- Nearly three years ago, so-called Islamic State fighters swept through northern Iraq, where the country’s oldest ethnic minority were living - the Yazidis.
Many of the men were shot, while the women and children were kidnapped, taken as hostage and raped.
The Victoria Derbyshire programme’s reporter Fiona Lamdin has spent a couple of days with a small group of women who have been resettled in Germany, and are trying to rebuild their lives.

And another case in uk where a guy raped his step daughter and her friends multiple times threatening to distribute the rape videos and also to kill all their family members. What a sad life
This is literally my worst nightmare. She has such a strong soul, I honestly would have given up if I were in that situation. I can't imagine the pain and trauma that she faced. I'm sending love and healing her way. ❤
One thing is for sure if you are not at your best anything you send will be lacking to say the least. So I guess you can be thankful for not having to personally deal with the same situation. But at the same time you should know unless you devise a solution this type of problem will almost like we continue to occur. In other words if you're upset about this situation happening to someone here then imagine what it would feel like if you knew how many times the same exact problem occurs daily globally

Seeing videos like this always keep me grounded and helps me to remember that even my traumas are so minimal in comparison and a sobering reminder to always pray for everyone because there is always someone who is suffering more than you. Everyone suffers in their own way but definitely some worse than others.
Unfortunately trying to get reinsurance from another person suffering is not going to offset compensate minimize reducing to the point where it ceases to exist. Real progress comes from the desire best effort in one attempting to become physically fit mentally sound spiritually balanced being able to express physical freedom which is key for one to start living up to the pleasure potential responsibility of femininity and masculinity. For only at this level of body awareness does one naturally constantly consistently systematically almost effortlessly have the conscious awareness physical capabilities of being able to validate confirm and signify as being true towards love honor and the creation of life.

Those poor girls. I can't even begin to imagine what they had to endure. The young lady who is the focus of the video is incredible. Traumatised and her life never to be the same as it once was. Despite that, she's standing tall. Such strength.

You are getting emotionally exhausted.
It is like someone(the trauma, bad memories, ect.) takes away your joy every single time so you have to work twice as hard just to live a normal life(just to stay sane).
You can get overwhelmed very quick.
It is like you are forced to run a marathon without any training and the race lasts as long as you suffer.
This forces a lot of people to their limits and unfortunately some of them can not take it anymore and do not make it to experience themselves getting better.
The trauma causes your brain to shut off emotion.
this made me cry especially when she told us about the 10 year old crying for her mother while being raped that is haunting and this woman is so brave I can't believe how rotten human beings can be to the most vulnerable :(

Example wishing or praying combination of both for physical mental spiritual accountability. And then living in accordance to validate such a request. Outside of that level of devotion commitment is just crocodile tears.

That makes me angry . My wife was about to be taken by isis in Syria before coming to America when her dad told me this type of story I broke down and started kissing her feet. It took me 4 years to get through this footage. Whenever she spoke of the ten year old girl I had to stop over and over. I finally watched it entirely today 4 years later. And these women lived it.
She is a fighter and a hero, the fact that she's still standing now shows us a lot

I have no words as to how this can happen in the world. I don't know how I managed to stumble across this video but I was going to sleep, but now I am beside myself in tears. I cannot believe how cruel humanity can be and am in awe of this girls strength and resilience. people often think that all trauma does is make someone stronger, which isn't always true. there are people who are permanently haunted by their trauma, people whose trauma did not make them "tougher", but more fragile. we must empathise with and respect all survivors of abuse.
I worked in mental health services for many years and I can attest to the fact that, in many cases, sexual and other forms of abuse many times results in mental illness. There isn’t a medication for that kind of illness either

@B you don’t know what it feels like to be mentally ill? Poverty? Domestic abuse?child abuse? Sexual assault? Bullied? Attempted suicide? Self harm? Being numb? There is so much more it’s not just her is suffering am not saying she didn’t suffer basically every living things suffer and don’t deserve it all those things I listed could be horrible without being treated like an animal there is so much you don’t understand so stop acting like you have the right it judge your probably a 10 year old

Hard to believe..you have never read history or believed it? It was then and it is now..but so is and was good.
These girls who have gone through such trauma they have very strong soul. I had goose bumps in fear running down listen to what she express and when said I don't have tears to spare anymore. what she gone through is un imaginable being a guy when watching this documentary. We are also born in a asia or south east asia in other words geographically. We treat a girl/girlfriend/wife or any female companion with utmost respect and lot of love from bottom of our heart with our deep traditional cultural background. We don't raise our hands to a women or take her by force in our strong born culture instead. We cant forget that I was given a birth or seen this world because of my mum who is a women. We respect every girl every female collogue the way we respect our Mum or the way We respect Bhadra Kali Amma the goddess if we take the spiritual aspect of life.
I am so sorry to hear what you have gone through in your life as a girl you all are very pretty and cute angels who deserve equal life as every other girl/women in this world. I wish you were born in to my culture my love we will look after you as a princess. We may not rich enough to give you a place to live but we will give you loads of love respect, freedom of speech and culture to lead your free life in this lifetime I will promise you that my dear. I cried when she said she ran out of tears..l can't imagined the pain and trauma she went thru.. She is a strong woman.
Imagine that pain our women and young girls felt when they were raped in the most brutal ways in Bosnia just because they are Muslims and those poor victims in Iraq.The Srebrenica genocide. Not going to lie now,i do get a hard on thinking about Serbian and American girls and older women. i do help myself thinking about them;) ;) And yep FTP........!!!!!!;)

No, she didn't run out of tears, here experience make her strong, and she is srtong enough to hold her tears even telling the darkest nightmare of her life and i tell your the braviest person i know
As a man who has been through so much violence myself, I admire, I look up to these women who are strong and never give up their fight against their struggles.
When I grow up , I will work for them and help them , my prayers always with people who have deal with such trauma.
The one bright spot is that the girls that managed to find their way back to the community were given a cleaning ceremony and re- integrated as though they had not been violated.
May they all find their way home.
