We present different techniques for an improved analysis of risk criteria for cardiovascular diseases. Their initiation and progression depends strongly on the interplay of vascular morphology and hemodynamics. Measured and simulated blood flow data enable a patient-specific risk evaluation and treatment analysis. Analyzing the time-dependent, multiparameter data is time-consuming and affected by visual clutter and occlusions. Thus, several visualization and interactive exploration techniques were developed to offer domain experts an effective data investigation. We present feature-driven analysis methods of hemodynamics, occlusion-free depictions of the vessel morphology and internal blood flow, which also provide an overview as well as advanced visualization and interaction techniques of the multiparameter data. Moreover, an automatic classification process of qualitative flow patterns, which are considered as an indicator of pathologies, is introduced. Our methods are designed and evaluated in collaboration with domain experts who confirmed their usefulness and clinical necessity.
