Logitech (or Logi) has extended its MX series from the Master 2S, Anywhere 2S, and Ergo to now include a 4th member: the MX Vertical. It’s a 4000 dpi ergonomic vertical mouse that I guess you could use for gaming if you had to...

Im using this mouse for like a couple of months right now, and it is just awesome... of course there is a learning curve, but when you do something the same way for years, and than just change it, you shouldn't be surprised if its not so easy to adapt. Also i don't experience "fake klicks"...

So I got this mouse shortly after seeing this video (it was a new release anyway and I already had my eye on the MX Ergo). And having it for some time, best upgrade I have had. My forearm was pretty sore and now it's not anymore BUT for the first while I was straining the tendons in the back of my hand more than usual so I got sore there but eventually got used to the mouse and have no issues.
I work in CAD using things like Revit and AutoCAD so this made work FAR more comfortable.
I also tried using it in a FPS (I thought 'Hey! It's going to be more like pulling a trigger now!') and while I never used a mouse and keyboard before for an FPS, this was still really comfortable.

The $20 M618 is much better. It has a palm-rest and hurts less to use. All these do is transfer the wear to your shoulder. It is cheaper to buy a replacement claw for your hand than it is to purchase a new shoulder or replacement arm. Ergonomics fail!

Ive used a logitech mx series mouse (first gen, not this one) for about 2 or 3 years now and its pretty solid in terms of reliability, only problem is the rubber softspots are deteriorating. Not sure if its just friction or the oil secreted by sweat glands that are dissolving the rubber but I hope they didnt use the same material in their new MX series mouses

I have all the Logitech mx series mice and he is correct in saying that Logitech vertical feels very awkward compared to the rest because of its angle.I used for two weeks intensely for all purposes be it gaming, e- signatures(which was the hardest), scrolling documents, etc but still couldn't get adjusted to it and reverted back to mx master 2S which I think is the best all purpose mice.

Is the quality and feel that much better than the $20 Anker Vertical Mouse? $50 seems like a better price point for this mouse, as $100 seems like just just branding and hype, especially for the lower quality feel and functionality than the Master 2S.

We got these in where I work recently and frankly I'd never recommend it to customers. Logitech is normally spot on with ergos but this thing is NOT ergonomic or even usefully shaped for the hand. The angle feels great but... Let's break down the issues
First, that forward button reach issue Linus had, funny how he specifically said its made for large hands, cuz my hands are pretty big and the buttons are way too far back to hit comfortably! My Logitech triathalon which is less expensive has easier to reach buttons. The vertical mouse would require me curling my thumb too much.
Second, the main clicker area is totally unergonomic. All other Logitech mice I've ever handled have a perfect curve that feels comfortable in the hand. This dumb thing is FLAT in the click area! It feels so unnatural! Also another point about the "for big hands" thing, my fingers also reach too far to comfortably click the main left and right button. Once again, reaches perfectly comfortably on the triathalon.
Third, I believe fixing that flatness issue would also have prevented the false clicks because, well think about a normal kinda curved click area, it's easy to hold it in a relaxed grip and rest your hand on it and not accidentally click. With the flat click area, if holding it comfortably and naturally, your fingertips are on the buttons and nothing else because it doesn't curve or bubble out toward the palm to follow the natural curved finger position. You're putting all the force into a smaller area causing misclicks.

The ghost clicking happens because of the verticality of the mouse, when you click you also push the mouse however slightly. With a classic mouse you click down in a way where even your palm prevents movement. The vertical mouse requires either a heavier base or pads with a harder grip on the bottom to prevent further ghost clicking.

I'm a graphic designer and digital artist so I intensely use the mouse a loooot and I started developing wrist strains, had to take breaks, do stretch exercises, then I switched to a vertical mouseand BOOM, strain and pain was gone! And they often come with buttons by the thumb, which I've mapped to step back and step forward, so long ctrl+alz+Z! They're fuck ugly most of the time, but took me two minutes to get used to, recommend to everyone, seriously.
