirror shot where fabric wraps around Steven to form the costume, we can see that the fabric is not reflected in the mirror. Could this mean something?
In Ethan Hawke and Oscar Isaac’s reaction video they both seem to be really excited when they see a crocodile on his phone screen.
I think it’s a bigger detail than we realize.
during the scene in the cupcake van, i think its Marc who fights the men chasing him and then Steven takes control given how shocked Marc looks when he sees the gun in hand.
This makes me sad, just hearing about the death of Gaspard Ulliel.
Same Rest In Peace Gaspard Ulliel A Legend
I think because of the way Moonknight’s suit envelopes him it looks similar to the way Venom envelopes Eddie could be an ancient symbyote that they called Konshu and one of its ability’s is to mess with it hosts mind.
@Scarlet Ragneel Oh thought you were talking bout Moon Knight, but yeah thats true.
@Eternal Flame The comment is about what Konshu is so I'm referring to Konshu. Konshu is an Egyptian lunar deity.
@Scarlet Ragneel Avatar of a God, I think.
He's literally a God.
It could also be a another being but similar to a symbiote
When he walks past the mirror, he wasn’t bitten. He was holding the strap to his shoulder bag.
I just realized, apocalypse builded pyramids, and moon knight's connected with Egyptian stuff like pyramids. It would be a cool scene in something like multiverse of madness to see both of them.
When he's doing that punch on "Anubis" it sooooo resembles of batman's punching from so many movies. Feels like a hint of how moon knight was the marvel response to batman.
RIP to Gaspard Ulliel, cant wait to see his midnight character
I used to get so mad at Marvel. They’d start a Moonknight series and then can it, over and over again. The last one Warren Ellis wrote was genius. I hope this series sparks renewed interest in a complex character who’s lingered around the Marvel verse for years and is a personal favourite of mine. Go Oscar!!!
@j maguire lol
@Matthew Stubblefield I used to get so mad at Marvel. They’d start a Moonknight series and then can it, over and over again. The last one Warren Ellis wrote was genius. I hope this series sparks renewed interest in a complex character who’s lingered around the Marvel verse for years and is a personal favourite of mine. Go Oscar!!!
Huh
Wish they woulda done the outfit more practical looking, but regardless it looks like a must see and the casting of Oscar Isaac is perfect!
What if the punching Scene was finished. In the comics when he has his mask he can see true face so what if the first teaser was Steven or a passers bys perspective
And the second is from moon knights
The darkhold was a huge deal in agents of shield aswell!
The trailer was so intriguing I can’t wait
Episode 1 = *Steven Grant*
Episode 2 = *Jake Lockley*
Episode 3 = *Inner Child*
Episode 4 = *Mr. Knight*
Episode 5 = *Marc Spector Origin* _(Left for dead in Egypt)_
Episode 6 = *Moon Knight*
@Jake Mercury lmao
omg so true
@The Pillowhead Lol just white costume? There is no such 'white' costume in the comics, it's either moon knight or mr knight.
@Tanay Kumar Or maybe its..just a white costume
@The Pillowhead No if you look in the disney+ teaser last year he was wearing the Mr.knight costume, or maybe they shot season 1 and season 2 together?
The only con is that with Oscar in marvel now, it means no possible starwars cross over......maybe. Also, the creature that he's beating up at the end, I think might be a set animal, or at least Marvel's visulation of it. Set animals are known for their emancated looks and long ears. They're pure evil as well, while Anubis, God of the dead, is a "good" God, and while marvel could have him be evil, I can't imagine they really would.
At 10:46 I don’t think he’s been injured at all… I think he’s just holding the strap of his shoulder bag.
Marvel really hits this out of the park. They beautifully shows the insanity of Mark's disorder through the insane timeline and character switches. 👏👏👏to Oscar
Fantastic as always. I have no clue how you all pump this out so quickly. You all should do Ozark!
Moon knights gonna be epic this is the best casting ever!
@Tanay Kumar she’s Sony
@Sebastian Mohiam Darkholme Stormborn Harkness amy pascal as well
IN FEIGE AND SARA FINN WE TRUST.
@jigga115 yeah idk how marvel does it but they should keep doing it
Marvel always does a great job with there casting...can't say the same 4 dc although they tryn 2 get better
This will Bring Us into Multiverse of Madness with the Last Episode Airing May 4. Idk if it will have any lead up to MoM but I would have been nice to have 1 more episode and have some kinda loss Connect to what happening in Doctor Strange
I love how he has this gift for articulate detail detection & what does he do? Does he become a profiler/detective/FBI Agent/anything else...nope! He breaks down anything MARVEL related and I love him for it, lol. Thanks! *I was thinking, if they go the old comic route and use the part of his old origin where he was betrayed & left for dead by another mercenary, agrees to become Khonshu's Avatar, resurrected but uses the stephen persona to hide out but goes too deep with that person he created?* IDK, I'll leave all that stuff up to you!
I think we explore his past life after him recollecting it.
The fact that Oscar now has played a Marvel character in each universe is amazing
Moon Knight - MCU
Spiderman 2099 - Sonyverse
Apocalypse - X-Men Fox Verse
The actor for Anton Mogart sadly died today. RIP Gaspard Ulliel
A detail u missed in the break down when we first see moon knight taking form if u look closer into the mirror his reflection stays the same and dose not change
I'm definitely getting a Moon Knight shirt you make when the show drops.
I'm hoping for Mr. Knight as well. Thats my favorite.
Oscar Isaac is perfect for this. I can't wait.
I think the monster that appeared in the first teaser is the same one the Moon knght fighting in this trailer, not Khonshu. I don' know, Khonshu's eyes almost never glow in comic.
