Basically coyote is what ur talking about
lol you be like (:) what?
r/oddlyterrifying
What the snail here mumhmemyehuemeueh
Me: *internal screaming*
“The Purple Sea Star” who ever named that clearly had a stroke of creativity
it isn't actually called that... They are only sometimes purple, also orange and red. The real name for this species is "ochre sea star", hence the species name and the fact that is isn't "purpureus" or something.
Ok
Technically it’s a purple ochre starfish
that name reminds me of star platinum and idk why💀
Imagine if that sea star was pink
It's nice to see how he handles the critters gently and makes sure to release them before too long.
Oh my gosh- I caught a sea star that looked EXACTLY like that when I was seven, and had no idea until now that it was that special!
Stop the cap
I'm 37
@Sue Smith well you’re 2
@Sue Smith a kid-bullyer (my school calls the bully "kid-bullyer")
Wooow
Coypte: fiding a sea lemon is a sign of good luck
Also Coyote: finds a Giant Starfish And a Huge Gumboot
@ROBUX YES robux try looking up the scientific name for pig
@Matthew McCann ohhh i get it at the end it has sus
@Matthew McCann wdym
thanks for spelling coyote right on the second line :D
Hello purple guy i just finish watching 85 ep of fnaf
"Does it smell like a lemon?"
"Good question." *sniffs the slug* "Nope, it smells like a slug."
This is the kind of groundbreaking information I look for in Brave Wilderness.
So profound, Coyote
@RK SMIT Minecraft has beds
@꧁yarinda꧂ minecraft is bad😜
@RK SMIT your bed is wordy and hard to read
@꧁yarinda꧂ your bed
i love how he tells facts about each and every animal he finds and not just show us the animals and be silent.
“Does it smell like a lemon?”
“Good question” *sniffs sea lemon* “no it smells like a slug”
No way
Brb gonna go out pick up a slug and smell it
EDIT - It smells like air after a rain lmao
The hell does a slug smell like
im laughing so hard rn
eeeee
- -v- -
Me: afraid of reaching into a crevice in between two boxes in my garage (due to my arachinaphobia)
Coyote: Ooh, whats that *reaches hand into crevice of rocks in a murky tidepool with hermit crabs, barnacles, and slithery fish*
I wish he had a 40 min video where we went around this place seeing marine creatures and explaining them
Coyote doesn’t even care that his socks are wet. -HE DOESN’T CARE ABOUT HIS PAIN-
The ultimate madlad indeed.
@Jamie Szwed shush
@Critdlt shush
@Spaghet shush
@Shmeep r/wooosh
-pain is irrelevant knowledge is strength-
Coyote really lives my dream. Walking around in the nature and finding rare animals. It's my life's dream. I mean... beside the biting and stinging stuff 😂
The thumbnail for this video never gets old. The Gumboot does look like kind of like Pac Man
This dude made me addicted to flipping rocks in tide pools and finding creatures in them
It looks like a orange peel that’s been left out for a few days 😂
man i wish coyote was my biology teacher...
Facts!!!!😁
@Saik HAHAHA
Knowledgeable things
His biology wil give me some knowledgeable
Me too i want to be an animal researcher as an kid
3:45 Nope it smells like a slug.
I love how his reaction means that that specific sentence wasn’t even a joke
Gumboot sounds like an item in an RPG that let's you walk on walls or ceilings
Me: looks under rocks before putting my hand in their.
Coyote: shoves hand all the way down like hmm wats down here
coyote always makes me happy even when im sad
I love that he’s very gentle with the animals instead of just grabbing him right away he slowly approaches it
David Rayment r/ItsWooooshWith4osNot6
@Thiccandsexygorilla relax bruh
cookieking _10 lol that response 😂😂
cookieking _10 you really don’t actually
Spiders cemtipedes and snakes when accedently encounterd he fastly approaches it lol
This guy is sick! Love your content
Coyote: *I’ll give you guys one guess to figure out what this is.*
Mario/Cameraman: *Grape*
Coyote: *Close but it’s a purple sea star*
Me: *Aren’t grapes purple?*
I can tell it’s a Prikleback because of the way it is! Look how NEAT nature is!
Fun video, my kid and I really enjoyed it. One small correction to the sea lemon: the antennae-like structures at the anterior end are called rhinophores and are chemosensory. The flowery projection at the posterior end is their gills (not a chemosensory structure).
Sees some creepy eel thing
Picks it up immediately without thinking what it may do
I found a purple sea star once. The tide was low, and I was looking in a deep crevice of a rock exposed by tide,and we found two chillin in there.
Coyote: "LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THIS SEA STAR! AND ITS PURPLE!"
Me: *"That do be lookin’ like Patrick took a sea tan."*
Edit: Yes I know Patrick is a star fish, not a sea star
@Lonely Brat yeah, starfish and sea stars are the same
Isn't star fish just the innacurate name for sea star?
Even though the sea lemon's pretty much just a blob, for some reason it looks unreasonably cute.
Any wierd and harmful animals: People wont come near us
Coyote: Ima gonna grab you
“wierd”
@SIMPLYYHATTIEE #roadto300 okay, Sherlock
Among Us Super Q Play Store Q pies son Pipo Lykke Li change You Have
It's cool video isn't it
@ShaYnn hey hey hey
“This is the droid we’re looking for” - Coyote
"It's just us, and the island!" he says while there's two houses behind him
Never underestimate how weird some animals can be. XD
If it feels like he's repeating himself, I bet there are a lot of creatures that unfortunately didn't make the cut. If he had decided not to feature the sea lemon, then we wouldn't have the quick factoid that these are molluscs, related to snails and slugs. I think that's a very good quick introduction (though molluscs also include clams, squids, and octopi, that sorta slimy stuff both with and without shells) and the video would be a little lesser without it, compared to with it multiple times.
Imagine a giant just going around, gently grabbing you, explain a bunch of your biology to his friend then just...put you back down
Ok
Lol
Ööm
Öom
Öooooooooooook
Coyote at the beach: Wow! What a rare animal!
Me at the beach: Wow! Another broken shell!
14:21-14:23
Coyote: *"It feels like an elephant, or Rhinoceros skin."*
The half of us who never felt Rhino or Elephant skin before 👁️👄👁️🖐️
That sea star isn't THAT big... I see them all the time and I even caught one on a rod and real as a kid when I was fishing for rock fish. Bait must have been on the bottom allowing the star to swallow it.
I love when he pretends to look around before finding his major animal of the video
Coyote: "it's a gumboot"
Me: "what's a gumboot?"
Coyote: "it's a chiton"
Me: "dafuq's a chiton"
I just heard of a chiton today and then i happened to come across this video. Btw sea stars prey on chitons
@HypeJoey imma
@HypeJoey nvm I'm now traumatized
@HypeJoey I don't get the joke actually.
Ikr
I love how the animals he finds he aren’t deadly or dangerous they are just little cuties who just vibe
Y E S
I spent all of my summers growing up at a mobile home on camano island. I really miss that place. I used to see starfish like 5 times that size in our crab traps.
Coyote: Feels like rhinocerus skin
everyone else: oh yeah sure thing boss
The way he explains everything is so interesting
Honestly Coyote needs his own show on either animal planet or travel channel
yea
I agree he’s actually great😊👍🏻
@RidoMeyer Famous*
Honestly don't think they'd pay him even close to what TheXvid does
Nah bro, make that National Geographic
Coyote: "It feels like elephant or rhino skin"
Me in my head: I dunno what an elephant or a rhino feels like coyote...
Coyote: it's about the size of my face
purple sea star: attaches on like a Facehugger
Sea lemons aren’t that common around here (I live just north of this area) but he picks the purple sea star as his feature creature? Those things are a dime a dozen and considered pests, they get into the oyster beds and do a lot of damage. The gumboot chiton is kinda cool, but the sea star? C’mon.
This is the perfect place to explore
*Coyote introducing sea lemons*
Cameraman: does it smell like a lemon?
ツ
Does it taste like a lemon
It tastes like a lemon
I don’t think that nudbirachs smell like lemons lol
Wow that purple starfish is so beautiful ❤️
Imagine being in your house and a giant hand reaches in and grabs you, stares at you, and then puts you back 🤣
Imagine how he survived many things
Coyote: it’s just us and
the island
Me: I see someone in the back Also me: 😂🤣
Coyote: This Gumboot is actually edible for humans
Gumboot: D:
I love too consume boots (not actually this is a joke)
@Denise Spillman LEMONADE NOW WITH 55% MORE SEAWATER
gum
gum. boot
Coyote: woah it’s a sea lemon
Cameraman thinking in his head: nah that’s a slug bro
Cameraman: "What is that?!"
Coyote Peterson: "It's a gumboot!"
Me: "Okay, but is it related to snails and/or slugs???"
I watched coyote Peterson everyday it's like the best show ever I watch it literally all day
My mom has a house on the water 5 minutes from here and I've never seen one of those eel looking fish before.
Me: has never seen any of these animals any time any where
Coyote: Identifys every animal perfectly and knows everything about them
Isn’t this comment stolen the first and top comment?
Leonidas Anthony she’s talking that she has never seen those animals before (or he) while coyote knows everything about them
@Alya Malika why the r/woosh
MGD playzzz that’s not a high iq
They will research the animals they might find depending on where they go
this guy taught me more than my science teacher
Coyote: * tries to grab black chiton *
Also coyote: “it’s really... suctioned on...”
Also also coyote: * rips chiton in half *
Seeing the Purple Sea Star makes the line where Patrick in the movie says “I love being purple” take on another meaning
What does a chiton feel like?
Coyote: like a elephant or a rhino
Ah yes, just like the Northern Norwegian Snow Elephant and White Ice Rhino, thanks for the very relatable comparison :D
Cameramen: "Does It smell like a lemon?"
Coyote: "Good question"
yesn't
Rainbow is a good game but. Do not have any gas company so I don’t know if I can do that
Cameraman: does it taste like Lemon.
Coyote: having a seizure.
@Mushan Wong nah
Btw the cameraman’s name is either mark or Mario there are 2
i live in washington and when he saw the purple starfish and said how big it was i was un impressed usually people get exited when the find a small starfish in washington that is one of the most common starfish in my state
Sea lemons are adorable 🥰
My man caught Patrick the sea star in his “gumboot” house.
"It feels like an elephant or a rhinoceros."
ah yes i definitely know how that feels. :D
Am I the only one who thinks “sea lemon” is a really cute name??
Well, depends on how you look at it.
@Serena Patterson haha ikr
Nope. Check your replies and see.
No you are not
@Axolotlgamingwashere ik I mean idk why it’s leg hairs I don’t even remember changing it to that ;-;
Did anyone notice when he picked up the prickleback a spider also crawled out
You’re a legend for doing all of these you’re like a God you never died from stings
"It is just us and the island"
Man on boat behind him
prickleback: yay lets continue my break from the ocean that has only lasted 1 minute him: releases it back to ocean prickleback:awww break times over :(
first sea cucumbers, now sea lemons? now im waiting for sea apples and sea oranges
Sea water lemon sea raspberry?
Hahahahah XD
Sea picle
@The Leader Of the Lizardmen. And sea pineapples
Sea mangos
I would like to imagine its enemy would be jellyfishes, since they look like the ghosts from Pac-man.
Ohh looking at this video I can appreciate how Mother Nature is truly beautiful even though they are creepy slippery slimey animals
*Finds possible venomous animal*
Coyote: Ima touch it :D
Whenever I see the sea star it reminds me of that one Spongebob creepypasta where patrick turns into an actual sea star
Coyote: *dosent care about touching Creepy animals*
Me: *Scared of seaweed touching me*
Edit: One time I touched sea weed and a crab pinched me, and then I stepped on a little fish
LMAO
@Unused acc soy
Bruh
@Sasi Siri dunot hangc yur nmea
ples
@Unused acc bruh why?
My favorite place to go is a tide pool because I love all the creatures 🐚
"What type of sea star is this? Can you guess?"
Me: thanos the star
*how does coyote know all this stuff exactly?*
This should be an official documentary on TV
Honestly Coyote Peterson is a role model to me, he makes me not want to be afraid of wild animals, sea creatures, or insects. Bravest man I know
Jesus Garza only in Texas. We don't have flying cockroaches
marsh mallow its not like he's telling kids to go out and find these creatures and pick them up or play with them. And as you can see their not dangerous
Shamara Tv make sure to look for blue ringed octupos
Shamara Tv ya hes a role model he teaches kids to go into wild and pick up damgerous animals xD and get stung
Jesus Garza friendly
Coyote : I'm not scared about touching the creepiest animals
Me : scared about to touching the lizard
That gumboot is seriously primordial! Like its still living beneath the ancient primordial soup!
Coyote :let’s try to find the giant gumboot
Mark: gum what?
Coyote from far away: Gum BOOT KYTON!
😂
I thought the fish was an eel and when I found out I actually apologised to Kyotie
Coyote: look at that!
Me: that’s mud
The thing: stars moving
Me: help
**slowly sinks into couch**
Iowa • a good pun isn’t obvious. You are supposed to get it subtly and laugh about it later.
@Jose he learn first if he dont he prob will already died
😂😂😂😂😂
Ikr
I seen my first wild sea star in San Francisco. Huge purple, orange, and yellow variants.
Who else saw the crab behind the sea lemon at 4:44
"Pac-Man of the Sea.." As opposed to the pack-man of the land.
10:54 whoa thats the biggest Star fish i ever seen- 😲
This guy is good. He respects the animals, and teaches us the information in a hands on, interesting way
Coyote: That's a gumboot
Me: No, that's Pac-Man
When I was 8 years old my family went to hawaii and we found a big sea star. But me and my little brother didn’t know that sea stars were alive and for some reason our parents let us take it home. It was still damp when we got home and so we put it out to dry in a bucket and it like bled to death or something. It was horrible. I think my mom ended up throwing it away bc the smell. 😭😭😭
10:54-11:07
geez what wise words coyote.
Pacman starts at 13:40. You're welcome :)
3:45 "it smells like a slug"
So... what does a slug smell like?
