His story of his daughters favorite scene is from episode 2, made me appreciate the value that even the simplest display from Star Wars can have an emotional significance to someone else. Most just see R2 following his program, as being surveillance. But a little girl saw him as a guardian, and made the connection that she like Padme was facing a threat and fear of some kind. And wanted a guardian as well to watch over her. Truly wonderful the mind of a child is.

I started watching these on a whim...and I'm so glad I did. There is so much that is ugly and divisive on the internet right now, these are the stories we need. Thank you for sharing other fans' Star Wars journeys.

THIS is what Star Wars is all about. The fans have lost sight of that and insist on bickering and nitpicking everything. We used to just enjoy what we got and love having excited discussions about it. Star Wars is about hope, love, and coming together as one. It's time to quit bickering all the time and be FANS again.

    Loved this video.....
This is what SW fandom SHOULD be about. This is back when going to conventions was fun......now it's dangerous due to politics.
The little figure of R2KT still hangs from my tauntaun's bridle. And I still have the armband as well.
All the best to Albin and his family....

Dude! I live in Charleston, S.C. How can I join your Resistance Group/Rebellion/Galactic Empire/New Order? I too saw "Episode IV: A New Hope" May 25, 1977, in theater and it's been a part of me, ever since. I recall quoting lines from the movie with my friends and acting out that Star Wars story. It's one of my earliest memories of my childhood.
Thank you for backing Star Wars in real life! May the Force be With You. Always. ;)
