Yep. It would be cool to see some Arca or late model racing there just to generate money for the track and to provide a place for different types of racing. Wouldn't it be cool to have an SRX race there.?! A Tony Stewart SRX race at the FF would be awesome. Just my thoughts.
I left a few comments saying I have a 2300 pound AWD car that's built and makes 600hp turned up. About 480hp on low boost. Comes with tons of extra drive train parts and spare blocks and heads. It's a 91 talon and it's in great shape. Has a 6266 precision. Has the famous 4g63t. I want 10k
@M p I wouldn't sell it for 20k if I wasn't in a bad spot. And with 4 kids that come 1st the car has to go. I have another one that is bone stock one owner car that I will keep. He never replied to my email which is a shame bc I know it can and would win that race. I have a friend with a twin turbo c6 with 970hp that lost to my dsm. So I know it's capable.
@James Caudill it's been as much as 41psi and consistently been at 28psi for the past 2 years. It's built right and with great parts. It's also been maintained and cared for. Hell I wouldn't be afraid to drive it across country as it sits

The real near--unbeatable car would be Adam LZ's 911 Turbo, it can hook off the line, crazy power and dual clutch and can obviously turn way better than a GTR or old jdm.

Saw a four wheel drive vett once, jacked up on big mud tires. Wasn't very practical but it was cool. So it's probably doable. It was a monster garage TV show project.

Hear me out... It's not AWD and doesn't have 700hp, but... Ariel Atom. The power to weight is amazing. Sub 3 second 0-60 and excellent handling in capable hands. Basically a shifter kart on steroids.

@Mayuri Shiina I searched before I commented. It took about 30 seconds to find at least 1 low mile Atom for sale, although it was in Oregon. Even from there it could be in Florida in less than a week with Cleet's connections.

You should get a new m3 competition. Automatic 8speed, awd , pretty good looking car and can be a daily. You could also do turbo swap downpipes intakes and can be tuned. Talk to Adam lz and Jordan at rk tunes and they can tell you what you’d need. Granted you wount have all that done by Saturday but would be a good car for the next spectator drags

Cleet - created and running incredible empire requiring intense focus, attention to detail and organizational skills. Also Cleet - give me any AWD car this week, and I will defeat drivers using cars they've logged hundreds of hours in.
After all said and done, light weight, and reasonable/ drivable power level, honestly a mini cooper s, theres two good ones, the supercharged version, or the later model turbo version. With a shot of nos for the straight away, the car will do the test around the corners.
Whatever you get PLEASE make sure it gets michelin pilot sports or at least grippy boi nittos. Will be worth seconds even on the short track no matter what you get
@Brian Underwood I’m an Aussie so we’ve had the RB’s here for 20years. I’ve owned two 32GTR’s and I would own one again over a JZ Supra any day. My mate had a WRX when they first came out and in 3-4 months the gearbox blew in it. Generally the people that own WRX’s are old men or young kids that don’t know much about cars.
Have a Subaru that I've had for a long time. Over 70k into it, made just shy of 1,000whp with a full turboback exhaust on the car. Hood or fender exit, the car is easily capable of a good bit more. Currently sitting on lower boost in the upper 30's making around 750.

Hmmm, in the majority of cases, a WRX that has been wound up to 700bhp is likely to blow up. I have a WRX, I love them, but facts are facts. Some people do build them up really well and get good power out of them, but that is expensive.

I think you should maybe take the L next week and take the time to find the right car and build it up to beat those guys. Instead of just trying to get a turn key. I'd love to watch that build.

@William Stevens btw had to check and you are wrong about the hornet class rules. this is copy paste from the rules. Consecutive Wins Penalty : Any driver or car in the division that wins three consecutive A-Main events at the Gas City I-69 Speedway will be required to start the next A-Main feature at the tail of the field. that sounds like a fair rule considering how open the class is, but in no way does it talk about not being able to keep winning just a handicap on the next race. and i know this isnt the only hornet class, after looking it up we actually have kinda the same thing here at our local track and its fun to watch people racing old cheap beaters around.

@Ben Uebergang i agree, there are plenty of ways to get into racing on a budget with low buck class racing. so why the need to change this event? i do think Cleetus should get some class racing going and im sure he will soon enough just takes time. i think having some kart racing divided up into a few classes would be really cool. seal up a bunch of cheap clone engines and sell them for a set price and run 2-3 age groups. fun and fair and cheap as it gets.

If you don’t get a car by then, you guys should build a Eagle Talon TSi AWD for spectator drags since it’s technically an “American” car, (basically a Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX) also it’s got the 4g63, and lighter compared to an Evo.

Hear me out... It's not AWD and doesn't have 700hp, but... Ariel Atom. The power to weight is amazing. Sub 3 second 0-60 and excellent handling in capable hands. Basically a shifter kart on steroids.

@Mayuri Shiina I searched before I commented. It took about 30 seconds to find at least 1 low mile Atom for sale, although it was in Oregon. Even from there it could be in Florida in less than a week with Cleet's connections.

Cleet - created and running incredible empire requiring intense focus, attention to detail and organizational skills. Also Cleet - give me any AWD car this week, and I will defeat drivers using cars they've logged hundreds of hours in.
After all said and done, light weight, and reasonable/ drivable power level, honestly a mini cooper s, theres two good ones, the supercharged version, or the later model turbo version. With a shot of nos for the straight away, the car will do the test around the corners.
Whatever you get is probably going to need serious work to get it ready/reliable for the drags. Could see some good videos this week if all goes well

@Brian Underwood I’m an Aussie so we’ve had the RB’s here for 20years. I’ve owned two 32GTR’s and I would own one again over a JZ Supra any day. My mate had a WRX when they first came out and in 3-4 months the gearbox blew in it. Generally the people that own WRX’s are old men or young kids that don’t know much about cars.
Why couldn't you go with a turbo AWD, SHO?? HONESTLY I had one with little mods and it was pretty fast!
Have a Subaru that I've had for a long time. Over 70k into it, made just shy of 1,000whp with a full turboback exhaust on the car. Hood or fender exit, the car is easily capable of a good bit more. Currently sitting on lower boost in the upper 30's making around 750.

Hmmm, in the majority of cases, a WRX that has been wound up to 700bhp is likely to blow up. I have a WRX, I love them, but facts are facts. Some people do build them up really well and get good power out of them, but that is expensive.

I've seen plenty of rear wheel drive cars out run AWD cars around a track,it's all about corner speed and hooking off the line
I think you should maybe take the L next week and take the time to find the right car and build it up to beat those guys. Instead of just trying to get a turn key. I'd love to watch that build.

@William Stevens btw had to check and you are wrong about the hornet class rules. this is copy paste from the rules. Consecutive Wins Penalty : Any driver or car in the division that wins three consecutive A-Main events at the Gas
City I-69 Speedway will be required to start the next A-Main feature at the tail of the
field. that sounds like a fair rule considering how open the class is, but in no way does it talk about not being able to keep winning just a handicap on the next race. and i know this isnt the only hornet class, after looking it up we actually have kinda the same thing here at our local track and its fun to watch people racing old cheap beaters around.
@William Stevens dont know the class, my dad got out of racing in the late 90s, looks like it was a good call lol whats the point if you just get punished for winning? in his day it was common rule that you had to sell your engine to someone else for a set amount of money if they wanted it. kept people from throwing big money into an engine and keeps it fair. i think thats ok.

@Ben Uebergang i agree, there are plenty of ways to get into racing on a budget with low buck class racing. so why the need to change this event? i do think Cleetus should get some class racing going and im sure he will soon enough just takes time. i think having some kart racing divided up into a few classes would be really cool. seal up a bunch of cheap clone engines and sell them for a set price and run 2-3 age groups. fun and fair and cheap as it gets.

That VR4 is DIALED. To beat it you’re going to need a dedicated street legal track toy like an Ariel Atom or A LOT of time to get something sorted.
@Nick Gonzalez there a grand tourer, they never had any sucsess in the Japanese touring car championship, there jyst to heavy, 1800kg, thats 3900 pounds, the most successful Japanese touring car was the nissan r32 gtr, thay absolutely dominated the Japanese touring car scene.
Vr4s are crazy in general. They are ment for stuff like that. The wheel base, low center of gravity, power, awd, aws. Just all around amazing vehicle. Use to be so slept on.
