  • Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth, the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled by the power-hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic people -- and then the surface world. Standing in his way is Aquaman, Orm's half-human, half-Atlantean brother and true heir to the throne. With help from royal counselor Vulko, Aquaman must retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlan and embrace his destiny as protector of the deep.

To see the Kraken guard Atlan and his Trident for thousands of years just goes to show that they were close friends.
They said that king Atlan banished the Kraken to the depths of the ocean. But
I like to believe that Atlan asked her to protect the trident for the next king to arrive. And the whole story of Atlan banishing her came to be when the tale got morphed through the centuries.

I remember seeing this in the theater and leaning over to my mother at this part, whispering "That's Julie Andrews!" (My mother is a HUGE fan of both Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music, btw). I'll never forget the look on her face when she realized I was right. At first, she was like, "No way," but then she was all like, "Oh my god! It is her!"

      The Karathen.
      Slattern is 600 feet.
The Karathen is 900 or so.
In terms of strength, the Karathen.
In terms of out smarting, the Karathen.
If in water, the Karathen, if out of water, the Karathen would still win.

I absolutely ADORE the little whispers of non-digitilized Julie Andrews behind the digitally engineered version!!! But gotta say, hearing Julie's voice say she wants to chow down on Arthur is sli-i-i-ghtly creepy lol. Wonder if that's the real reason why Mary Poppins jumped from family to family. Couple of kiddies never made it back from "field trips"! Lol 😲🤐🤓😅

So King Atlan the greatest king of Atlantis just sat still without moving a muscle in a chair in a remote near unreachable location beneath the sea and waited for his death?
I mean while the scene is pretty cool with King Atlan's corpse holding the trident it is also quite stupid.
I mean the people of Atlantis had no problem with their King just sitting in a chair waiting for death with his trident at hand and then not giving him a proper funeral and letting his corpse just sit there and rot for god knows how long?

    • Dylan Kimble
Dylan Kimble 3 months ago +2

He left a message of what he did, and exiled himself. No one could get to him, since the Karathen, the Trench, and the malstrom stood in their way. Their only clue to where he was was the riddle, and they didn't have that. They no doubt had funerals and honorary celebrations of his life and other things after.

this is why Dark Knight Trilogy , Wonder Woman , Superman Man Of Steel , Aquaman and Shazam was on my summer 2019 . Plans and MCU Phase 3 Challenge it have a reason why i like DC over Marvel , but i also like Marvel film except Actors in DCEU is amazing and i was focus on Characters of all time when i was on MCU . So Jason Momma is great and amazing but Actor who play Black Panther na , i just like Black Panther lol and Aquaman is the future on Money and Oscar of Hollywood .

By as I said. You can’t argue much with the fans or the facts. DC hasn’t been doing so well with films in the DCU films since Man Of Steel in 2013. I felt that movie did VERY well and could have lead up to a few other single films.
But Suicide Squad I really could have done without and Wonder Woman could have been better.

    • Noctis69 Something
      Noctis69 Something 19 days ago

I’m not arguing with you. I’m stating MY opinion on the matter. Yes the professor Hulk and Fat Thor was a joke. One I didn’t like; Bucky’s name coming up can be compared to Batman as he was someone that Rodgers looked up to. Wanted to be like and despite icky being better looking in every way, he never thought himself better than his friend who was MUCH weaker than he was.
I felt J.L SHOULD have lead with Darkseid and got it over with than trying to lead up to it the same way MCU did with Thanos. I felt like characters such as Manhunter and Hawkgirl should have made an appearance more than that of Aquaman or Cyborg.

    • gngnome
      gngnome 19 days ago

@Noctis69 Something Haha, like the MCU doesn't have Cap react to anyone and everyone saying, "Bucky"? Which is actually bad because that's hardly central to Steve Rogers' character becoming Captain America, unlike Batman whose parents' deaths lie at the core of what he does and he even experiences flashbacks to that moment. "Bucky" was still understandable, unlike fat Thor or Professor Hulk who are plain jokes at this point.

Justice League was utter crap BECAUSE they deviated from their original plan. The original cut apparently had Darkseid, Desaad, etc. The films before it were doing better than the MCU was at the same stage because they had a single sequential narrative connecting their films with Superman being the central character.
