    Just like the double berry ice cream I shared with you a few months ago, this vegan vanilla ice cream is intensely creamy. With a deep vanilla bean aroma flavor, It has just a hint of coconut you’d only pick out if you knew you were looking for it.
    If you don’t do dairy like me, you may be looking for vegan cool treats to eat in the summer. Fortunately, grocery stores now carry a plethora of delicious non-dairy frozen desserts using various plant-based milks. But ever since I purchased my ice cream machine, I’ve been churning my own and the flavor possibilities are endless.
    The inspiration for this vegan vanilla ice cream came from Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss. The texture and flavor of Coconut Bliss is largely indistinguishable from premium ice cream. It’s smooth, creamy, decadent, and so satisfying.

    Gosh Petra, I just love your vids & channel!!! I'm vegetarian TRYING to learn how to be more vegan for ethical/nutritional concerns. AND you & your vlogs/recipes are helping me & family!! Your vids are so lovely, peaceful & most importantly, VERY educational!
    You are in my top 5 VLOGGERS & when, I don't get a notification of your latest video, I actively search TheXvid for it. OK, enuf about my love 4 your work. You probly get tired of hearing that but, I digress. FYI, I am a mom, despite my screen name, that lives in New England, USA. In this recipe, do you think I could substitute the coconut oil for Organic Olive Oil? I cook for my family & have to restrict some foods for some relatives. I'd like to swap out the coconut milk for frozen bananas but, I'm not sure if that would work becuz frozen bananas defrost very quickly. Any suggestions? If you have time, I realize this Vid is from 2018.

    I love your Channel, Your recipes are all in my Top 10, definitely running side by side as one of my 2 number 1's, your recipes are clear, clean cut & simple, you lean more towards the type of ingredients I prefer, & your very versatile with the recipes you offer. I'm not sure if I've seen anything Mexican or of Latin culture inspired flavors on your channel, I will go back and search that, however if you dont, would you be interested to do a Cuban or Mexican Vegan Dish?     I just made this and I am so happy with the end result! I swirled some raspberry reduction in and the coconut isn’t overpowering . Thank you for the recipe and your videos ! How would one make a chocolate vegan ice cream ? ♥️✌🏽

      Thank you so much for the feedback, Russel! I don't have a recipe yet, but if I was developing one, I would probably start with the vanilla ice cream base, but decrease the amount of vanilla, add some cacao (or cocoa) powder, increase the amount of sweetener (since cocoa will introduce bitterness), and perhaps even add melted dark chocolate (I have a recipe for dark tempered chocolate here: nutritionrefined.com/raw-chocolate-bark/)

    I made this and it is sooooooo good I only used 1/2 a cup of maple syrup and I feel a full cup would’ve been way too sweet. But great recipe!

    No butterfat? This isn't ice cream. Ice cream requires at least 10% butterfat.

    I can’t have cashews so I will be using macadamia nuts if I do use macadamia nuts do I still have to soak them and if so for how long

    Hi! Thanks for all the beautiful vegan ice cream recipes! Did you know you can make it fat free too by omitting the coconut milk and using fat free milk mixed with gelatin dissolved in water instead? This way you get a full fat taste without the fat! Later!

      Yes but they need to soak longer than raw. I've never noticed a difference in recipes

    It looks good but I'm left with the question if cashews can be considered part of raw vegan diet, whenever I see raw foodists use this item, as I saw it being mentionned in a raw vegan group about thé heat to get it out shell.

    Hi there!!
    I think I am going to try and make this as it looks fantastic... Also for the fact it is made of simple, fewer and way healthier ingredients!
    But I have a question : what variations would I need to make if I used this base recipe but wanted to turn it into either pistachio ice cream or just dark chocolate ice cream?!

      You would need to put the mixture in the freezer and mix every 30 mins for 2 hours and let it set for 4 hours after
