I absolutely love your videos. Excel is now fun and easy for me. I did a list of tv shows I'm watching, what seasons I'm missing, etc, lol, so it's been kind of similar and allowed me to practice. Just by watching the beginners, intermediate and now the advanced ones I went on to explore other functions, just figured how to do the genre's list throughout different sheets, etc... amazing!

Thank you for the refresher... I had a question. Assuming my data is a list is names, my list is alphabetized, and saved in a range. I was wondering is there a way to get the drop down data list to open by starting to type the data (a name I know is in the list) that opens the drop down data ribbon in the cell based on the first few characters entered?

Hello, I cannot say how grateful I am for this :) It is really awesome work, man. I did not know how much you can play with it, and what you can do to prevent some accidental incidents to happen. It reminds me a bit life itself :D, but this is a prevention in terms of using the Excel.
Anyway, I am now more smart, I make notes with everyone video you made.
I believe this helps anyone who wants to learn in MS Office :)
Thank you and keep your work up :)

For the individuals who are taking the Microsoft Office ProveIt Assessment (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), I highly encourage this video. I passed my tests with an overall score of 90.75. I made sure to add the video to my favorites so that if I am lacking in an area in the future, I can refer back to this video. Clear and concise instructions. The individual teaching this video is a great communicator in the sense that he does not bombard the viewers with confusing information.

When creating invoices, I would love to have a drop down box like this to choose from the customers (so it would insert their name, address, and company) without having to type it in. Would I add all of them to a separate sheet and use it that way? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have learned the validation but seeing a flaw. Instead of filling data one by one from list ,if I copy the set of data from other sheet or different column, the validation is not working. The set of value is getting populated with out error/warning. Do we have any feature to fix/Lock the format so that it it validate even we copy and past the value in the cell?

Hello, do you maybe know if it's possible on Spreadsheet to make a drop-down list based on a keyword?
So for example if in column D2 = text 'team1' only players from 'team1' is in the drop-down list.

Thank you for your great illustration.I have a question related to data validation HOW I can use data validation within a table and put into data validation numbers from 1 to 7 as a list and when I choose a number from these ones put inside the cell directly its day for example if I choose from the list 1 it will be written within the cell its day which is Sunday and so ( sunday = 1........ 7 = Saturday ) Please if you can answer me I will be very gratful to you. And if you customize a clip for this notion I will be happier.

Thanks for the information in this video. I was wondering if the list used for Data Validation could be filtered to shrink the list? As an example, you have several dozen food items... could you filter the list by vegetables, fruits, dressings, desserts, etc..., then when entering Food Types in a table, only see the sub-category of food in the drop-down list? Another example would be Vehicle Model, where the list is broken down by Vehicle Make (or vice-versa). It sure would be nice if you can, and even nicer if you could show how it's done. :)
