Even though I'm not a fan of season 3, s1 & 2 left such an amazing impression on me that I'll always feel enthusiastic & optimistic about new Westworld episodes!

Same, first both seasons were too good compared to what we encountered in s3
I only liked the season 1. The season 2 was disapoiting because the scenario was too complex.
If they could find a way to bring Anthony Hopkins back it would be such an amazing treat. He and Ed Harris made S1 the masterpiece that it was.
I'm sure he will return. He hinted when Bernard erased him he will see him again. I could see him return and then have his mind uploaded to a younger host body. But Anthony Hopkins is very old and I'm sure he doesn't want to commit too much to a show that could run for years yet.
I would like it, but I don’t think they will. He would have to be brought back as a Host. This would call into question his scene at the end of Season 1. The writers have already stated Ford was not a Host. Also, when was the last time we saw Sir Anthony as Ford, 2017? He is one of the greatest actors alive, without a doubt, but he was born in 1936, I believe, which means in just 14 years he would reach his first full century alive on this earth. He’s going to have to take a break if he wants to go out honorably. All the great ones, which he is one, know they have to quit when they are just a little bit ahead of the game. To bring Ford back now would be an extremely calculated risk.

Between the complexity of the story and the long gaps between seasons, I can’t even remember what the upcoming stakes will be for this season. All that being said I’ll definitely be tuning in once June rolls around.

Cinematography and visual effects are topp quality for sure, and the music too.
But for me where the show is *realy unique* is in its the layer upon layers of deepening plots and mysteries... treads and storylines in timelines that connect in so freaking many interesting but not obvious ways. You can wach it ower and ower and still finde new detailes you dident contemplate the last time, and spend more time thinking about stuff that has to be going on in this world for things to make sense (specialy in connection to earlyer hinted at timelines and so on.. far into the future..)
Its an onion of mystery, packed in a riddle, baked in an enigma.. and it spawnd the unoffichal title : Puzzle TV And I Love it!
This trailer alone is a masterpiece. The next season can’t come soon enough.

I was starting to wonder if it was ever coming back. I loved season 2 just as much as the first. I thought the last two episodes of season 3 were great, but the rest of the season felt like they were filming random ideas until they could figure out what they wanted to do with the show.

They really didn't leave a lot of room open to expand the story so I know it must have been a challenge for them to write a new story off of the plot lines they finished up in the last season. Season 3 only had a weak ending, everything leading up to it was awesome though. Other than season’s 3 ending, this show has been phenomenal. I thought it was going to fill the hole that Game of Thrones left, instead Westworld has carved its own unique place in my heart and I can’t wait to see where this season goes. I have a feeling this will be the penultimate season or even the last.

This is awesome! Westworld for me is the best science fiction TV show ever made (and yes, this is coming from an ardent Star Trek, X-Files and Stranger Things fan). The writing, acting, and themes that get get explored are next-level stuff. Can’t wait for Season 4.
@M G it’s been a while but yep. I agree, it was pretty good, especially for its time. In terms of the Michael Crichton book-based films, I’d rank it just behind Jurassic Park and The Andromeda Strain.

I watched the first 2 seasons over and over, about a dozen times each, but I only watched season 3 once and I feel a little lost now. I will have to rewatch season 3 again as soon as possible. This does look great and I'm excited to see everyone again!

A masterpiece show.
I rewatched Season 3 lately... and there's a lot of small details to appreciate. They made such a high benchmark with season 1 its impossible to live up to it but I believe Season 3 is well up there with most TV shows tbh

I kind of hope this is the last season. I did like Season 3, or at least the last two episodes. But it was starting to feel like they were struggling to find ways to keep the show going. I'd rather have one more season with a strong, concise plot and a satisfying end than several more years of them burning through every idea trying to prolong the show.
I was currently watching reactions of the first 2 seasons to refresh myself without watching the entire episodes and was going to finally finish s3 this weekend. I had no idea there was going to be a s4. What a coincidence.

There's gonna be a moment while watching this season, when some instrumental classic rock song creeps in the background and you... listening in, recognizing it and you will know that HBO max's plan has paid off.
When I've discovered and watched Season 1 of this show it literally changed my perception of how great a show can be when the execution and direction are top notch. Never seen anything like it.

I would've thought S3 was anything but "bland". It went in whole new crazy directions! The whole jumping off the cliff thing? Escaping to the real world?
My complaint was more to do with the direction of the plot and development of the characters. Not to mention the whole 'every male is either evil, corrupt or weak while every female is either super strong or a victim' thing ...
And about that - why were the hosts built like super-soldiers in the first place? Able to outgun and out-wit every highly trained, heavily armed, bullet-proof wearing security guard single-handedly?

@Ayushi Ghosh Season 2 was narratively convoluted because they played TOO much with different timelines to hide the endgame (awakened hosts escaping to the Valley Beyond, Delores escaping Westworld park and into the real world, Delos destroying all the rebellious hosts, Delos copying the consciousness of all the parks' guests as part of Season 3 Rehoboam's controlling the destinies of ALL humans).
S3 was actually a very complex narrative that was told quite well. Nothing will compare with S1, because Hopkins brought an unmatched philosophical tone to each scene, even when he's not on camera).
S1 is a masterpiece. S2 is pretty good too, and gives a great story to William and Dolores being bullet proof .
S3 was rushed due to covid so looks bland compared to s1 and s2.

I was thinking season 3 would be the last season seeing how it ended, I was not expecting this show to come back on, I’m now shocked and excited.
rumor was that at initial negotiations, before season1, they wanted to do a 5 season story arc. so I expect 5.

for the confused on how Dolores can be back. for s2 and s3 we actiually followed dolores infused with Wyett . Even Halores is closer to the origynal naïve Dolores.

Finally I continued and I really liked the 2 (especially the line of the Delos family), and I completely loved the season 3!
I love Westerns but this series is more gifted for talks about Sci-Fi dystopian and anticipation. The series gets better every season!
