  • Learn how to replace the ENTIRE front suspension of your car in this two episode series. Here I will show you how to install a brand new wheel bearing, ball joints, control arms, tie rod, strut, and axle.
The ball joint and wheel bearing has to be pressed into the knuckle and I have a bunch of tips and tricks to make that easy. I show how to properly install a tie rod (safely) and get an accurate measurement so you can get the car aligned. I also show you how to properly torque down bolts with bushings so you don't tear them. The rest of the suspension parts are pretty simple to install and then we go for a ride to see how much better the car handles!

Another fantastically well-described video. I appreciate the way you leave nothing to chance, as if not explained properly someone could mess up their suspension job. Trust me, when you go over every contingency it's so much more interesting and easier to understand the process because, you explain why you would want to do it a particular way, and for dummies like me, what would happen if done the wrong way. Never have I seen a better front suspension tear-down and rebuild for front wheel drive vehicles. You Rock!

Hey Chris just an FYI if you're twerking the bolts to spec after adding loctite you need to remove around 20 foot pounds. Wet torque and dry torque are two completely different numbers. The torque numbers in the book are dry torque. When you add anti seize your turning it into a wet torque

Hey Chris, LOVE your videos! I have a question for you & a request, but first your videos they have brought me so much knowledge, yet sometimes it can be hard to figure out the english terms and if it also can be applied to european cars, since I am from Denmark :). I use the information I can when fixing my own Mazda 6 2.3 sport 2003. It would be soooo much helpful for us all if you made a video of explaining what each compenent need to be torqued down to like in newton metre so we never over torque things. Is it possible for you to make this kind of video? Much appreciated if you can :)!
