I think they changed the name from beast wars to beasties in Canada because "Wars" was too violent. My memory of watching it isn't super vivid though.

I think you forget that Megatron actually wants Starscream to lead one day. It's been mentioned many times. Starscream keeps him on his toes and is his scapegoat. Also being an ace scientist Starscream is helpful in schemes to create weapons or exploit energy reserves to make energon. Megatron appreciates ambition, and is millions of years old. Starscream is essentially still growing up.

The design of the transformers in the movies is offensively unmemorable. This colour palette. This overcomplicated design. It hurts my eyes. You can't distinguish any of them from any of the others.

The best version is definitely FoC and WfC universe. Single most powerful firepower - M1 Tachyon Repeater , Thermo Burst Rockets , Nucleon Charge Rifle. And finally has the full command over the other Seekers wich makes him easily one of the greatest incarnations

Great video, you’ve got real nerd cred. Personally as a I kid was always shocked and delighted that this decepticon was willing to shoot his leader in the back. I liked how he was actually pretty powerful in G1 ( next to megatron). Sure he had his share of silly plans that failed but so did megatron ( in fact there were a few times when he would tell Megatron not to do something and Megatron would not take his advice and lose the battle becuase of it.

I found it difficult to tell the difference between the bots in the live action movie. They only have some slight color and height differences to set them apart and in the fray of an action scene you kinda know yellow is bumblebee and red/blue is optimus but otherwise it just came across as bland CGI garbage blandness. With starscream it's made worse by the fact that he's the exact same gunmetal/gray/silver as Megatron and his face is the same weird spiky mouth shit. The designers on the liveaction should feel bad. Dey did bad.

in the comics they actually go into why megatron keeps Starscream around saying he's the perfect decepticon and is his worthy successor, but he lakes one thing that will let his succeed taking his place one he figures that out he will be able to kill his and take his place saying this is the only way people will actually respect and fallow him.

Watching G1 right now, so goofy but better than Michael Bay movie as a kid.
I think kids are not soffisticated nowadays, this is not the correct term they're really ignorents, I'm a drawing teacher and they have a poor knowlege of vocabulary, they don't know some simple terms like what is a "torticolis". I'm not from US, I'm not an English speaker so I'm talking about other countries I do't see them really soffisticated for watch a PC cartoon like SU.

i think it's because megatron appreciates that kind of ruthless aggressive behavior so everyone in the decepticons would also be as ruthless and keep himself a sharp and powerful leader.

Starscream was able to come back as an Energon ghost because he's strong with the Douche Side.
For me the carte blanch aspect got me into the toys. When i was a wee lad a black-trailer Optimus was discovered at an Unclaimed Baggage store and the whining and begging began, but ultimately I only ended up with about half a dozen(most of which i've bought modern homages to. so that's one thing to thank Age of Extinction for), and that was all they ever were to me, really cool toys. I saw The Movie "in college with friends yaknoweh" and I'm glad i did because YOU GOT THE TOUCH, and seeing the Death Star turn into a giant robot is pretty fucking rad. If I'd seen it as a kid it would have definitely gatewayed me into the rest of the franchise, but the only series i've seen all the way through is Prime, which i marathoned with my step-son a few years ago when it was on Netflix, and it sounds like the force was strong with me that day because the only series that gets compared to it is Beast Wars, which i have not seen but may check out one day. It kinda left both of us spoiled for everything else actually, though thankfully you don't have to love the show to love merch. Doesn't help that all the live-action movies are cynical studio products, though i will admit that Michael Bay has a good eye. He would make a great cinematographer or assistant producer. The first time we see the autobots in the first movie it is genuinely epic. Plus Age Of Extinction gave us some ole' Cube-Cab, which is my nostalgic favorite, and i .

IDW did the best version of starscream.
He's dangerous not because he is the strongest or the fastest, but because you know he's gonna fight dirty.
