Yep. Elisa Hansen. And in case you didn't know, she and Paw (Paul Schuler, aka PawDugan) were really in love here and got married a few months after this episode first aired in 2013. They have one child.

All I’m saying is, you can tell that Hugh Jackman (and Anne Hathaway to be fair) is one of the few who actually performs in broadway himself. No offence to the others but it’s obvious he’s the best performer.

funny enough...with everything they cut from Valjean turning his life around to becoming mayor. the skipped 9 years after he gets his adoptive daughter Gazette.THEN the final part where the revolution takes place. stuff like that could have been used in 3 separate movies, instead of cramming it all into one movie about as cluttered as...well...the film already is!
hey, dont judge. Critic has time to think up his jokes. I just thought of mine on the spot...for a...3 year old...video...huh.

Your dead to me critic colm Wilkinson is a treasure.
But in all seriousness the male singers all did horrendous, it was too dark too close to faces, the ladies sang great. Bonham-carter/Cohen really played those characters well they touched a bit into how awful they truly were.
Overall I really wanted this movie made and it failed my expectations miserably

43:43 - How can anyone not like Toy Story 3?! It had a great storyline and solid ending. Such a good ending in fact that, it should’ve been the final installment. It was the perfect conclusion. But no, what would’ve been a great end to a great trilogy gets tainted by a pointless storyline in the 4th installment.

Like any musical adaptation, it had its pros and cons. At the end especially, is one of the pros for me. In the play, Cosette and Marius (who in the book actually courted for over a year), although they had a rushed relationship, actually seemed to have chemistry, especially when Cosette witnessed her father passing away and Marius had to hold her back and hug her. On stage, they always seemed cold and distant to me for some reason. And that the bishop was there to greet Valjean into heaven rather than Eponine. When Eponine and Fantine greet him, it gives an air that it was because he saved the loves of their lives and was forgiven of sins. When its Fantine and the bishop, it's the two people who led him in the direction to where he was able to get to heaven and had a better life on Earth.

So I guess to me, that is something good to pull out of the mess.

I'd like to make a quick but most likely unpopular opinion. Um...Russell Crowe has the best singing in this movie. That's saying a lot considering EVERY BEAT OF DIALOGUE IS IN SONG. When he's singing, he's awesome! When he's speaking, he's still...pretty good. BUt everyone else is reversed. Their singing sounds stilted and awkward, but spoken lines flow perfectly.

You know how I'd do this film? Simple: I'd pull a Peter Jackson on it, and split the three main parts of the book into three films. I'd take the three acts of this film, take the in-between material left in the book, and make three musical films from it with new songs from the wroters of the original musical, filming one movie after another; a Les Miserables musical trilogy, with maybe a film release every few months to a year.

"In a time of rape and murder, bread-stealing will not be tolerated!"
It really wasn't in pre-revolutionary France. Bread, especially good bread was considered a symbol of status and high society. Stealing good bread was like stealing money to the French.

Fun Fact: The scenes with Jean Valjean and the Bishop didn't exist in the original French production. The musical initially began with the At the End of the Day song. Valjean's past as a criminal and why he broke his parole was revealed in a longer version of Who Am I. Even the recording of the London production lists it as a Prologue.
