@Jael Negron He does, i think that's a little unfair to say he doesn't cover stats when he broke down the game and said why the browns struggled breaking down multiple players including Baker, Odell, Jarvis and he even touched on the o-line struggles because they traded away some guys. There's a whole lotta segments he does, for individual topics if your looking for the stats part. But he has segments on different topics that cover everything the sport has to offer including stories about players behaviors and discussing rules. Like if a player doesn't get along with a coach or if some player kicks another player like this past weekend during a browns game. Those are stories in the NFL people would like to hear as well. This topic is a valid topic to discuss. Odell is the first football player I know of wearing a watch on the field. That's odd man. One, it's dangerous for everyone, two, it's against uniform policies, and three why would he want to destroy a 250k watch or whatever the said its worth. Me personally, I see Odell as the type of player to use the watch as a weapon in case a fight breaks out. He's known for being an aggressive player which is more reason to discuss it. But yeah man go look up his other segments where he breaks down stats for the week

Anthony Ha I completely understand and agree. My problem is, Colin is a sports analyst right? So why can’t he talk about sports? Break down his stats, break down his plays and give us your thoughts on his performance. I don’t care about no damn watch man, I want to see how this man performed.

its because young coaches are put into teams that were train wrecks, give them some time. LaFleur walked into a great situation comparatively.

I know as a Browns fan, I am not supposed to agree with Cowherd and maybe he does hold a grudge against the team but I do find myself agreeing with him from time to time.
Excited about OBJ though I am, his ego and personal ambitions do concern me slightly. Saying that, I think those passer rating stats could be misleading. Baker might have been trying to force passes to OBJ because he is the receiver most likely to do something out of the ordinary and get the team back in the game in desperate times.

Why do people think that week 1 is some kind of indication of what teams will be for the entire year? Everybody is rusty and pretty much every game looks sloppy for the first 2 or 3 weeks. It's the same thing every single year but the "experts" are constantly crowning teams after 1 freaking game.

  • Anthony Ha
    Anthony Ha 2 months ago

The NFL is an sports league organization that has referees, rules and standards in place. Yes media covers the sport, so players use that media coverage to leverage their social status by getting air time. Followers, followers followers right. In a typical sporting event when media is not the primary focus but the actual integrity of the game is the focus point, Odell Beckham would have been disqualified from the game until he met the uniform code or simply put, taking the watch off so he can be eligible again. I agree with Colin on this segment on Odell having issues on top of issues he presents to teams. Odells behavior is leading a path where he will be suspended for harming the games image and sanctity.

I'm sorry but this wearing of watches and jewelry by players is completely foreign to me who grew up playing AFL where nothing is allowed and in junior footy the umpires used to come in before the game and we had to line up and have our hands, necks and ears checked then they used to check the studs of our boots for any sharp edges. I can't believe this is allowed especially where they don't want to practice or do practice games or anything else in case they get injured and risk their money but allow jewelry that can injure both the wearer and the person tackling them. Blows me away.

1-6-1 for the rookie boy genius coaches - so I guess we don't count moral victories. Most people picked the Bengals to get crushed by the Seahawks in Seattle, but the Bengals were competitive without their best player and lost by a point when the spread was 9.5. After having missed a field goal and an extra point. Zac Taylor did OK with what he had to work with, even though he didn't get the win. Rookie head coaches are generally on rebuilding teams that were bad enough the year before to get the previous coach fired.

OBJ makes big money, big money, and plays the , poor me game, “I need to wear my bling when playing, what’s the bid deal, Fine me” . How about wearing the uniform and taking your 100.000.00 you don’t need and helping the kids of Cleveland who have nothing . Do something for the poor. Take a knee, do something. Somebody talk to this child. Or release him. Cleveland does not need him.

The Browns were the preseason pick by nearly every talking media head. That got silenced real quick after week one. Of course, now the only thing to talk about is a watch that a player had on during the game. Colin might be the worst of the worst. OBJ is promoting his name, brand and endorsements. Chaos is promotion. Like AB he's creating buzz and personal profits with criticism the cost of doing business. They will create imitators looking to get fired from teams too create early free agency until the NFL catches up with them. For top players it's profits before passion and health before wealth -- planning post NFL income before they sacrifice their bodies and brains to satisfy greedy owners and fans. They'd rather be the lions than the Christians batteling in the Coliseum. NFL contracts are not guaranteed, so players seek guaranteed money elsewhere, willing to "sabotage" their career for the right price.
