The score for The Last Jedi was beautiful. I love that John Williams incorporated a chorus in the climactic themes of the film.

cool, probably cool. The cinema industry is now increasingly feeling the underworld with its feet. Since not able to offer something new and cult for decades. Are you giants or losers? Release the video already in 360. Start small. Enter as a standard, a little look (or highlight of the edges), which will indicate much better to watch the viewer (prompter) so as not to miss important moments. Now there are a lot of smartphones with quality screens and gyros. Inserted a smartphone in glasses ($ 10-100), bought your movie through the store (online cinema). And now it's really cool. Or am I wrong?
    sorry for my English

Not even Mr. Willams's genius was enough to save this piece of dreg of a film. Wish there was only John Williams in this video, seeing that Rian Johnson makes one sick to the stomach...

John Williams is by far the best composer in all of cinema. His songs pale in comparison of many films. It isn’t just background music, it’s a part of the movie, and the movie would be incomplete without it. I have 3 of his songs downloaded and I’m not ashamed in the slightest.

John William's music is too repetitive. Change my mind.

    • guystudios
      guystudios 11 months ago

      Z. R. N. Hmm, well that doesn't make his music repetitive, that just makes his body of works more or less stylistically unified. And I slightly disagree - I feel John Williams' style, while quite similar to how is was back in 1977 - has gotten a bit more modern sounding over the years.

    • Z. R. N.
      Z. R. N. 11 months ago

guystudios I could watch Attack of the Clones and TLJ and there would be no difference in the overall feel of the soundtrack.

    • guystudios
      guystudios 11 months ago

      Z. R. N. How is John Williams' music… repetitive? It seems to me rather spontaneous… especially when compared to the "Zimmer" movement that's been sweeping through much of Hollywood over the last ten or so years.

  • Pantheragem
    Pantheragem 11 months ago

Compared to 1-6, 7 and 8's scores are completely buried in the mix. In 7, it's barely there. In 1-6, the scores were characters of their own. Really, they were the stars of the movies.

George Lucas and John Williams.. it's been the most wonderful collaboration and partnership in film history i think in terms of the set of Star Wars Saga!
It almost makes watching Star Wars like a silent film!
You can watch it without any dialogue and totally understand the emotional apex of what's going on simply by John's music!
