    You can pull the skin off easily and nice and plumb with a spatula if you let it cook a bit. Cook skin separately for a nice and crunchy treat.

    You DON'T actually need any oil on your pasta water, that's a myth and a total waste of perfectly good olive oil. It does nothing. You also don't really need to add anything after straining the pasta either - unless you plan on eating them without any sauce.

    You do not need olive oil!! Yed it stops the past from sticking together, BUT then it also stops the sauce from really sticking to the pasta as well. If you are making and just olive oil sauce then i really doesn't matter.

    I think a lot of Italians would argue putting olive oil in the water when boiling pasta. In doing so, yes, the pasta does not stick to itself, but neither does the sauce to the pasta (I still use it, though).

    If the rice is weighed,400 grams,and the water is measured by volume,how do you calculate 1 part rice to 1 1/2 parts water?
