“We can spend enormous amounts of our time and energy absorbed in the past- have you noticed that? Just incredible preoccupations about who’s to blame for why it’s like this.” That hit me like a bullseye. That’s exactly what I was doing exactly when he said that.

@einstein disguised as robin hood I was able to start moving forward by letting it be ok for me to praise myself. Affirmation meditations are great. Find one on TheXvid that you enjoy. I tend to notice when someone is speaking and playing a role versus feeling what they say. Your universe is a great channel.

Technology is selfish, life in itself is a game its a game of monopoly a game of survival a game of options so a game of good and evil pick your destination choose which road best fits you, but then it comes down to "why" as in why buy a fake gun instead of a real one, why think about doing something instead of just doing it, why ask questions instead of just finding out for yourself, why run people over in a game and shoot and kill them and rent hookers instead of doing it in real life you obviously in your mind enjoy it or you simply wouldn't act upon it game or not, the desire to be free to live a life of freedom with absolutely zero consequences is what every human in the entire world wants so WHY are we here in this simulated earth taking on the flesh body? Is it possibly boring outside of this simulation? Do we slaughter life living animals with feelings and a conscious mind to devour and eat there flesh because it fulfills our evil side? Why do we base this place on time? Maybe time doesn't exist outside of earth maybe time here is because it's the only time we get.

@Seminol Wind That's your opinion & your personal & spiritual path; the matter of the other's chosen personal & spiritual lifestyle & way of others's not neither mine's, yours, especially yours, nor anyone else to interpreted or judge.

@Seminol Wind 😳 so true and on point! Except, we are not only on times perimeters we are also on time tables in money terms and crunch. These two are both stress factors, that push us as a driving force. You go or you suffer, financially, physically, emotionally and mentality. But it’s your choice to go or stay. Both, time and money are forms of self discipline. You have more or less and at what cost, to you on an individual level.
I would like to gain your permission to quote you, and your message. Because your message touches us through your profound awareness.

Mindfulness is a very powerful tool for healing emotional suffering and for making life come alive by learning to be fully present with each moment of experience, externally or internally. This brings about healing, transformation and liberation.

@Nivia Maeva It takes practice, but we can all learn... It's our natural state of being, we just let life get in the way so much that we forget. Never give up, you'll find a way if it's something you really want 🤍

Trying to be fully present.. does not promote automatically being fully present! KS says it himself re athletes, when he says’ you can’t improve performance by trying to improve performance’.. yet this is exactly what his technique is trying to do with presence. ie it doesn’t necessarily develop presence outside of performing the technique!! Unlike other techniques which do FOSTER the development of self awareness beyond the time spent in the technique itself!

I'd say theres just as much power in non-mindfulness when it comes to meditating. When You can let go of ALL thought and truly get lost in the sub conscious for extended periods of time like 30 to 55 minutes is the money spot, you will start to have more vivid dreams and heal on deep levels during your sleep

Every moment of your life is an opportunity. It is a moment you can embrace. It is a moment you can learn from others misfortunes. It is the essence of who you are. But It is always a choice of who you choose to become. So choose wisely my friend. Each and every moment you live is, knowing the true life giving force of the heart and this light from within. Life is just an accumulation of your life’s moments and the choices only you know how to live with. So live well my friend, live well.

Jon Kabat-Zinn changed my life. I read "Full Catastrophe Living" many years ago but back then I was in my early thirties and really hadn't lived. Now that I'm 60 and have experienced pain and loss and am living with a job that is stressful to the max, I decided to reread the book and it was mind-blowing. I felt he understood every bit of what I have been going through. Just feeling understood was a big thing, but the practices he outlines are incredibly helpful. I urge everyone to read this book.

It's a wonderful blessing we all should be taught, even before learning our ABCs in grade school. Yes, better late (to learn this) than never, but it saddens me to no avail such valuable information has long been withheld from the masses, knowing full well the "elite" have always known the true, full incredible potential and power of the human brain and the amazing, life changing effects mindfulness has on the entirety of our lives. So grateful to be living in a time when these things are becoming more commonplace. Folks like myself, who've been ridiculed for "new age" thinking (as they'd call this practice back in the day) for far too long, are thrilled this is now commonplace. Mindfulness is essential for the planet, along with every single one of us who are blessed to currently be inhabiting her. The practice has us focusing on the present moment and if everyone were to do this, there would inevitably be nothing but gratitude and compassion for one another. Gratitude, compassion and unconditional love are essential. They make the world go round.

Even if there is no intention of practicing any of this, it's good to be reminded that much of what we think about, fear, dread, or ponder we can do nothing about. The past and future are things of which we have no control. How settling it is that the only thing we have is now.

Mindfulness and meditation can make a huge difference over time in helping recovery from traumatic history. You can learn, as I have, to become more centered in the peace of the present moment rather than in the trauma of the past or the fear of the future. I use these Eastern tools alongside Western tools of talk therapy and psychiatric meds. There are many instructive videos for free from many teachers on TheXvid. Wishing you all the best for healthy healing. You deserve it. All we have is the present moment.

I enjoyed this talk so much. When it started I was waiting until my hands were free from taking my Christmas tree down so I can turn it off since it was a suggested video (Not one I chose), and play something else. Because I was so entrenched in the task I let the video play. And my goodness, I'm so glad I did!
It made me more mindful, which made me enjoy the experience more. And when my tree was completely down, looking up at the now empty and blank space in my living room, I felt an overwhelming sadness. I initially planned to leave my tree up year-around and decorate it seasonally. However, I had an impulse to take it down...so I did.
After spending an hour or so putting ornaments away, while still listening to this video and practicing mindfulness, I was present to a thought, "You love this tree, put it back up." "But it would take so long..." the next thought came about.
Using mindfulness, I gently walk over to where my white tree lay in my living room floor, bare and and in three pieces, put it back together, add the lights and once again, decorate it to my hearts content.
Because I was using mindfulness and only focusing on redecorating my tree, and not trying to multi-task, I got done quickly. And, I didn't feel any Irritatation or need to hurry -- only deep and profound joy, gratitude and presence.
Thank you for sharing! The timing if this suggested video couldn't have been more perfect.

It's definitely about the message of my NDE. It's an important message to hear that all of us will have to stand before the JUDGEMENT of our life results. It's not possible to change anything for the better, then! It's only possible if you decide to FORGIVE and do it. That's powerful even in ETERNITY. We can only change our life results for the better through forgiving others.
It's shining the light you offer to a toxic situation, towards others and yourself at the same time!!!

    I used to hear voices.
I wasn’t a Christian at the time when they first started, but the evil things the voices said scared me and sent me running for God!
I purchased a Bible and began to meditate on scripture. Psalm 8:2 promises God will silence the enemy and the avenger.
John 10:27 says “My sheep hear My voice.”
I wrote down the scripture and every time I heard the voices I would take the scripture out of my pocket and say “it is written ...” and quote the scripture. Soon after doing that over & over, I had memorized the scripture.
It didn’t happen over night, but He did silence the voices for me! I do not take medication and do not hear them anymore! Praise God!!
The Bible is full of God’s promises and I know if He’d silence them for me, He’d do it for others.
I am trying to reach the desperate. The ones who are suicidal while taking medication. This happened to my daughter! Don’t give up! There is hope.
    Seek God. ♥️

I hope you're well and have a wonderful day today. It's beautiful outside today and I'm sure grateful for the sunshiny day.

Furthermore, hearing voices may be caused by physiological factors, in which case they cannot be simply erased by studying a book or a set of beliefs, but a more complex and holistic approach. Professional medical consultation should be advised.

Please understand that some medication, especially those for psychiatric disorders, have a side effect of suicidal tendencies. In such cases, individuals need to seek medical attention at the first point of call. A change or cease in medication may be required, and this should be guided by a medical professional.

Yes indeed lets all be as alive as we can when we can -
and by the way it has been taught in the 70 s and 80 s in schools in Sweeden and Denmark. I learned it from observing my grandmother who was a life taught Master in being totally aware, and loving in every moment in her life untill she died - and I started wondering Why most grown ups seemed to be very worried all the time of everything that could happen and I even did a PhD on the bodymind arts in 1991 and started teaching it in physical teacher Education

The Cadillac of mindfulness teachers is JK-Z. Thank you for bringing mindfulness to medicine in 1979 in the MBSR. I've studied you and mindfuless for almost 2 decades. Did a thesis and a dissertation studying people being mindful. Here's part of what I discovered.
Mindfulness is an experience, not a behavior. There is no doing mindfulness; only being mindfulness. Cues in the environment help us to remember to be.

I've been prescribed meds for cholesterol, asthma, anxiety, & acid reflux, which I rarely ever took. Instead, I decided to correct/heal all of those conditions through diet, meditation, & exercise. Sadly, my brother was diagnosed w/acid reflux at the same time I was but is still on his medication 12 yrs later. He's like most people, & simply too lazy to take responsibility for his own health. But isn't that the perfect patient? Because the medical establishment makes a lot more money off of him than it does me. Hence the prevailing paradigm of "Better Living Through Chemistry."

@Mardi Shores yes that is a very good point, so true & a very real part of the problem (for a lot of people) that we somehow failed to touch on, The real illness of depression is much more incapacitating and life stealing than a normal case of grieving a death or lost relationship, more than being very sad and listless for a week or so. Real depression is like being a skipping record, stuck in a loop of obsessively hopeless negative thoughts, with your brain lying to you constantly about yourself, your worth to those who love you, or that anyone loves you at all. It's like finding yourself suddenly underneath 1000 cement bricks & feeling unable to even think how you could lift just one of them off of you. It makes it extremely hard to even keep your thoughts in a positive direction so you can muster up the will and strength to start helping yourself. If you feel stuck like that, numb, shut down, for more than a few days, talk to someone about it who is close to you, anyone you think might help you figure out what steps you can take to find your way back up from it. If you just stay inside, isolated too long, your body will just shut down more. We need movement of our muscles daily to make our lymph fluid circulate and beat back inflammation in our bodies and we need sunlight each day ( 2 to 3 hours worth) to make enough d3. If you don't have enough d3, you'll feel lousy, listless, achy, and your body can't use calcium right without enough d3 from the sunlight, so calcium deficiency will make you yet sicker.,
Fight the desire to just give up and lay there because this is your one life and you can get better if you decide to fight for YOU ! Ask for help, go see a dr. or psychologist , get a good check up, many illnesses can look and feel like depression. Try just 2 things at first ; either a daily short walk, try no sugar in what you are eating for one week to see how sugar affects you, cut out all carbs for a week, drink 3 to 4 glasses a day of quality water, get on facebook groups and talk and read, you may stumble on a clue or take to sitting on the porch or in a park a while each day. call crisis or help lines if you feel you need or want to, they can often offer helpful steps you can take or set you up with a dr appointment.. If it turns out there is a medicine that a dr. feels will help you turn a corner and get better, take it.
Do not just accept it and fade away, from your life, fight back as you would if you had cancer....but fight for you !!.

If you are conceptualizing the sound of the bell there is the sound of the bell from over there, and then there is you hearing it. Without conceptualizing, there is no separation; you don't put any labels on your raw experience, just be it as it is happening. It is almost a form of participation :)

I'm new to this concept, and struggling to find a way to make it work for me. I spent my youth not doing anything, just 'being', and avoiding stress. As a result, only started "getting my life together" in my late thirties, and now in my late forties, I'm paying for it. I didn't learn to deal with stress, spent time avoiding, and now, while I do plan and watch every step in life, I'm constantly stressed. Finances, future, uncertainty. Not sure how to find the middle ground.
