  • In episode 27, we continue with the myriad little jobs needing sorting. We're so close to stripping it down for paint, but there's still a bunch of stuff that needs sorting, so we crack on like a pair of lunatics...

It's okay to do a Tarzan swing on the inner cable but you also need to proof load between the abutments to the same load as the cable is a push/pull.
I do enjoy every part of your videos, keep up the good work.

I start building rally cars Mk 1 lotus cortaina's in the late 60's, having owned GT4-turbo rebuilt the engine to race spec with a supra turbo in the late 90's and owned many mini's cars vans pick ups estates, 1293 S that I built from a shell, pulled 8,500 rpm,, quick car back in the 70's and later put a 1100 GSR in the back of a mini car, RWD, I think what your doing is brave and great, loving the project, you have managed to do all the things I wonted to do but never had the time or finances, All so converted a mobil library to live in 2010 really know what your up against,we'll done guys, Andy thorne

A lot of car project channels give me anxiety about my own ability and knowledge when it comes to achieving the results I want for my own vehicle. Even though you guys are among the most thorough, knowledgeable and multi - skilled out there, I never feel that way about your videos. Probably because you always give a nod to just how bloody long and arduous it can be. Thanks for the years of fun boys.

Are y'all planning on doing an engine rebuild/modify before you set it in place? It would be really nice to see some forged internals go into it with a hand done tune, to match all of the other beautiful work that's been done so far.

I've mixed emotions about seeing this project coming so close to completion.
Having followed it since the very beginning, I've come to enjoy the anticipation of each new episode.
Once the new episodes are posted, I enjoy them immensely, but they are over all too soon, which leads back to anticipating the next new episode.
I've been watching the Escargot series, which is also brilliant, but somehow, it's just not the same.
I've had to accept all of that, and resign myself to looking forward to whatever you lads come up with, next!
    I really love your work!

Oh and yes you have another subscriber.
Have you ever thought about a split screen Volkswagen Camper Van refurbishment....just imagine you could install a multi media system with screens playing your own channel on loop...yeah...that'd be great..apart from all that wiring again!!
Awesome channel and this project in particular...also I loved the hints of Red Dwarf humour - The Boys From The Dwarf would be proud and probably get you onto fixing Starbug.....Ha! Wow! Was that just a great name for a VW Camper project....PROJECT STARBUG!!
