How could they? I kind of wish the trackpad lit up kind of like alienware's not crazy about the placement.

Good(ish) review, terrible video. I had to listen at half volume, either Linus is still shouting because he's used to CES or the editor applied a voice amplification filter on which screwed with the audio and made the quality of the audio just terrible. The camera person is also incredibly shakey. I usually like these reviews but this deemed a thumbs down

I might just be transitioning into one of those crotchety old men that doesn't understand new technology but I don't understand the infatuation with thin and light laptops. I don't mind having a laptop with a little more meat to it if it means I can have more battery, or better performance. Of course this is coming from a guy that prefers a textured plastic finish on my laptops (like the old dell laptops and some of the cheaper ones now have) over metal construction as well. So take that with a grain of salt.

i dont understand the appeal of a "gaming laptop", at least not where its taken to this kind of extreme where every other aspect of its design takes sacrifices to the point that its ONLY good for gaming, and even that ONLY at a desk. IMO the best reason to have a laptop that you can run high performance games on is if you spend a significant amount of time traveling, but i think that someone who is frequently traveling would also still want something that is a bit more versatile than this thing, not to mention have better battery life. if you just have a really long commute, aside from wanting better battery life, you'd also probably want something that is usable in your lap, but with the position of that keyboard and no ezel hinge, there doesnt seem to be any good way to stabilize this thing for actual lap use. for everyone else, you can just have a proper desktop setup at home for gaming. can someone please give me an example of a situation where you think having a laptop like this would be ideal?

what is the big deal about the bezel? i understand with desktop monitors, having thin bezels for multimonitor setups, but why on a laptop? what does it get you, aside from limiting your features?

Im surprised that Linus doesn't talk about the fact that keyboard is designed only for right handed people. It is sad that i haven't seen a single tech reviewer talk about the lack of tech support for left handed people.
