What other filmmaker should we make a compilation Honest Trailer for?

One: Speak up and join the conversation- we encourage respectful debate.
Two: Respect your community- racism, misogyny, homophobia and hate speech aren’t tolerated.
Three: “Be nice.” - Dalton from Roadhouse

Ngl, this was one of the greatest movie commentaries I've ever seen. Taught me stuff, was funny, never disrespectful, 10/10 imo.
I'm not a Nolan lover though, I just like most of his movies. So maybe hardcore Nolians took it differently.

It's 2018 by the time of this video, and honest trailer are still barking that TDKR is a bad movie and believing that their opinion is the most valid opinion on this planet. Like it or not: TDKR is still among the 100 top rated movies on IMDB, you know why? BECAUSE IT'S REGARDED AS A GREAT MOVIE BY MOST HUMAN BEINGS ON THIS PLANET INCLUDING CRITICS. So you now know where to shove your idiot opinion and barking right?

There's one more little loop in that Nolan theory: you forgot to mention that Edith Piaf was previously played in a biopic by Marion Cotillard, who also played Mal in Inception (and TDNR)... OMG!!!

I never understood anyone's problem with The Dark Knight Rises. Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy is the only version of Batman that stays consistent in terms of world and character. Batman (1989) was good, Returns didn't feel like Batman, Forever was a little ridiculous at times and Batman & Robin was a joke and was filled with stupid puns. The tone with Nolan's trilogy didn't experience that type of change of mood.

Hey what you guys have got against Wall E? Princess Mononoke is my top Miyazaki, easy top 50 for me. And why can't be there a most popular movies list, that's a top list too. Everyone in every channel spending hours on boxoffice records, like that's a valid metric for a movies greatness. Guess what movie is not in the Imdb top 250, Avatar. Still the second highest domestically, And number one worldwide by a large margin. Imdb top 250 certainly shows the lasting power of a movie.

Westworld could be Christopher Nolan show, with all the time jumps, clinical discussions of emotions/humanity, 'big' cinematography, twists etc. which makes me wonder how much of the core of what he is known for is actually him vs. his brother.

  • Mudabbir Ahmed

Oh man I would love to see some day Nolan coming to do an interview or just a chat with SJU team... & see him live react to this trailer & him talking for an hour about all things especially Rises... yes I LOVE Dark Knight Rises; that Post-Apocalyptic superhero War film was awesome, memorable, unique, emotional & thrilling.
History will be kind to it & BvS.
& as a massive Nolan fanboy; I love this Honest Trailer; it was a great video... he’s a great filmmaker.
His biggest strength is that he gives a shit about what he’s doing & I think us fans appreciate that the most... he’s never sleep walking through a movie. Everything is carefully done; even if I had issues with something I appreciate him putting an enormous amount of effort into it.
If some of his idiot fanboys say something it’s not his problem; he doesn’t even have a phone let alone a social media account to even what’s happening.
