      the cherry stone separator is quite nice tool if you want to destone many cherry's.
      i have the following one
      GLASS german made CHERRY STONER Pit Remover {yellow colored one}
      it works like a charm and within like 2 days you can destone over 12KG of cherry's {it was a good cherry season last year}
      {12kg without stones}
      you do need to remove the spring so it works better. {since the spring gets tangled up on itself}
      it would be a hell to do it whithout a destoner

      I really hope you do come up with a range of gadgets. I myself suffer with dyshidrotic eczema. Which makes my hands painful to use at times. So when cooking I tend to rely on alot of gadgets. That's why I love watching these videos. At least I know of a product is any good before I buy it. I think coming up with your own quality gadget products is a wounderful idea that would help alot of people.

    ily Barry but you're far too old to have not realised that _everyone_ has a regional accent.

    You've always sounded middle class Home Counties to me.

  • Denise Rosendaal

    i bought the cherry pitter for my dad a few years ago. it broke with just a have batch of cherries done.... this year we just used a beer bottle and a chopstick with a flat top. works like a charm. put the cherry on the bottle, push the stone through with the chopstick. fast, easy and the stones are collected in the beerbottle

    I just had a 2 day marathon watching your gadget videos! Now on to the others. (FYI- I’m disabled, and even though I don’t need help in the kitchen, I do in other parts of my life so I know what that’s like and love that you remind people to be nice because gadgets can be helpful for people like me!). Thanks for keeping me entertained.

    The reasoning behind the plastic lettuce knife might be the same reason you are usually supposed to tear lettuce with your hands instead of cutting it. The plastic knife is not sharp so it kind of just tears the lettuce instead of slicing through the cell walls. Imagine if you zoomed in on a piece of lettuce the cell structure looks like bubble wrap where the bubbles are filled with water. When you cut with a sharp knife you are slicing through those sacs of water exposing the inside to the open air (oxidation). When you tear (perhaps also when you use that dull plastic knife) you are tearing along the boundaries between the cells. Less cells get their insides exposed to the air thus slowing down the browning.

    I’m a brand new viewer, and I’ve gotta say, even just the fact that you’d be exploring the possibility of creating some kitchen tools that could help anyone, even people with disabilities, has sold me completely on your channel. I really hope you end up figuring out some tools you’d like to create in the future. Thank you for wanting to help anyone and everyone have access to helpful tools in the kitchen!

    You’re not supposed to crack an egg on the side of a bowl. You’re supposed to crack it on a flat surface because if there’s any traces of salmonella on the outside of the egg you’re driving it into the egg it’s self.

    I think if you’re going to go for gadgets, I’d prefer them to be good quality ones. I’m trying to avoid buying stuff I don’t need or things that will just take up space. But if it’s good quality and will last a long time, it would be an easier purchase.
