Alright like this comment if you think I should go and make a claim to Bir Tawil. And leave a comment if you'd like to challenge me with your own claim, I dare you!
i claim it and we are monarchists. kingdom of sudania
I’m only 13 but I’m gonna claim it one day and name it clairken bc why not
It is my country 9 years old when I be 27 years old and I'm climate
My country and I am gana make a garment
i would join your kingdom if i was granted a position of authority
I'll read the terms and conditions and get back to you
Okay, this is where the people who want to start a Mars colony need to go to demonstrate their basic technical competence. If you can survive on Mars, colonizing Bir Tawil ought to be a piece of cake.
@My new channel Bro Sudan and Egypt wants other people to be occupied bir tawil way back 2018 to 2020 because that is a vacant land, but Sudan and Egypt is automatically not supporting anyone who claimed bir tawil, so if egypt and sudan didn't support your bir tawil country, do you think you will survive? Like i said that is a dessert no water, no growing eating plant for the people, and many animals did survive in the sun light conditions, so that is useless for the indipendent people to claimed and occupied bir tawil you spend alot of money for nothing bro, that is infavor for 2 countries sudan and egypt if anyone claimed bir tawil but im sure that 2 countries will not support people that claiming bir tawil they didn't support water or products or food so how bro? How we claimed bir tawil? If you are a billionaire how did you claimed bir tawil? How do you build an economics? How your money currency will grow? Theres many questions bro that very hard to answer. But for me you're fool if you claimed bir tawil even you have alot of money and you are eligible to build group of peoples to live bir tawil, because the main problem is water supplies and food supplies and economic growth and productivity exportation, you have no choice to give a bir tawil in egypt or sudan if you claimed that island, and that is the plan of sudan if you claimed bir tawil they have a right to claimed in red sea and after that someday if you are tired to being a country leader of bir tawil, the 2 countries will offered you to be a part of 1 country. So you only waste your money and time to claimed bir tawil for what? For nothing bro.
@Raymund38 TV if it’s so empty and useless, then why would Sudan care? And like you said, they don’t want it because they want the Red Sea. And yea of course it would be difficult to live there, but have you not heard of terraforming? Already people have created green areas in deserts.
I think this place would be worth having purely because it’s the only chance to create a new country and not have to follow any stupid laws made by bureaucrats. It’s also possible to get money from big businesses by letting them be based there legally (without actually having to go there) for tax purposes.
Lol 😂 the people who claimed bir tawil is fool, no water to that land that is completely empty and useless land that is good for sudan if they occipied bir tawil but i think no politics will do that if they occupied bir tawil they will no longer be able to claimed red sea, but if someone they claimed and occupied bir tawil and declared him self as a king of bir tawil, sudan politics will appeal to UN to devide red sea in to 2 land since bir tawil is already occupied by other people and became a kingdom or country. If red sea will devide in to 2 that is 10x much bigger than bir tawil but only fool person can do that you need to spend billion dollars just to occupied bir tawil 😂 for what reason, you cant have a plantation to bir tawil to gained a vegetable foods also fruits 😂 because that land is fully dry and no water to that land, also the animal only the choosing animals can survive to that land many animals can't survive to the temperature of bir tawil so you can build a farm, so the people cant live in bir tawil even if you are rich and you claimed bir tawil ask your own country or kingdom you need many resources for your people population and how they survive without food, if you exporting food to other country while your people had no job for your country hows your country money will circulate 😂 to your people, your kingdom economy will be lost quickly while sudan and egypt will laughing you 😂 that is very impossible to claimed bir tawil, that is a propaganda of sudan politics to give bir tawil to people that wanting to claimed bir tawil to having a rights to claimed a red sea or devide a red sea between sudan and egypt, because bir tawil is fully empty no richness in bir tawil that is full of sickness and hungryness for who want to claimed that land.
But Sir, it would mean they can't fake being in mars with blurry images.
Why does some of the footage of Bir Tawil look exactly like some of the footage of Mars?🤔
“I claimed this part of AFRICA, and the last person to leave it gets it and 50k dollars”
Lol 😂 the people who claimed bir tawil is fool, no water to that land that is completely empty and useless land that is good for sudan if they occipied bir tawil but i think no politics will do that if they occupied bir tawil they will no longer be able to claimed red sea, but if someone they claimed and occupied bir tawil and declared him self as a king of bir tawil, sudan politics will appeal to UN to devide red sea in to 2 land since bir tawil is already occupied by other people and became a kingdom or country. damn i read that with jimmy's voice
Nah Jimmy would straight up give them the country
Mr beassst
Why did i read this in MrBeast voice💀
Let’s take the moment to appreciate how much effort RealLifeLore puts into his content for us. Great job
bot
While I know that turning even a small portion of the Sahara into a solarpower farm would have a great impact on global weather patterns, I can't help but think about making Bir Tawil into a solar panel nation
I love the way he connects the topic to the advertisement smoothly in all his videos even if it is a cookware.
It would be hilarious if large quantities of something like gold were suddenly discovered in Bir Tawil.
The underground cave from Aladdin
Or vibranium
Gold
Lots in south africa
@silveryfeather208 uhmmm maybe
Wouldn't this be a perfect playground for Nasa to test their moon habitat experiments? After all, if they can land a few helicopters with the same sort of gear that would be on a moon habitat mission, and prove they can thrive their untouched for a few years, wouldn't this be allot cheaper allot safer, and yield great test results to apply towards an actual moon mission?
The US would have to first claim the land, to which by any account of US history, it would need oil or some other source of extra table resource for them to do so
They already have training grounds that are both secluded from population and also have terrain that matches the moon. It would simply cost too much for them to transport their trainees back and forward from their already established grounds.
Not to mention it would cause lots of problems with other countrys
Thats actually very smart
But no, im claiming bir tawil.
Antarctica was discovered more than 500 years ago not 200. The Piri Reis Map was drawn in the early 1500s by an Ottoman admiral on expedition and shows Antarctica. Not only Antarctica but Antarctica without ice and also the east coast of the Americas. What's crazy crazy is that its only about a third of the map that's still intact
true. many speak 'bout Magellan, Pizzare or even Marco Polo, but only few mention Piri Reis, one of the gratest sailors of all time. sweet you made that point
I would imagine Hala'ib becoming like a second UAE, or a second Qatar, another one of those super-rich fancy elitist tourist spots if Egypt, Sudan, or both countries decided to invest heavily on the disputed region.
You wouldn't need roads there in the beginning, you could literally build a society that relies more on flying/ floating vehicles to jump start things (get inventors interested). You could create geo-farms in the ground to normalize temperatures and create crops and harvest water from the air and land. There is bound to be usable materials under the sand. If its hot enough topside you can also run Sterling generators off of that heat. I have so many ideas on how this could work out. Politically though, you would need everyone interested in claiming it to put aside their pride to work together to get it started. It would start out like a Mars colonist would need to think like to conquer it. Start with mining out places to live and create barriers against the sand. This would be a great area for space geared companies to experiment with. The Antarctic as well (I would use Yttrium generators there instead however)
"...about 1% of Earth's land area remains unclaimed by any country..."
Britain: *No need to thank me.*
@TheMadRatterLol. The Roman Empire and the African Barbary Cosairs beg to differ. It really should be "Britons never never never never shall be slaves... *again".*
@Finley Attrill you’re powerless against a small militia. Revolution baby.
As a British citizen, I have claimed this comment section and anyone who disagrees will be deposited in a cardboard box on triton (one of Jupiter's moons). Thanks for your co-operation.
@Trollololol actually we were told to rule the waves in the song. No claim that we already did.
"Rule Britannia, Britannia rule the waves! Britons never, never, never shall be slaves."
@J M England : hey isn't that oil
America : oil??
America : evidence show that bla bla bla bla so that island is our
RealLifeLore: “You can’t claim this”
Britain: “I missed the part where that’s my problem.”
This was fascinating
At 7:30, you said that the land used in Bir Tawil was more culturally Egyptian. How is that possible if no one lives there and it's just "useless land"?
The Ababdah tribe based near Aswan used it as grazing land.
To quote a former History teacher of mine,
"When in doubt, blame the British!"
I can't wait for MrBeast to claim Bir Tawil and make it his own country.
Lmfao
Hell form a military and prank invade Sudan and Egypt, then give them each 1 billion pounds
No I will claim the territory even if Mr beast claimed it I was still do war
In your dreams
he gonna be like:
TODAY, I BOUGHT ALL UNCLAIMED LAND , AND ALL MY FRIENDS ARE GONNA PLAY HIDE AND SEEK TO KEEP IT
So i'm looking for the history before all the colonial nonsense and I can't even find out why it's called Bir Tawil (tall water well). Does it have a water well? Did it ever? Why is it's history so mysterious and obscured? Sad that no one has taken the time to ask local Bedouin tribes about it more, or if they have at least they could publish it online somewhere...
You made a mistake starting at 8:47. Option A for Sudan is the 1902 line and Option B is the 1899 line, but you said the opposite which means you basically repeated the best options as Egypt for Sudan. Sudan also wants the triangle so the 1902 line is Option A for them.
Nice content as always, thx.
I have a question tho, how are you making these nice shots from the maps? I would really like to get an explanation for that. And I don't mean a sort of tutorial how to do it, but more an explanition of your workflow for doing these clips. Like, do you have a special programm for that, where do you get the maps from (like the .png file or whatever) how do you get this data to be in Video format...
Thank you in advance.
That switch from history to food was amazing
Can't imagine how the sailors and navigators who discovered Antarctica back in 1820 felt!
They’re still frozen there
Smart way to advertise a utensil.
They where probably freezing! And thought it was a snow island which I mean it is.
"ah, India atlast!"
@Imawaffle this is well known by now
So, this is what i understand (Correct me if i'm wrong).
If Egypt claim bir tawil, that's mean they are surrend hala'ib to sudan
If Sudan claim bir tawil, that's meant Egypt would've full authorities to hala'aib
Yeah
RealLifeLore logic: so if you want to claim this part of the world you need cooling equipment
There was a youtube channel (yes theory) I think, that wanted to make their own country, I think they could possibly make a country out of bit tawil as they have a big community.
As being British I vow to fix this mess by taking bir tawil
RLL: "This little plot of land in the middle of Africa that no one wants to claim"
Me: "Its the British isn't it?"
@Pip Snowden becoz they ruled and stole from many countries and left them in a worse off state. One does not need to go far other then the British museum and see what’s in the queens collection to know this. For example India was one of the richest countries around 1700, when the British left it was one of the poorest! They looted valuables and treasures and made vast amounts of money from wheat etc. It makes me wonder how on earth a small country like This can be one of he richest when they have no natural resources etc.
Repent
@Sebastian Lodge like North America before Columbus
It’s always the British
In my understanding, you can see Bir Tawil in a state similar to Schrödingers Cat, either it is part of Egypt or of Sudan, but right now it is both or better none..
I now claim Bir Tawil to my own country Beas, that stands for between Egypt and Sudan.
The flag has only one color, the color of dry dry sand. The national plant is egplants and the animal is the covid-19 virus (I know it's not an animal but who would even read this). Long live the Beas!
lol
I love how Luxemobourg is your default unit of measurement in basically all of your videos haha
I claimed Bir Tawil and designed my own flag and then planning to build 6 capital city’s
"Why Nobody Wants This Part of Africa"
Short Answer: It's a small patch of inhospitable desert and there's no oil.
Thats why usa isnt interested
@Gerstein03 man, you really don't understand sarcasm?
@Daniele the better the United States wasn't involved in the scramble of Africa so if there were oil it would've been one of the European nations that carved it up
@Nehan Karanch The US wasn't always oil independent.
Can't wait to become a king
7:37 so the only reason Bir Tawil was created was in consideration of nomadic tribes the used the land...
Imagine a huge oil reserve being discovered in Bir Tawil and both Egypt and Sudan wanting Bir Tawil and in the end Americans coming and taking over Bir Tawil 😂
Bir Tawil may not be controlled by any state... instead, it's controlled by Bedouin gold miners with semi-automatic weapons. Yes, it has substantial gold resources that are mined using primitive techniques. The Bedouins will detain you if you try to visit, and make you leave. And that's if you play your cards right. I read the recent travelogue (with pictures) of a European guy (Belgian, I recall) who went there. Anyone who wanted to take over Bir Tawil and have a high chance of success would have to bring a force of probably 100 armed soldiers, at the very least. So, claiming Bir Tawil is just kind of a funny joke that can't be realized, except by the Egyptian or Sudanese state.
I just find it so fascinating that it's literally a sea of sand.
So, I rode a pure bred Egyptian Arab horse through parts of Bir Tawil in the late 80’s. A friend of mine who owns a ranch north of Bir Tawil in Egypt, breeding and raising Arabian horses, did guided tours through parts of Bir for a few years. I will never forget this time. We were in the desert for two weeks, living in nomad tents with our horses and a couple of guys with all terrain vehicles for our supplies. Generator and everything. It was amazing. I have never, and probably never will, experience the absolutely stunning silence of the earth. Two weeks in Bir Tawil we’re life changing for me. We were visited by Tuareg nomads for two days, we spoke French with each other. They taught us to hunt for small protein bugs that live under rocks, and showed us the trails of the wandering rocks; there are rocks that move miles and miles in the desert and they leave a trail behind, I don’t know what the phenomena is called.
@Raymund38 TV Just letting ya know, nobody will read this.
Great story, i do believe you.. Gerda could have been married to an Egyptian i pressume. I've been to Egypt many times too, know many western women married to Egyptians..
And i think Gerda is a typical Dutch name. 😉
Thanks for sharing your great story 👌🏽
do people actually live there or do they live in sudan and egypt and just go out for tours
is it interesting or just a bit boring?
If only the Freedom Ship guy knew about this, he could've designed a giant sand crawler to claim the Bir Tawil with.
Ill have it. Imagine the price down the line after the ice caps melt.
I would love my own island, no matter how small.
POV: in a general contractor and wondering how hard it would be to get wood there or flown in. I could have a plan here
MrBeast up next: I spent a billion dollars and claimed this land to make my own country!
*"As with many badly drawn borders, it starts with the British"*
- Jay Foretzu, The Art of Map Men
dont think that hike is gonna be very pleasent
If I had heaps of money I’d build a road and bring all orphans to this place and build schools and infrastructure and build an amazing community 😍
There i s 193 countries that are internationaly recognised (at least 90% of world have to say yes it is country) countries as norh cyprus kosovo are half and not recognised so please people want content creators that give 100% correct information like here in Germany every news are telling truth and no one wants american who dont even know to say Germany properly to talk about it
I dunno man, the United Cities did a pretty good job of surviving in a place like Bir Tawil. Just need a lot of unjust slavery and pompous capitalism.
I’ve claimed Bir Tawil. It will be known as The Humanitarian Kingdom of the People of Bir Tawil. Call me your king (or Queen if you’d rather) and go secure the land. You’ll be rewarded with peerage. You may only receive the peerage however if you are native to the continent.
reallifelore: "why nobody wants this land-"
british: "hold my gin and tonic, did someone say conquerable land??"
@Richard Gagen no shit
I'm starting to sense that you guys don't like us British much.......
i agree
@skullzy yuck
I want to name that price as that the people's democratic kingdom of odorome
The national languge would be classical Arabic ,odo English and Japanese
I claim bir Tawil as the country of “real life lore is cool”
the idea that parts of Africa are left ‘to claim’ is remarkably colonialist and imperialist
so what are the steps to claim the unclaimed land of antartica?
"If you see two fish fighting then a British man probably passed by" -unknown
@Ken Albertsen nice one
How was wire invented? Two Brits pulling on a tupence coin.
@Huang Jianhao I agree with you agreeing with everything
@Rexyjp123 pineapple on pizza is actually good
Q: 7:32 how did they decide that area was more culturally Egyptian?
A: They ran a survey throughout the entire population of the area
Q :But there's 0 peop-
A: THEY *_ALL_* IDENTIFIED AS CULTURALLY EGYPTIAN, NOW SHUT UP
I am now claiming Bir Tawil for my own and renaming it to “The Kingdom of Anime” or TKOA for short.
ok but where did the supposed egyptian population of the area (now called Bir Tawil) go? you mentioned that it is uninhabited, but also that a second border was drawn to get the egyptian people living there into egypt?
It's actually a very interesting story
The true goal for anyone is to successfully create a country in that area, make the name REALLY dumb, then wait for an important event to occur (like a war or something) and then do a bunch of random things that history classes in the future will have to teach and make it harder for people trying to learn it
BigBlackDongs has a meeting with the president of China
Lets call it Country McCountry Face!
gonna show up and name this shit NFT Desert
or restart the USSR
If I were able to claim that pot of land, I would call it THE KINGDOM OF OMARIA.
What about that tiny Sudanese salient north of the 22nd parallel east of Bir Tawil?
In 1902 The Birtish gave Sudan administrative control of Halayeb, but did not give them Halayeb. This is like having a watchman for your building, to take care of it, however this doesn't mean he can claim the building to himself.
It took me two of your videos to sign up for nebula and curiosity love your work !
“There ain’t nothin’ more important than my daughter’s happiness” - Jay Foreman, in an impressively thick American accent
edit: I meant a thick Texan accent, my mistake
@toonmag50 sure, man.
@Ceci n'est pas un être. geographical notions? Amusing,at least I know where Afghanistan is, without the distortion of looking at the dust blur in the rear view mirror as I fly away, with indecent haste .
@Ceci n'est pas un être. you appear to have smoked one opium pipe too many.
@toonmag50
Neither Canada nor Mexico are Central or South American nations though. That's my point.
I WANT PART OF BIR TAWIL! Just so i can be cool, and claim i own a country. Yes i would TRY and develop it
I can't get over how much Sudan looks like a scaled down model of Africa (at least at 6:35)
I would change the name of Bir Tawil to
Southern Philippines bc i live in Philippines
Me: Why is there an empty plot of land in Africa?
RealLifeLore at 4:40 "We can thank the British".
Me: Ah, ok say no more.
Ok, so i get why setting this up as a nation would be difficult, but if it's unclaimed what's stopping a corporation from setting up shop there and just claiming the land as private property wherever they fill out their taxes? I mean, it looks perfect for illegal experimentation. Big pharma could make a lot of use out of that. Any PMC would also love to have a permanent base of operations in Africa because there's a whole lot of work there for mercs. All of which could operate without any government oversight.
@PrismaAce If they had meant white collar, they would have said white collar. No one refers to construction as "blue labor."
@Swisher Sweets Ah yes, those White Mongolians, Greeks, and Persians were truly a blight on history.
@Morvus Monvrus they mean white collar, not white skin. so fragile
1:30 Antarctica wasn‘t discovered until 200 years ago. - so what about the so called Piri Reis map from the 15th century?
Tir Na Sadat ( “Tir na” means “land of” in Irish, and Sadat is my second name)
The story should have taken 1/4 to 1/3 the amount of time that it did.
I suspect that Bir Tawil will have the last word on whether it is part of any country or not.
"Maybe after Jeff Bezos conquers space, he'll come after Bir Tawil and turn it into his personal little kingdom."
Don't give him any ideas.
elon musk will conquer space
it wouldnt be jeff bezos most likely would be elon musk
Or Putin 😶
This is "Comment & Reply" is for the VIDEO!
This is not for people to comment or reply to other comments and replies!
Jeff bests has been in space
Love this guys work but if you gonna show a map, show a realistic one, Ireland is down at UK which is not true which I know you know about.
Exactly, flat earth map is accurate AF
I wish I have a country :(
I can’t wait to claim Bir Tawil as Constantinople 2: Electric Boogaloo.
Bir Tawil and Mary Birdland has to be part of INDIA🇮🇳🇮🇳!!!!!
I am an Egyptian and i studied history in high school and this video is more enlightening than the 2 years i spent studying history in high school. i always heard about halayeeb confliction but i didn't know what is the situation or why.
Only native English speakers speak just in English lol im Portuguese I speak 5 languages, is that a problem 4 u guys?
@tobias ripper You can ask me
In our history, they clearly say Halaeb is a part of Sudan like any other.
@Radithya Satria same here thanks for letting me know
@pim pim pupajim it's normal to be trilingual in my country too
@科学的エビデンス what? bro internet is common in egypt (not on the country side tho but still there is houses with internet there)
But why doesn’t Egypt or Sudan say, separately from the British border, they are going to annex Bir Tawil extraterritorially in addition to their recognized border?
"it's not a mistake ✨ it's a MASTERPIECE✨
Antarctica is governed by international treaty. None of it can be claimed. Parts of it can be temporarily leased for scientific research.
About Bir Tawil, I would name it "Republic of Ricrollia" for completely no reason...
"It all started with some British dude drawing up arbitrary borders."
How many times do I have to read/hear this?
Hell it's either some Brit or Stalin.
@Regular dude on internet. And Europe to make Napoleon weak
@Da Phenomenalz "Old Britain" lmao Britain is still the same bud
@GrumpyMunky Game Design are you saying that the UK invaded the Middle East out of good will towards the nations there?
4:01 check for minerals and sell them call it the land of riches after it grows economicaly
If there WAS a space in the world I could claim I don't know what I would name it
..
I claim this land as the Planet Ne'setooine, and will defend it from orbit with my flagship the space battleship 'Yamato'.
Hmm can an photon which is smaller than the smallest thing of a Petoamic Particular called a quark claim the under part of this place?
"An American dad from Virginia" sounds about right for Stan lol.
@ً I am guessing that says sudan but yeah idk how that matters its just a country name
@🇺🇲The United States of America Sudanese people have Black skins (not brown). That Amerikan guy was as white as snow. Fun fact: sudan is derived from the arabic word for BLACK أسود
yep, and about that alien he's harboring...
@ً I don't get it...?? sudan sounds funni but its the name of the country underneath but eh
@GladBuffalo 😐
Seems like second step would be to declare some sort of territorial war.
If I could claim Bir Tawil, I would make the Republic of Xanea
Imagine going to Made-In to buy cooking equipment for your new kingdom
I claim this land as the Kingdom of Literally Fucking Nowhere
If anyone tried to enforce a serious claim to Bir Tawil, I bet both Egypt and Sudan would object on the grounds that "That land belongs to our neighbor."
Sure 100%
That's exactly what they've done. Both of them agree that the land isn't unclaimed.
While pointing at each other noses
Antarctica has been shown accurately on maps dated well before 200yrs ago.
*We will reorganize bir tawil into the 1st Galactic Empire!*
I hereby claim Bir Tawil as Frostbyte's Kingdom.
Let's just appreciate of how the camera man survived on those videos
Honestly, it would be hard to come up with a better name than “The Kingdom Of Middle Earth”
@Colonel Joshua Chamberlain I totally understand you
@Draoidhi might rather live in the actual Mordor than there. At least theres SOME running water
Yet Im thinking of following the ent wives' example and try to farm that hell hole. With a lot of willpower and money it should be possible haha.
Oh there is, the "land of Mordor" for example ;).
As a die hard fan of Sauron I think of claimming that kingdom for my master, Sauron the great.
@NATOspy Sánchez i dunno, a lot of Americans are pretty ungrateful these days
I now claim Bir Tawil, I will now call my country the United Emerates of Forteska.
The most logical name for this can be: Kingdom of everyone
you can see clearly how western intentionally made the border issue very complicated in every countries they colonized. Beside: The Western knew that there was an oil. that is why conflict were needed.
Oil wasn't that useful for most of history, and honestly we weren't great at finding it anyway.
