Is Baker to blame for the Browns' Week 6 loss?

@Frank Macias I've been saying they were all catchable passed but they were still all terrible throws. It's a 2 way street.

    • Frank Macias
      Frank Macias Month ago

@LurKing I understand this...but those passes were catchable...if those passes were thrown by Arron Rodgers they be talking bad about those wide receivers...its all about the narrative

    • LurKing
      LurKing Month ago

@Robert Ferguson poor offensive line play? Baker was sitting in the pocket the whole game untouched.

    • LurKing
      LurKing Month ago

@Ryan van den Meerendonk the throws were late every time and behind the receiver every time. Even on the slant route to Odell when he nothing but green in front of him and had is man beat Baker throw it to the back shoulder while Odell is running full speed not expecting his qb to do that instead of leading the ball into open space. Yes all of those passes were catchable but it still doesn't make it not a bad throw.

@Tyler Foster Odell is better than Landry

The amount of revisionist history in this is incredible. "Baker throws too many picks". He threw 14 in 14 games last year. Darnold threw 15 in 13 games and hes your favorite young QB. "You have to play Kyle Shanahan". That's the same 49ers team that won 4 games last year. Baker has been horrible this year but you cant pretend these concerns were known before the season. His judgment is bad and has been bad. Kitchens is clueless as a coach. Their schedule is tough. Those are things we knew. No one is concerned when a rookie QB throws a pick per game in his first season. Look at brees and peyton. No one thought the 49ers would be undefeated right now. You dont get to change history and then pretend you knew this all along and everyone else is crazy for not reading the tea leaves. This is why I rarely listen to you anymore. You clearly have zero integrity and just ride the wind to your next point. Give klatt your show and save us all.

"Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray have a better offense than McVay and Goff"
Until they play Bill Belichick in the Super Bowl and he breaks your offense, seriously we'll see how good Kyler is once the training wheels come off.

Colin basically made the other sides point. The Cowboys can only win one way, are flat, play down to competition, and if anybody is hurt they can't find a way to win. That's an 8-8 team

They dont need energy they need a coaching staff with a gameplan to beat other teams. You cover your weaknesses and accentuate your strenghts. Thats what the hoodie does.

Sam darnold is not better than dak. Lets not get crazy. If darnold has a higher ceiling hes going to be an all time great. I looked at the numbers and numbers say that romo and dak are both really good so i have to turn to the coaching staff, cause clearly the front office is working.

  • Jacob Aaron

The deeper problem is that it is jerry Jones fault for not getting rid of Garrett years ago. Your real problem is your owner wants a yes man for a coach and yes men are never good coaches. Jones only hires yes men for the last twenty years

  • Mathiase Taddeo

Dolphins fan here. Look, I like darnold.... but Dak has wayyyyy more versatility as a player than darnold. Problem is, how much more will darnold develop within the next 2 years? I’ll put my money he’s just another Matt Moore for the jets. Dak is just fine. P.S. Matt Moore was one of the best backups in NFL. Change my mind.

    • 4eightyvolt
      4eightyvolt Month ago

Did you not see how awful the jets were without him. They couldn't score a TD without him. They were like a completely different team once he came back. I don't think I've ever seen one player make such a dramatic impact on a football team.

I agree with Colin about the Browns. Not surprised at all that the Browns started 2-4. I predicted them to start 3-5 for the first 8 games (lose to NE, beat DEN). I wasn't buying into the hype just yet. Being good on paper only does you so much.
Anyways, Browns and Baker needed those "wake up games" early in the season against the Titans and 49ers when they got smacked. Their first half schedule is brutal...however, the second half schedule I could see them going 6-2 through the final 8 games.

I think the Browns will go 9-7 and contend for a wildcard spot with the Bills, Colts, Chargers/Raiders and whoever else will be in that race then.

New coaches aren't going to change or fix the problem. The owners ARE the problem and they are in no hurry to either sell the team or have a real goal to make them competitive. But their obvious goal of mediocrity is raking in the loot, so whats the problem.

When are people gonna realize the cowboys suck, ranking them before season starts is always problematic, it's never close to reality, they look good on paper, never amounts to what it appears, because this is real, it's not PlayStation or Xbox, the cowboys are not a top tier team, been saying it , and will continue until they change, most of their so called stars are overrated due to their lack of consistency for one, I mean damn, what they getting all this cash for, then they have a break out game versus scrubs here and there, maybe a home victory by large margin with some home advantage favorable calls involved, and everybody owe the cowboys, I knew it! They top ten, top 5, blah blah blah, they top swine

Jerry Jones is the "Shadow Head Coach" of the Dallas Cowboys. Jerry Jones is not going to allow a Real Coach to coach. Tis why only 2 playoff wins in the last 20 plus years. Coaching is Jerry's hobby not his profession.

What bothers me is this team went into this season knowing Smith is on the downside of his career and injury prone and did not get a decent backup LT. Dak is getting hammered and will not make it through the season if this keeps up, and of course their backup QB has no experience at all..
