Use this filling to dip into melted chocolate and make coconut candies. I like this coconut filling best with Dark chocolate. They may be decorated with Almond and white chocolate. Add these to your candy plate for Easter Holiday dinner. Just having a plate of these candies out for you guest is a nice surprise. For a less sweet Variation:
    3/4 cup roasted almond powder
(using food processor, process almonds to a powder)
then add 1 cup coconut filling. Combine Well
Make 1 tsp. balls and dip in melted chocolate

Oh yeah this is a very good coconut filling recipe. My suggestion is to use dark chocolate as a coating. When a filling is sweet dark chocolate works well. Thanks for watching and for your comment. Margie

This is just the filling. The filling just needs to be rolled into 1 inch balls and dipped in Chocolate. Which I do have videos for. Sorry I did not complete those steps in this video.Margie

Hello and thank you for the recipe - once this cools, what is the consistency of the filling. is it hard? I'm looking for a coconut filling similar to this candy filling, except I'd like to use it for a layer between cake.

No it is the consistency of an almond joy. I would not recommend this for in-between cake layers.But. how about a the icing recipe that is used for German Chocolate cake. That is designed to go on cake layers. You would not have to use the nuts.Margie

+Samantha*Nicole Absolutely, Loran company makes a large assortment of oils cherry might be nice. Sometime pharmacies sell them or Crafts stores in their cake decorating section.Thank you for the question.Margie

I hope you have a very nice Easter also!AND this is so good right out of the bowl!!!I have to laugh because if a candy filling isn't really good right out of the bowl then had better not be dipping it in chocolate. Thanks for watching my videos.Margie
