So fun story. I was in his court room for an expired registration one time. They call my name and I step up and the judge starts reading "my file" had my name but it listed that I'd been ticketed for old registration 10+ times which was not true. He read them all one by one date after date and he could see me getting more and more scared and finally at the end he goes " do you have any reason you can make to me why I shouldn't permanently suspend your license" and I said sir that's not my file. The whole court room laughed he confirmed my birthday and it was wrong on the file. He then looks at mine for literally one minute and goes " your punishment is the fear I just accidentally put you through, sorry about that sir. Ticket dropped"

He’s such a human and understands that he’s dealing with other humans. He has great boundaries but is always so nice about it. He does mock people back when they think they got one on him. He’s subtle about it 😂
Honestly this clip is so cute, he seems like a genuine Judge and I love that he keeps eye contact and isn’t abrupt or rude. He sees she’s flustered and he handles it well 🥰 also her reaction at the end was adorable tbh

Best judge in the country, he's extremely fair. She had a clean driving record so he only charged her $35 for court costs

Judge Caprio has taken very good care of himself throughout his life because he does not look 85 years old and the fact he still works at that age is absolutely amazing he's also by far the only judge I've seen that has been truly fair to the defendants

No offense meant brother, but I believe this judge is fair as opposed to lenient. If you did it, you’ll get punished but the punishment will fit the infraction *and* your circumstances. That’s what makes him so easy to admire. He wants to teach people respect for the law but he doesn’t want to ruin them in the process. Just my own opinion. No shade to you.

I don’t even know the name of this judge but every time I see him in random vids, he seems like such a fair man. I think every judge should be like him. Fair, honest, and not afraid to put unruliness in his court room to a screeching halt.

My Grandpa was a judge once upon a time. One day in order to make it to his kids’ baseball game (my Dad & uncle) he gave everyone the bare minimum in the court and rushed through every case. Man do I miss that guy.

Oh my gosh it never gets old watching this judge !
Years ago I had a judge similar to him cut me a massive break because he knew the cops were screwing with me. But he took a few minutes to teach me a lesson and gave me the opportunity to essentially walk but if he ever saw me in court again that I'd be sorry. Or I could take probation if there was the slightest chance I hadn't learned my lesson. I learned my lesson and took the walk but wouldn't you know it 15 years later I had to go in front of him again and he remembered me and I didn't get a break again 😆 but I was able to thank him for teaching me a valuable lesson and he told me how the cops hated his previous decision.
Dude this judge is honestly amazing. Like he understands where everyone comes from and if thy got kids or if thy be honest with him he will most likely drop the ticket. 100% love this judge.

But that’s the thing, the law is open to interpretation that’s why Supreme Court justices differ so greatly on their rulings. It’s open to interpretation, so while it might not be common it is by no means erratic or negative in any sense. From the various videos of the judge it really depends on what kind of person you are, if you lie, the severity of crime and if you have outstanding criminal records.
@Henry Livingstone yeah but it's still erratic and goes against conventional law. Alot of judges are like him. They are people persons. I've seen a few like this and they come with pros and cons. If you face a judge like this you better hope he likes you.

Well I wouldn’t really say that the judge’s behavior is “erratic”, unconventional perhaps but not erratic. And if anything he’s compassionate beyond the average judicial representative, which is a good thing.
Sad that the majority of people in higher power or even in his same realm, don't have the integrity, common sense, and companion as this man has.

I worked in a “parking court” Just like this, and so many people would show us the picture of their car, and tell us they were stopped! Even after explaining the concept of photography, they could not figure it out! She did not stop, Lisa stopped her video! It’s a little bit frightening in real life!

This has got to be the coolest, and most fair and compassionate judge on the bench. Stern when necessary and from what I hear he doesn't appreciate when a defendent tries to insult his intelligence or views his kindness as a weakness.

You can't let everyone get away with breaking the law. You guys love to see this judge let guilty people off easy but if she had hit a car and killed a family your tune would've changed.
