For the BBCE dude to be like "We ALL got duped, agreed?" seems like such a slap in the face. Like bro, you're the AUTHENTICATOR.
So it’s insured by them
Right
They gonna pay him back
Right
To be fair, you can’t authenticate a cardboard box.
no because he authenticated the exterior of the box, it looked right , the insides different story,
Ikr I was like bruh but we can't blame em cz the looks on the box it's too legit
Let's be honest. It's the authentication service's fault. They said it hadn't been tampered with, they gotta take their responsibility and pay for it.
The authenticator was payed by Logan to say the box is real on camera.
oh for sure, no one is gonna trust his company now haha
perfect way,
if
someone
wanted to destroy
the reputation of 3 authenticators.
A pokemon youtuber called Rattle pokemon show how the box was sus from the get go
He probably got a nice amount of change to authenticate it as well. Or else why actually put that stamp of approval. I mean no one forces a gun to their head and makes them do it. Plus they always say “I’m not sure”. Once you stamp it and authenticate it you out your reputation on the line
Rattle did a better job authenticating it than a "real" authenticator
Isn't Rattle a Pokemon expert? If so, then yes, he would know more than an authenticator would about Pokemon products. It works both ways though. If Rattle was given a, let's say, unopened 1975 Baseball wax box, he wouldn't have a clue on how to authenticate it.
Exactly😬
Rattle really be rattling.
so true and he didn't even need it in his possession to know it was faked..
@Official TCG Collector trueee, very well said
The fact that Logan was in a room full of "experts" and he was the first to point out something was wrong when the box opened says a lot
@Abraham Rodz not everything is about politics
@Abraham Rodz i dont think logan would pay 3.5 mill for a stunt
I can see the credibility of that authentication company burning up, they should never have authenticated this without knowing what they are talking about.
also i feel like they should have opened it or something to see
I mean I'm sure they know what their talking about..nothing in life that a human does is always 100% accurate
I feel bad for the guys at BBCE, their business is fucked. It’s a shame that they got duped here too and they’re paying the consequences by losing their business. They should’ve researched this better though. It’s a shitty situation.
@J D maybe even ALL PSA cards. I mean clearly the market is going to move to computer graded cards and take human bias out of the loop. The writing is on the wall. It's like how uber took over the taxi industry through technology. The future is computer graded cards 1000%
@DrPonce09 i feel bad for everyone with psa graded packs sitting in their collection lmao
“We all got duped agreed”
Looks around to see if anyone would agree, and gets one “yep” now he’s thinking “thank god I’m off the hook” lmaoo
According to Pokebeach, shyne refunded Logan immediately, but those colluding with THEJEW aren't budging as of Thursday night.
Seriously. That dude didn’t want to take any responsibility. He is almost entirely at fault. No one would have bought the damn thing if it hadn’t been authenticated by him.
Logan Paul congratulated for your baby in his podcast (which is kinda sick)
@hiszo Logan Paul and Ksi Podcast
which episode?
I like that he’s changed
Actually 🔥💯
Like the shout out to rattle... he deserves respect for his research into this and hasn't gotten enough credit. Makes great content too
I quite like the fact that he doesn't put too much effort into his editing. Kinda weirdly adds a bit of charm to his vids and is refreshing as it's his way of showing he doesnt really care about clout and just wants to get the truth/right information out there.
I love Rattle! He has a great personality and great content - his videos lack a little bit in production/editing value imo (they aren't bad though!), so I hop he manages to improve this so his channel gets the credit it deserves.
I love the logic lesson here. You are correct. “If” it’s real it should be worth 3.5 mil given he bought it thinking it was a real sealed box. Not that it might be a real box.
@Dorito Fan100 100% lmao
@EntityX that’s a fair point, those gi Joe cards are definitely worth more than the average gi Joe cards lol
My logic is, if the box has Charizard in it, then the value will be more than 3.5 million because it has Logan's name on it and it was involved in a big 'scandal' that's why I think the value would've been more because it would've essentially been the most famous Pokemon box of all time
@Renee B. also Logan having them make their value go up too
@Renee B. there wasn’t 100% certainty. Even the BBCE guy who authenticated it wasn’t 100% sure.
But also even if they knew that the cards were real, they don’t know what the cards are. The cards could be worth 10mil if they were lucky or they could be less if there was’t any charizard
Rattle did an amazing job! Not sure Logan will be that embarrassed tbh, gets a banger video, a refund and a bunch of publicity for the beverage. Seems like a win win
Watch the GI Joe card market absolutely take off to the moon now Logan has some 😂
@Juan M. Sanchez The 1991 boxes went from $40 yesterday, to $80+ today lol
There's a 2004 box auctioning on EBAY for $240 US at the time im posting this
Imagine if this box exceeds the worth of 3.5 mil 😂😂
Id be very surprised if BBCE isnt done after this. I would never trust their services after something like this 😬
@Chaebean Bak thing is. The box hasn’t aged like others. All they did was make a box print a lable on it and put tape on it. ( note the tape is not even the same for other old boxes ) and they just scraped the box on a table a bunch of times to make it look like it has been places. Thats why you see those lines.
Throughout the whole vid he wants to act like the victim. I think he realizes his rep is now tarnished. He coulda easily gone on to not authenticate the box or not be definitive about it. I still think even with looking into it even without being a huge expert a sealed case seems hard to fabricate. I think he didn’t do his work properly. The case might have been good but the contents inside were horrible. If indeed it was done recently, then it couldn’t have been that good to the point where the aging On it can also be faked
@Renee B. Unfortunately this exact point is what will probably spare BBCE from litigation.
Before the month ends...
Joe Orlando- PSA/Collector's Universe has made the decision to no longer seek the services of BBCE. This decision was agreed upon by both parties. We wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors.
It’s weird that they had nothing to compare it to as far as testing, such as comparing weight and or some type of x-ray, to make sure. I’m sure those GIJoe packs inside scan completely differently than a first edition pokemon pack.
Yes but they could of weighed them and made it add up.
When the BBCE dude said "We ALL got duped, agreed?" that was rough considering they just lost all of their credibility
This is unbelievable. I hate our community sometimes 😔.
Why would you pay 2.7 million to somebody that gave you three different origin stories and why would you then sell it on without making that clear FIRST
So glad they opened it. It needed to be done
I can't stop laughing about those BBCE guys xD
Why do they think they're qualified to authenticate a Pokémon product? They never handle this stuff.
This is not good for their image and it's their own fault.
He lost 3.5m but at least I got a good belly laugh at that gi joe theme tune at the end 😂
He got a refund but yes :P
I just hope theres a massive man hunt for the people responsible for this. They have to show scammer cant just get away with stuff and serious without series consequences.
"we all got duped, agreed?"
is an easy way to say, oops i fucked up someone take the blame with me
Yea, he was trying to get an agree for the camera and the court case coming his way.
It's absolutely shocking that this is happening in the Pokémon community. I've just recently started collecting again doing it with my daughter and have bought a jolteon Vmax box from a store. I've just ordered from yourself and very excited to get back into collecting. Will only trust legitimate businesses after watching this. Couldn't afford anything on that scale but it's mad to see this happen to anyone. Can't wait to receive my order keep up the great work.
Hats off to rattle pokemon 👏 he proper blew up this story
Just seeing how they causally throw around an actual 1st Ed box just shows how little they care for the actual hobby itself. Feel bad for Logan.
@Cade Johnson A little more care than moving it from one side of the table to the other?
K bud.
@K-Anator™ personally I’d handle something worth other $400k with a little more care but that’s just me
What are you talking about dude?
You see the authentic box for a total of 10 seconds at 7:10 and that's it, cameo over. And in that 10 seconds there is zero disrespect to the box.
I absolutely detest the Paul brothers, but at least hate on these people for something that actually happened.
they threw around the one had gi joes in it
@Miss Linh I think they had one of Logan’s actual boxes there to use as a comparison
Because of the high scrutiny around it being verified real would have made it go up even more either way they bought a case from known scammers and had a company that guarantees nothing but a wrap authenticate it.
Rattle has cemented himself as a Legend in the Pokémon TCG community.
so properly "authenticating" a case of cards is impossible!!.....right?!
correct.
always.
look before you leap.
I'm from a UK MARKET TOWN.
We were taught from kids, NEVER buy a sealed box.
Pretty much. If you can’t see what’s inside, you honestly will never really know. Booster boxes are hard enough. A sealed case where you can’t even see the booster boxes, oh hell no
“Why doesn’t this one say 1st edition on it?”
Quote of the year. Dude authenticated it and now is the dude that seems most nervous. I don’t think cases can be 100% certified after this but there probably isn’t another one one earth at this point
You can tell the exact moment Logan's heart breaks
I remember finding those GI Joe cards a few years after the cartoon went off the air. I like them, but not for $3.5m.
For the labels and the tape to look the way that they did, this box was probably a legit box when it came out and was very shortly swapped out, probably 20 years ago now. There's no way for BBCE to know the contents when they can only go off of the outside of the box. And if the box was swapped out 15-20 years ago, then there really isn't a way to authenticate it properly.
EDIT: After watching a video from Rattle going over the inconsistencies with the box, It is pretty evident that BBCE did not do their due diligence and are at fault for wrongly authenticating the product.
what if.
lots of erm.. empty boxes and tape rolls were "just simplyyyy" "taken" out from the factory
filed with junk
taped up
stored for time
then
just put out into the collectors market place.
*Genuine straight from the warehouse, unopened in original packaging*
boom
All started
"probably" way back??!! before factories used loadsa high tech security features on packaging.
imagine that. so simple.
probably.
just a thought.
@MrFunkyJoe Wow, yup you're right. I've added an edit to my original post. Thank you for pointing that out to me!
It wasn't though. I suggest you watch Rattles videos on this case. The tape and the barcode weren't right. BBCE screwed up big time.
What more could you want at the end of the day than to watch Randolph :)
Even by loosing he’s winning with the PR from this ❤️
I think they should make proxy/counterfit cards illegal to sell, then maybe they will stop making them fullstop
I think what the were thinking is the fact that the attention that this story has gotten and the fact they intended to prove its authenticity in front of the world that it would somehow add to its value
I think what the were thinking is the fact that the attention that this story has gotten and the fact they intended to prove its authenticity in front of the world that it would somehow add to its value
Do you think this may somehow trigger others to try to do even more faking? I wonder if people may see this and try to go all out and make the fakest looking stuff like this and cause more issues :(
It's worth more if it's real because when the box is opened and verified it opens the market to new buyers.
Randy does this now make you more concerned about buying rare boxes now? Or your confident on your knowledge?
Was it just me or was Logan Paul's face priceless when the BBCE dude said we all got duped agreed 🤯 Logan must of realised how bad a job was done authenticating it when he was explaining what he checked on the box and he did not even mention the label 🤔
Man, I feel so bad for Logan...good God...
I mean it sucks for him ofc, but ultimately he got a refund. So it's far more damaging to those who got scammed before him.
how?? he got 3.5 mil to burn on some pokemon scrap..... he's more than fine
Couldnt you just 3D scan the box with one of those MRI or airport machines and compare to a real booster box?
I worked in a factory and it's so easy to put those box lines on the stickers just by rubbing them down hard, especially if you got dirty hands it makes it look more aged !!!
even easier, employee just "borrow"?!, the boxes and tape from the company . and make up own. then put them out in the market place.
simple
yet Genuine.
100s of 1000's
already out there, from the moment some idiot, thought buying blind added to the actual products value was a gud thing.
probably
It's such an old con.
If it was real, it would be worth more than $3.5m after piecing out all the cards just based off the odds of the cards he could get. He wouldn't buy a sealed case for the minimum cost of what he could get for it. That would be a stupid risk to possibly break even.
Ya but it’s only worth that much because of who he is. He puts the info out there. Other guys are nobodies who wouldn’t be able to command that value
Not only feel bad for Logan.. but everyone involved, our card community as a whole. Just crazy
TCA Gaming should be asked. He is the guy with knowledge. I started collecting in 2015 he was the man back then he is the man to go now.
So glad they opened it. It needed to be done
im pretty sure that if a compnay verifys the authentication of a product and stamp it with their approval. They are legally required to be held accountable, hence why companies that work with authentication needs to have indemnity insurance to cover this stuff. The BBCE guy fucked it, if your going to verify a product as REAL, you HAVE TO OPEN IT FIRST!
I’m so glad I found this channel.
You should watch the 4 eps dude, the 4th really points to who (probably definitely) made the first box in the first place. Rattle did his homework! ⚡️
Hey I am a very supportive person of other people doing their thing keep up the hard and stay blessed
why were they so happy to be authenticated by sports card people? who had no experience with pokemon?
@Steven Smoley that’s crazy.
@Ben Harding correct. Steve Hart is the lone authenticator of unopened product for both BBCE and PSA.
Apparently BBCE do the booster pack authentication for PSA.
Thank goodness it wasn't My Little Pony TCG. Randy are you planning to stock any GI Joe TCG ? I think it might be a good investment for the future.
Rattle has cemented himself as a Legend in the Pokémon TCG community.
I just imagine the guy who put the gi Joe packs in there laughing his ass off right now
@Chaebean Bak yep..
all the while- humming the Gi theme tune.
its a guy from canada sold it in ebay who was found by pokejew..
it was bought for 72k$ to those jacob and jameel who went
to BBCE to authenticate the seal..
then sold to shyne for 2.7M$..
then was sold to LP for 3.5M$..
@GregTheLion knowing is half the RATTLE.
@David Biagi it coulda just been a random guy who sold it for like 5-10k back in the day. If the case is actually legitimately “aged” then I would guess any stories of the guy that had it before were false. But dunno why he made up a bunch of stories. This coulda been done years and decades ago. It’s nothing new. It’s just getting more common because of how the prices for Pokémon have increased in the past couple years
it's okay to laugh randy. logan makes jokes in these situations on purpose to lighten the mood
He should do an unboxing vid and get that guru back..guess he will still say the bulbasaur is worth $30k lol
he always do
Wow he spent 3.5 million on them. 😂
the authenticator saying 'we were all duped'.... no bro you were. u fooked up
"We were all duped. Can we all agree?" The fact he sought out confirmation from the others shows just how f*cked he knows he is 🤣🤣
Facts credibility down the drain 😭
This actually breaks my heart
Card kuhina and meelypops bought it for 72k off eBay and thought they were just smarter than the entire hobby. They BOTH are sketchy AF Meelypops lawyered up he’s not refunding.
The BBCE guy literally just said the label looked aged so we said it was authentic LOL. Please ensure this guy never gets any more business.
I really don't feel sorry for this dude. Shame he only has 5 boxes
The dude that scammed him probably feeling like a 👑 rn he’s set for life
Those "expert authenticators" must be feeling really dumb right now...
"This case is 100% authentic and no signs of tampering"....Nek minnit.... "We all got duped, agreed?"...
i watched a video by rattle pokemon about a gaming store close to where i live in birmingham being a mail scamming store. turned out he was wrong. never seen an apology video. gutted for logan but he seemed in good spirits. really hope all the scalping and scamming comes to a stop some day.
That’s the authenticaters fault if u can’t actually authenticate something don’t fucking do it
@David Biagi even he said he fucked up after it was open by looking at the box
They authenticated the packaging/seal that it hadn’t been tampered with. Whoever did this was highly educated and very damn good at making it look legit. Even the best of the best graders and Authenticators can be fooled. We are still human and this shows that nothing, even things that have been “authenticated” can ever be 100% verified.
Love the content man
im picturing all my cards that i had when i was a kid that my dad soldfor 99p that are no worth 100k + lol
Calling it now. This is a brilliant prank by Logan to give his LEGITIMATE purchase more publicity.. @ me
Why bbce put up there not authenticating yugioh and pokemon anymore then
The whole video seemed weird to me like the reactions they all seemed staged like when they found out they were gijoe cards
All those "professional authenticator"....all their observation before the opening was pure bullshit.
Their credibility just went out the window.
Why wouldn't they put that box on a scale that weight has to be way off
the lesson is that risk taking and gambling are 2 different things gambling short run or long run always ends this way no matter what
Rattle should be doing authentication not those frauds who did it.
By calling BBCE a "fraud" tells me you are not in the unopened pack hobby.
Logan looked like a fiend in the corner 😭😭
The authenticating party have just ruined their name 😂
Man I wanted to react to this video live. I didn't and then I heard my own voice. This is WILD
A great marketing strategy to increase the hype. Surely thought up by his friend Gary Vee.
when you pay $3.5M.. you have to say
IT IS REAL!!!!
not
IT MIGHT BE REAL!!!
Steve need to find a new job now 😂
Congrats to GI Joe collectors lol
Logan Paul ending his video with the GI Joe theme song was very funny.
He lost 3.5m but at least I got a good belly laugh at that gi joe theme tune at the end
BBCE just lost all their credibility 🤣😱😱
I don’t get it, why is a cardboard box being verified? What value is there in someone being the first to open the cardboard box? Why has it never been opened?
Its because non of the buyers are actual collectors they are all flippers. They buy to then sell on.
just finished his vid, crazy stuff
He shouted you out on his podcast! Legend Randolph!
That's what happens when greed is the only concern you have you get burned 😂😂😂🤡
Worked hard to buy lmao funniest thing uve ever said bud
Wow that must hurt man.
Bbce, authenticated the box though, not the contents. So it looked like the box was legit.. must have been wounded when opening the box 🤔
even Rick , didn't buy the
"Pokeymen" 🤣
I'm gonna repack gi joe packs with pokemon cards and sell them on ebay. Lmao
They gain value over time is why it would be worth more
That Authenticator should be fired, business closed down and sued! They have embarrassed there industry in front of millions of viewers.
oldest trick in the book, make people look at his twitter and instagram to see him advertise his nft collection which just boomed over night
Did his friend"Matt" refund him? Matt seems sketchy said it's really because we went through security checks in philly? Then Matt said the guy who personally sold him the case had many inconsistencies??? Like wtf?
By new things for ace grading, do you mean shipping to the USA?
Twist ending. The GI Joe Cards end up being worth more than 1st Edition Pokemon cards.
Kidding...Kidding. Please don't kill me.
