Pizza Balloon

  • I got sent a suggestion to attempt a pizza balloon. Yes, you read that right - a pizza that is inflated with straws and baked to create an edible pizza bread bowl - cool huh. After following what looked like a simple method, I actually thought this would be easy. Um, yeah.

      Have you ever considered doing prison food? Try doing the parole cake! Requires red koolaid, Oreo cookies, scrape out the cream and use it for the icing some cream cheese chocolate chip cookies . Or have you tried cooking spam fries? Cut spam in French fry shapes dip them in an egg wash the put them in shake in bake or whatever crunchy covering you like? But don’t use regular spam it’s way too salty use spam lite!! Got both ideas from my neighbor who got the idea from another u tuner called emmymadeinjapan

      I think were the trip up was is that you didnt put the egg wash under the straws so after pulling the straws out there wasnt a great deal under the straws. Not positive but that's what I figure from it

    Ok, air expands when heated, so you dont need to fully inflate.

    Scratch made dough needs to be more elastic to avoid tearing.
    Also, the steaming part, I wonder if there could be a way to steam the top of a pizza, while cooking the bottom and crust the traditional way. Or if you could steam a pizza then throw it into the oven? Basically, recreate the pizza part, but without the extra dough.

    Barry here is a tip. use less flour on your worktop because too much flour can ruin dough. And when you are done with rolling out your dough dust the top so that the flour is gone from the dough. Sorry if i am bad in explaining english is not my first language

    Easier method would be to just cover a oven safe bowl in dough though. No? Seems like a lot of effort for a "undercooked" pizza and a soft dough bowl. Gimmicky but somewhat fun I guess.
