This is actually a very convenient was to serve corn on the cob. Everything is all in one place and the container can be covered to keep warm. Thanks for your comment and for watching. Margie

Marjorie Vangenewitt It's funny you commented now because I just made it yesterday. I use Old Bay instead of Salt. 😋 yum

This is so nice to do when their are several people. I have never seen anyone ever ask for butter, maybe people will use more salt. I would expect that in my house because I always go light on the salt.

@Angela Dean Thanks so much.I was at a girlfriends house this past weekend, she served corn.I know she did not make it the way I do.It had barely any flavor or sweetness.I did not say anything. I promised myself I would mention something later. but still didn't.I figured it was not that important. I will say something after awhile. Is that weird?Margie

@Andrew Abeles Bye the way square dancing was sooo much fun last night. The caller was great! He used all the plus calls and I was able to do them: Follow your neighbor, relay the Deucy, linear cycle, chase right, to name a few But he didn't call cross fire. It was the Ice Cream social plus it was someone's birthday so there was cake. There were so many things to put on the ice cream that I was reminded of Milk Maids. Thanks for inspiring me to learn to Square Dance. Love you, Margie

@Andrew Abeles Hi Andy...by the way everyone, that is my brother... I did some research on this and could only find that milk helps make the corn less bitter. If I were to make an educated guess I would say it is the lactose (milk sugar) in the milk. Based on my reading, I could have used a couple of cups of milk in the water. I actually found someone that cook in only milk. Doing it that way I would probably not use any sugar. I cooked it based on what our mom used to do. To answer your question, no fat milk would be fine.

Oh yeah! Absolutely try this. This technique is not new. In regard to the sugar. I was just doing some research and probably adding more milk and leaving out the sugar would give the same result. Thanks so much for watching and let me know what you think.Margie

@Lila Arce Thanks for watching and for the compliment. I have always made corn this way and it does make a difference. Only problem is that I eat too much of it. Hope you have a nice weekend also.Margie
