    You have some serious skill with your press, I bet making the mini anvil with your new beefier press would make pretty quick work of it. You should get a post vise, so you're not beating up your Wilton when hammering things in it. Great job!

    Do you sell these or any anvils? I’m looking to start blacksmithing and so far bought nothing. What should I buy first? Besides a forge which I think will be propane. Rounding hammer & tongs?

    Hello, my respects. I ask: why does he endorse metals with water and not with oil?

    • Kartikeya Singh
      Kartikeya Singh 11 months ago

      It's an old belief that ice and fire are the best combination.

    • throngcleaver
      throngcleaver 11 months ago

      Certain alloys of steel need to be water quenched, others need to be oil quenched, and yet others can be air quenched.

    to bad you needed a power hammer to make this. would have been more interesting if you did it the old fashion way... might as well post how they fabricate these at the factery by cast.

      @Paul Pinto
      Very good answer sir! I see far too many people with dillusions of what rebound is for and how & why to test for it. A 1" ball bearing at a set height and measure, is the best method I know of.
      I will be spreading the word about your awesome channel!

      TBH, if you have a strong mold, you might be create that anvil without using another anvil. however metal working is hard.
