I enjoyed that summary, i disagree on one or two but not by much. Newcastle should be lower in my opinion because they lost proven Premier league players in Perez and Rondon and replaced with unproven players. And nobody ever even heard of Joelinton so 40 million is a massive gamble.
My only other real problem with this winning the window concept is that you just don't know whether a transfer is successful until they play. Many big names have come here and failed, many have stepped up levels and just couldn't handle it. Maybe they can't stand the culture or just miss home, maybe they can't handle the pace or the incessant pressure. It would be interesting to come back to this idea and do a table in November. By then you will really be able to see who ACTUALLY won the transfer window. If for example Moise Kean has 15 goals or if Mcguire has done a van Dijk, or if conversely someone like Pepe has flopped badly (not saying he will) that would be a truer test of who won the window. Just a thought 😁👍

Silva said in his first match day interview that net spend was 28m and after that Onyekuru was sold for 14m. so Net = 14m

Villa have bought smart though, they bought a bunch of players who were on loan last season, then the other players are from similar clubs, or know each other, so Aston villa have bought smart. Yet Fulham panic bought loads of players

As a spurs fan , i would disagree with the ranking of 1st. Maybe in the top 10 but my opinion the window has been 'ok'. Yes we have improved , yes we have got depth , yes we now have a great central midfield.
However , we still don't have an established top 4 RB and many players are ageing with 1 year left on the contract , and rather than buying replacements , it seems as if spurs are willing to sell them for cheap or run down their contracts. We also don't have a backup ST , which could cost us in those tight games and if /when Kane is injured (Ik parrott, but cmon he is 17 yrs old). Finally the dybala saga, for me that put a dapner on the window. If we'd got him then yes we maybe deserved to be 1st or 2nd but certainly not with the current situation

As a west ham fan I would say we were bit high for me... only reason I say it is because despite a couple of quality signings... I think we needed another holding midfielder, rice can't do it on his own... and jack is not defensive enough, actually think he's overrated but happy to be proven wrong :) but if rice got injured, we have Sanchez who's npt great and noble who is getting on and needs someone with him.. just think that was a crucial position to fill and could cost us this season

I feel like West Ham shouldn't be that high up, because there's one player they needed to sign, which is an athletic midfielder, and they didn't. Despite Declan Rice's quality, he's no N'golo Kante, so he won't be able to cover for Jack Wilshere or Mark Noble's lack of athletic ability, and they also surely can't be putting faith in Jack Wilshere not getting injured, and a 32 year old Mark Noble, to be consistently playing 90 minutes in the prem. Obiang was someone who was good next to Rice, provided a good balance, and now they sold him, so I don't know what West Ham are really thinking there

Chelsea lose hazard but keep Loftus Cheek, Kovacic, Callum Hudson odoi, Mason Mount, and Kurt Zouma (yes even with yesterdays nightmare)... most of which are on new extended deals, yet they are 20th. I thought we’d get at least some credit for that.

"Villa haven't overspent on any one player".
Tyrone Mings at £26m is the very definition of overspending. Bloke's done nothing in his career other than a few solid games at the end of last season in the Championship. No way is he a £26m defender. Couldn't get a look in at what you'd imagine to be a 'rival' to Villa in Bournemouth.
