Love the Star Trek reference, wonder how many caught that. Only found your channel a couple weeks ago and I'm hooked!
I got lucky with ac seem to be cleaner . Real hot melted the base
I subscribed because the "3/32 filler rod" joke. Very nice!
Nice Video. Do yeah think that Brazing Aluminum would work. Thanks for you're time.
I know this is a way old vid and hope you see this post. I don't know if anyone has mentioned, back up on the arc length for brazing. Will give a bigger "heat effected zone" thus won't have to wash. Or use fancy pulse or anything 😜
What brand of filler rod did you use? This is a good learning video. They way you present it with adjustments of machine and technique. Love it and thanks for taking your time and money to bring videos like this to us.
So it's literally soldering, not welding.
Gosh this sucks.
why no flux? I thought the flux helped work the bronze. or is that only with torch brazing?
You know that there is a video of yours on usaweld.com in regards to the tig welder of yours... Also, the price of that thing... made me sick... Back in my day, you could buy a house with that kinda money... Much love
3/32 filler rod HAHAHAHA 🤣
I used this method to replace broken fins on some 1946 Harley knuckle heads, after grinding, shaping, blasting, and painting they looked like new.
Great video as always, but I'm curious about the overall strength you achieved and is it functional.
So how _do_ you weld mahogany to cherry then, if SiB won’t do the trick?
Lol you are one funny dude. Very entertaining
Im curious if you can get bronze flux core wire.
SiB .....hot melt glue for metals! ;-)
Can you TIG braze aluminum with DC?
Lots of good information! I'm really getting into TIG welding silicone bronze and liking it!
is this rod useable with oxy-acet
Great video thanks :)
Silicon Bronze aka coat hangers 🤷♂️🤣
I’d be careful what I’d say around the robot overlords
Having done soldering, silver soldering, silver brazing, etc, etc, etc, I can totaly agree about the difference between gas brazing and TIG brazing. For those not in the know, a properly fit up joint that is well cleaned, fluxed, and heated with the filler applied in the correct way and amount with a gas torch will result in fillets on both the outside and inside of the joint as well as the interface. The result is a weld that far exceeds the strength of the base metals in most cases. Think CrMo motorcycle and bicycle frames as a prime example. Some aircraft frames use this method as well. I have used silver solder to join parts to make custom hydraulic fittings even that held
Works great on cast iron.
They call it silly bronze.
Youre feeding looks cloddish..Too much emphasis on stabbing .Feed it wothout stabbing
I've never brazed with my everlast tig welder before either but I keep seeing videos on it and want to give it a try.
Great video, thank you. I am not finding zinc free silicon bronze TIG rod, most have some percentage by weight of zinc. Can you recommend a specific product? Thank you
Bastich that last weld was to die for 💪
Just enough funny remarks that it was 110% enjoyable to watch and more than I bargained for when clicking the video! Thx for the awesome trails, I was wondering how this would work!
Bro... why didn’t you just take a bit of time to set up the foot pedal ? 😂😂😂
Great info and great technique but I find myself doubting the entire video since the presenter has chewed his fingernails down to their first joint. 😆
I don't need the peripheral vision in my welding mask. My cat is usually supposed to be on fire
"Before we don our gay apparel"....lmao

Anyone from Europe? where could I get these rods?
So I just started, watching your videos, and you give good information. I was wondering how you like your HPT machine, I just purchased a norstar, and it works pretty dam good ,but doesn't have pulse like your machine. I haven't tig welded for 35 years since I was in school, but arc and mig all the time so basically I'm learning all over again.
I try keeping my rod in the shielding gas when I dab. I weld in the aerospace industry and let me tell you... They. Nitpick. Every. Small. Detail. But for good reason. Pulling out of the puddle but keeping it shielded keeps impurities off the tip of the rod. Love your channel.
This is a lot like silver soldering with tig. It was full welding naval brass flanges to carbon steel pipe.
Q código es esa varilla de aporte según la aws
FUNNIE makes ALL the difference! Thanks!
Honestly your hilarious and make listening and learning so much more enjoyable. Love what you do man keep it up
This would be good for fixing holes in cast iron engine blocks.
why would you join stainless steel to steel? bad example?
cleaning the metal pices roughly an inch from your fingers with no gloves. oof
You should have welded the thin metal to the thick metal
lets start off with.. i have no idea.
A hex brazed to a round!!!! Whatever is this world coming to? Next thing ya know we'll have anarchy. You know, things like dogs and cats living together and things like that
Owning a grinder does not make one a welder. Would this work for thin titanium?
12:19This part is good
@18:00 "That's hot..."
Where can I get some tig rubber band's? M
If you want a challenge . weld 2 thin razor blades together
Very entertaining, I would get no work done with you in the shop.
Out of all the old clowns out there you're my favorite. No cerial you know yer stuffa.
