Declan Rice Car Clamp Prank!
- Published on Oct 17, 2019
- How does England and West Ham star Declan Rice react when Betway, with the help of Hammers captain Mark Noble, clamp his car and tell him it’s getting towed?
Declan Rice parks up at a studio in Hackney, east London, to film a FIFA 20 content piece with West Ham team-mate Ryan Fredericks.
What neither Rice nor Fredericks know is that, while the FIFA shoot is real, everything else is fake, including the white lines of the car park he has just pulled up in, which we painted on that morning.
The only reason the FIFA shoot is taking place away from the Hammers’ Rush Green training ground is so that Betway can get to Rice’s car. The players have walked - well, driven - into an ambush.
As Rice and Fredericks film inside, an actor hired by Betway to play the role of an officious traffic warden erects ‘No parking without a permit’ signs around the car park and attaches a real-life clamp to Rice’s car wheel. He then waits for Rice to reappear, where he informs the England star that his car is about to be towed away.
Even better, West Ham captain Mark Noble is watching on from inside a blacked-out van just a few metres away. He communicates with the actor through an earpiece, suggesting funny and outrageous things for him to say and do.
How will Rice, a Premier League star, react to having his car clamped by the traffic warden? And, having been pranked by England team-mate Mason Mount in the summer, how will Rice take it when he finds out he’s been the victim of another set-up?
You’ll have to watch the video to find out!
