      @Olivia Kingsley your welcome.

      Hope it helps.

I had have so much anger so much rage and well in my 20's 3 to 5 years did not help........

It's not always about being passive or aggressive.... it's...... taking stock and going this is not important.

"Well that's good what do U want me to do about it"

These days I have compassion for all.... but give so little fucks when it's not my problem.....

U just have to understand that most people are empty corwards that just push and push and push to see what they can get.....

Sorry not sure if it was helpful.

I'm good with my hands and dumb as a bag of rocks.

Which is kinda how I got here to start with.

      Best of luck.

I am always very polite and thankful we even clean up our own table and leave a good tip Everytime... 1 no spit in your food 2 likely to remember you next time and treat you well people are very rude never tip etc I always enjoyed meeting kind polite understanding people... This "lady" probably has worked or still works in food... Not people pleasing... Knowing better 🤣🤣

@Solitary Reaper Highly unlikely unless you treated the staff poorly. Even then, 99% of people would rather get revenge by giving bad/slow service cause most people agree that spitting in food crosses a line.

@Christian Huft - Robbins As a chef, we have a system on cooking food. When damn near everyone in the house wants an alteration to their order. However minor they may seem individually it still stress us out cuz we aren’t only cooking your order but everything else at the same time. Now we have to remember to make your altered order correctly while still processing the other orders altered or not.

    • TheJocelynrae

I was a waitress for over a decade. Honestly, as long as you're polite and not condescending, we really don't mind fixing mistakes for you. If your food is made wrong, or you get the wrong food, we're happy to fix it for you. Even if you ordered something you never tried before, but you hate it and want to order something else, we don't care as long as you understand that you'll have to wait, and you aren't demanding the other item come off your bill just because you didn't like it (assuming it was made correctly)...if you're nice though, and the manager on shift is nice, sometimes we're able to comp stuff like that for you (but don't expect that- it's very hit or miss).

What is annoying is people with 10,000 modifications who are super picky, and send back every single little thing, or make us remake something because they forgot to ask in the first place. We also hate being talked to like we're stupid or having people snap their fingers at us.

Also, if you like your steak well done, just ask the server which cut is the better cut to cook well done. If you love the sirloin or something, but it's a baseball cut, you can ask for the cook to butterfly the steak (cut it in half across the middle like a sandwich and fold it out like a butterfly) to make it cook in half the time.

Aaaah..I seem to have stumbled upon you on yet another medium. Good to see you're still going.

There's one I've always wanted to see. One of our friends would look at a menu and then she would take something and completely change the content of the item. Swapping and changing, less of, more of, etc.

Most times the server would try to accommodate. One time we were in France, she tried it there, big order change and the waiter stared at her deadpan and said 'Non' and walked off. I've never laughed so hard in my life.

I think you're the only man who could pull it off.

i work as a server, these people are always the kindest people!! which in my book, always results in the best service possible!

“Can I get the steak well done , I know they hate it I know I know” that’s me BUT if I’m paying for it I want it how I want it 🤣😭

  • Angry Car Mechanic Plays

My mom taught me to always be like this with all types of service people. Even as a mechanic when a "people pleaser" comes in I'd rather talk with them for an hour than deal with 6 rude guests that take 10 minutes.

When you’ve worked in the food industry it kinda becomes a force of habit when you’re the customer

this is totally me, one time I asked for a medium well steak (I don't mind pink!) and it came out blood red, blue rare almost purple it was not cooked and I thought "well just eat it" but I literally couldn't and thank goodness my waitress could understand my panic because she fixed it

Lmaooo I do this (although if they mess up my shit, I won’t say anything as long as it’s still vegan) but not necessarily to please them. I just don’t want to feel like a bother, especially since I worked at a McDonalds for two years.

I love people like this, they are super sweet. I’d rather have this instead of people snapping or yelling at me to get me to get a straw.

I feel called out, but that's because I know what it's like working in a restaurant. I also do this in stores since I also work in the retail industry as a parttime job. I just feel bad for what they have to go through because of order mistakes and stuff.

Really? The reason why they feel bad for asking so much is they probably aren't going to tip you well. It happens all the time
