I’m a United fan but Liverpool fans were heroes that day. The death toll would have been much greater if they didn’t do what they did. Also without medical training and with the interference of the police. No matter the rivalry between us that day was above anything like that.

It’s not proper football now anyway. Being able to stand on the terraces with your mates and sing your heart out for your team. Pay on the gate. Hordes of United fans everywhere. To me it’s a joke now. No atmosphere, no tackling, VAR rubbish. I haven’t been to Old Trafford since 2001. Because of that. It just depresses me now. Most of the players have no idea about the rivalry. Just there for the pay packet.

Great rivalry. But there is a table Man Utd likely never can challenge LFC in. At least not for the next 100 years. Merge 1. div and PL. 1. Liverpool 2. Arsenal 3. Everton and if I remember it right Man Utd is 4th Leeds #20.

Since many mancity fans didn't like being mentioned by me, just show how they can't handle the banter considered they is a top team now, every big team need big rival like Real v Barca, River V Boca etc etc, so its hard to say it but we respect united more than city as our rival,
And as our rival we are happy that united become midtable team and soon we will be have more leagues title than you 😉
    Up the Reds!

The Mancs moaning about the money Liverpool charged for the goods coming into the docks in Liverpool , how much did the ship canal cost to build ? probably way more than it cost of the stock coming into the docs lol and now , it's useless except for putting bars next to in the city and it always looks nice , to have a river port or canal in your city ...but Liverpool x 6 European cups and European power house and Euro royalty the Mancs 20 titles , oh well it goes on. and it's hard to believe United played in a lower division ? not really, you play like your in one now lol. only one team can do a treble , yes Liverpool were the first league cup , league title and European cup ... the bloke at the end talking about the disasters was excellent RIP the 96's and Munich . the last Manc to talk on it yes totally agree with what he say's.

As a lifelong fan of the game I have the utmost respect for Utd, their history and their passionate supporters. Outside of England, however, because of their dominance in the 90s Utd picked up a lot of what I can only describe as ''fake'' fans. It was that ignorance compounded by arrogance that fans of other clubs had to contend with that made us hate them so much more than any other team.

This kind of reportage is redundant nowadays. English football is nothing less than European football which is nothing less than African/Asian football. Most, if not all, modern players don't originate from either Manchester or Liverpool. How can it be a rivalry? Yes, it's a big commercial football game that makes money, but it has nothing to do with tradition or rivalry. Diversity has destroyed national and community pride and all the traditions that go with it.
