Thanks for watching - Once you've seen all 5, let me know which one YOU'RE most excited about!
(Also, if you haven't seen it yet, I spent 2.5 months compiling EVERY Google Smartphone ever: thexvid.com/video/KQaZa-8ku30/video.html )

Hmm actually solid state batteries gets me the most exited for smartphones. The photography is getting better anyway. Batterylife is the biggest problem right now. It's just terrible.

Solid state batteries can change smartphones, but mostly won't, because companies won't want to put these in smartphones because this can decrease sales and they want money

We can thank all the smartphone fanboy freaks for demanding thinner and thinner and more and more metal and glass phones, thus cutting and digging into your hands, and also slipping out of them very easily. THANKS FANBOYS, YOU SUCK STUPID 24/7/365 !

I can see why the video's title was focused on the solid state battery concept, pretty much every other take or explanation was complete loaded garbage

Dendrites don't make it harder for electricity to flow. They're little metal fingers. Eventually they can short circuit the battery, potentially causing spontaneous ignition.

“This is why your 2 year old smartphone can barely make it through the day”
    Me: lasts 2 days with a 5s 🧐

A better fingerprint reader and a camera in the middle of the screen?
    How about no.

I see the cloud as what it really is. An insanely popular security nightmare where users become the product... I want my personal data to stay personal. I don't want it to be sold for other people's profit.

Companies will just make the battery smaller so you can just barely get a day, then they can still blame you when your battery life sucks

That has to do with more of the hardware and how your phone runs then just the battery, what he means is phones with pretty decent-good specs like the galaxy s7 or s8 battery will start to worsen throughout time. The LG x's screen isnt big with a high resolution or a powerful card.

if you shake battery/phone will that be enough g-force to break apart these dangerous dendrites?

  • daichai
    daichai 14 days ago

you know they've been developing solid state batteries for over 30 years now? that means the limitation to release is not due to hardware. It hasn't been released for political reasons. This new gen battery would make all remote devices too overpowered. From hand held lasers to R/C drones the current infrastructure would come under threat of assault by the general public's newfound potentiality.

in the future: introducing the cloud camera! your phone sends a gps beacon and the cloud sends a drone with camera to ur location to take a picture. But the drone it sends isn't only carrying a camera but also a weapon of war.

I thought of the invisible camera being put inside watches. I’ve seen watches with cameras, and they make no sense... they face away from you, you aren’t going to be taking pics with your smart watch, but you might make a video call, enter the invisible camera!

The most pressing issue with dendrites is not the fact that it worsens the ions transport from one electrode to another, but the fact that these dendrites can grow to lengths that can puncture the membrane separating the anode from the cathode and cause a short circuit and therefore light the battery on fire

It's the year 2030, we have solid state batteries. Electric cars can travel across the country on a single charge. Phones still last one day, but have batteries the size of a shirt button.

well since fingerprint sensors are already runs with cameras why not just double it as a secondary camera(if it does not become more expensive)

A 1.5 amp battery is no good. Last year I got a 5 amp battery in the phone. And a slow processor around 1.2 GHz. But, it lasts a long time on one charge. So, it's a trade off of processor speed, and screen size, and a big battery, like 5 amps (5000 milli amps). I prefer a 5 Amp battery, and a big screen, like 6 inches. Then processor speed, and lots of RAM, like 3GB, with 32 GB or 64GB or 128 GB built in.
