I grew up with this title sequence, and it always scared the bejeezus outta me. One thing I never figured out was what the affinity with the bullseye colour pattern. Perhaps it was to show off... hey we're in colour?!? What do others think?

    • Yeti
      Yeti 2 months ago +1

well it was actually produced in black and white, and then coloured later, so I guess they had to use something to make it interesting

Does anyone remember this, not from the 70's, but the early 90's when they did the re-runs? from memory they showed The Sea Devils and the Daemons, I think they a bit later after the other docs they showed Planet of the Daleks and the Green Death. and... and.... ok they've done a lot of re-runs since.

Jon pertwee is such an underrated doctor. He's always overshadowed by tom baker but in my opinion it's jon who kicked off the golden age of doctor who. 1970, colour TV, third doctor. Hartnell set the bar and troughton proved that changing actors could be done but this is when doctor who really started to up it's game.
